A nice locally owned place offering healthy quick food option to pick up and go. There are a couple of tables outside, but they're... outside, so can be hot or miss depending on the weather. We got soups and sandwiches, smoothies, and a hot Mexican oatmeal drink called "atole de avena" which was DELICIOUS. It wasn't on their menu (that I saw), but when I asked if they had anything hot to drink, the very sweet lady at the counter offered that up and I'm so glad she did. It tasted like an oatmeal cookie. The sandwiches were grilled cheese (they were fine. Standard grilled cheese, nothing special) and the soups we had were tomato basil (disappointing. Tasted like spaghetti sauce that hadn't been cooked long enough [tomatoes were still very acidic] and the texture was not good) creamy chicken and rice (which was fantastic. I wish I'd ordered that one). A friend we were eating with got their savory pumpkin soup and was pleased with it. The soup portions (and a salad a friend got) were also very generous. We ended up having soup for dinner that day too. I can't remember which smoothies my kids got, but they were pleased with them all. They post their soups of the day on their Facebook page, if you like to plan ahead. The bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated. I'm looking forward to trying them out again.

18 dollars for a small salad and a cold press juice? While the salad is warm? Yeah, no thanks

Our dining day Started off rough but everything happens for a reason....driving north we decided to…read morestop off at this little gem. I've eaten here before but it was years ago. We just had BBQ yesterday from Terry Blacks. Today's experience was phenomenal. The folks were super nice. They have Texas Twinkie's...my absolute favorite. Theirs is 5 stars. Smoked perfectly. They weren't over powered with cheese. I ordered ham. It looked dry and I was worried when she was slicing it. It was anything but dry. Smoked perfectly and tasty. I loved it. Great flavor. The brisket was fatty, tender and pull apart deliciousness. My sis loved her pulled pork sandwich. Proudly exclaimed 5 stars! We tried their jalapeño Mac n cheese, green beans, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and macaroni salad. The Mac n cheese. Heavenly and the best I've had in Texas. We loved their potato salad. I'm telling you it was perfection. It's a mashed potato salad...and I'd argue like the Mac n cheese the best I've ever had. Coleslaw was creamy and not too sweet and we also really liked their macaroni salad. 2 things. Green beans weren't seasoned. Super bland. And I'm not a fan of how they prepackage their sides and you grab it out of the warmer or cooler. Their sides are some of the best in DFW. Let people see the product. Preparing them ahead gives a generic look and feel. I almost forgot the banana pudding. Soooo good. A must try! I liked that the lady stopped by and how everything was...it was warm and genuine. Bottom line 5 stars. We really really enjoyed it. We will back!

First of all what a hidden gem and honestly never knew about this place till I just happened to…read morechat gpt spots to eat in Decatur. Was visiting for the day and figured why not I love a good challenge. Boy did it not disappoint the outside well let me back up its hidden in a parking lot of some establishments that I can't remember off the top of my head but when you arrive just know you gotta keep an eye out for this place. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming the ordering prices was nice as well very clear cut and doesn't make you feel rushed. Service was quick to I got it to go and it was right at open but I can tell at any moment this place will be popping. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing as were the ribs. The rub on it was fantastic it was euphoric but man only two pieces. The Mac and cheese for me is the star even though I like my Mac and cheese like a cardi b song the bread crumbs made up for it. Now the downside. The banana pudding. I'm a stickler for a banana pudding. This isn't it yall. Skip it at five dollars it's just not worth it. No nilla waffers not actual banana pieces in it. No layered whip. Just it's not my thing it might be for some but my banana pudding standards are thru the roof. The ambiance is great plenty of seating inside and looks amazing. From the outside you'll be like what the heck but once inside you'll feel like man I'm here for something special. Minus the banana pudding. What a great find and this town is lucky to have this place in its home.

Driving around Texas eating BBQ on the Texas Monthly Top 50 so we had to drop by North Texas Smoke…read more I knew that this place was popular and might sell out fast so I started calling and DM this place as we really did want so brisket. The problem occurred when we showed up and were told that they were out of Brisket. After a brief conversation with the lady taking orders and the pit master they were able to find us some chopped and sliced brisket, THANK YOU. The brisket was good as were the ribs but the star of the show was the boudin. We got our order to go. So the process is order and pay out 1 window then wait to hear your name so that you can get your order. When we visited the place was hard to find and we drove past it once as they did not have a sign. It's a nice place and the food was good. My recommendation try hard to order early and call them several times before they run out of brisket.
