We had an amazing experience with Paradiso Charters for the spreading of my sister's ashes. I highly recommend them for this service. Captain Joe, Captain Noah, and our favorite, first mate Treble, took excellent care of us. The ride to/from Newport Harbor is slow and calm as you take in the beauty of Balboa Bay, The Wedge, Corona Del Mar, Laguna Beach and more. The spreading of ashes takes place about a mile out to sea. Captain Noah, in captain hat and blazer, lead us through a short ceremony with a few words and then released ashes and flowers to the sea. Captain Joe then circled the area, allowing us to say final goodbyes as we watched the floating leis and flowers. Family is welcome to add words of thoughts and prayers. It was very emotional. It was a beautiful way for our family to lay our sister to rest. We were a fairly small group of ten. The ship would easily accommodate twice as many people. There are three levels. There are ladder like steps up from the entry level/lowest level to the second deck where there is a full bar and comfy inside seating. The third level is where Captain Joe and Treble controls the ship, and where there is a deck with table and chair seating. The entire trip was two hours. They provide roses for everyone to toss. We also brought leis to wear and toss. Not included in the cost is alcohol and snacks. They share a parking lot with Bluewater Grill. They give you parking vouchers for the time you are on the cruise. We chose to have lunch at Bluewater Grill after, which was so convenient. Bluewater Grill charges $7 for valet parking. Communication was excellent. Ship is clean and comfortable. Crew was warm and welcoming. Treble is a good boy!

Paradiso handled our celebration of life for my sister. They were so easy to work with and helped us through the day. Captain Joe and Captain Noah were amazing! We were assisted through the entire process of scattering of ashes. Captain Noah prepared the ashes and flowers for the scattering. It was a very special and moving experience. Thank you Paradiso for a day we will remember and cherish. We also loved Treble! He was a nice extra companion on our trip!

This was our 3rd annual charter on the Paradiso. Tanya Sella, has always been our contact. I cannot say enough about Tanya and the staff. Professional, efficient and spot on. We love captain Joe and his first mate Treble, the Lab. They recommended Chef Tom for our charter. Our guests RAVED about the food. I almost didn't want to share this review. It's our best kept secret. See ya next year!

Watch charter in the heart of Lido in Newport Beach. Went onboard and chit chattering with the skipper and crew. All were super nice! I could only imagine that they do justice to provide short-lived entertainment of all kinds. I think their charter can accommodate 70-80 peeps? But for sure a good idea to get out of the norm of having a get together.

From the first phone call to the moment we stepped off the charter, the crew was incredible kind, professional, and compassionate. We chartered the yacht to spread my son's ashes, and they guided us through the process with such care. The service was beautiful, the setting peaceful and the crew made a difficult day feel comforting and meaningful. Highly recommend

Captain Joe and his staff were over the top, we will be back soon. The food was delicious and the boat was immaculate. This 85 foot boat accommodates 70 guests comfortably and even has an amazing black Labrador named Treble. If you're looking for something special to share with family and friends in Orange County this is an excellent experience.

This is the 2nd year in a row that we have chartered the Paradiso for a corporate event. Our experience is always amazing with Tonya and the crew. They are great communicators and extremely punctual. We hosted 64 people on August 15th. It was epic. Thank you Captain Noah, Joe and first mate Tonya.

All around FIVE STAR experience!! We used Paradiso Yacht Charters for a 40th surprise party. Everything from planning and booking the boat to the actual event was smooth and easy. The boat held 45 people comfortably. Everything was clean and super nice. The boat captain and crew were super friendly and made our night and experience really great! Pretty sure were just going to host all our parties here from now on!!!

This will stop number three and my thought is even if we never see a whale. It's always a pleasant way to spend a few hours out on the water.. Everyone on the boat was super professional and informative. We really appreciate Laura spitting facts at us and making sure we knew what was going on. At one point, I was standing in front of the boat and I was about to go sit back down, but Laura told me to stay because she knew we would see something soon and we saw a Fin whale, which we stopped for a while to watch come up and down and no matter what it's always magical. We ran into a bunch of dolphins and watching them chop and play as always fulfilling. There's no way you can go wrong with this excursion, especially with a discount. They seem to always be offering. They also give all the birthday people a drink cozy. Highly recommend a great way to spend a few hours..

However, since he still can't travel too far, we decided to visit somewhere close by. So, we booked a hotel in Dana Point and had a wonderful two-night trip. On Saturday, July 4th, we all booked tickets for a whale/dolphin-watching cruise. When I booked the tickets, I asked how long the tour would be, and they said it would be two hours. The ticket prices were $78 for adults and $68 for seniors. At first, my brother accidentally bought all five tickets at the adult rate when three of them should have been seniors. I noticed this on the receipt, so I managed to get a refund for the price difference for the three senior tickets. We bought five tickets for the 12:00 PM cruise and were told to wait at Dock 6 starting from 11:45 AM, but the boat arrived a bit late. Once we got on board, the wind was blowing incredibly hard, and the waves were quite high, causing the boat to rock violently. After boarding, a friendly female crew member gave us a briefing at the front. She kindly advised everyone on board not to run, and said that if anyone felt seasick, it would be better to stay towards the back of the boat rather than the front. She also mentioned that if the motion sickness got too bad, they could provide peppermint or ginger candies, and added that there was a bar and snack counter inside the boat. Come to think of it, I once went sailing on a yacht with my friends a long time ago. For the first 30 minutes, I was clapping, taking photos, and having a great time, but then I got so severely seasick that I had a truly miserable time (the same thing happened to me on a cruise trip before). Still, when I rode a boat at Lake Arrowhead last year, I didn't experience any seasickness at all, so I thought I would be fine this time too--though looking back, that was probably because the lake was so calm. But during this cruise on July 4th, I ended up getting so incredibly seasick that I felt like I was dying. About 10 minutes before we docked, the seasickness got so severe that I even started dry-heaving, and it was just awful. I was dizzy, and my stomach kept churning. Even so, it was really wonderful to see so many dolphins during the cruise, and the crew members were all so kind. When I was struggling with severe seasickness, my brother went to inform the crew. A crew member came over and asked if I wanted a peppermint, ginger, or ginger ale candy. I asked for a peppermint candy, and they handed it to me, saying it was free. When I asked, "Does it work?" she assured me it would. I sucked on the candy while sitting at the back of the boat and fell asleep, but later on, the seasickness became so overwhelmingly intense that I ended up throwing up everything and had a horrible time. Anyone who gets easily seasick should definitely take this into consideration before going on a cruise. Still, seeing so many dolphins was a huge highlight.
