Used Prince Charters to scatter the ashes of my father. I was searching other websites and liked the vessel that would be used if we went with Prince Charters. I was also surprised that their cost was about the lowest I saw. Things only got better from there. Over the phone they were very professional, respectful and answered all the questions I had, being the first time I had needed this service. I felt the scattering of remains was being handled and I could focus on other matters dealing with the passing of my father. The day of the ceremony continued to be a breeze. Parking was very easy and Capt. Doug and crew had the boat tied up and waiting for us to show up. The boat was beautiful and looked better in person than the photographs. (Something you rarely see). I had a music playlist all set up on my phone and it took just a few seconds to have it coming through the boat's speakers. The actual scattering was very traditionally nautical with the ringing of the bell and circling the site. Doug and Donna (Capt. and crew) had everything very organized and were very nice. I had to arrange an ash scattering service for my mom who passed away of Covid19, Donna sympathetically and thoughtfully helped me with the difficult details. This was my first time doing an ashes at sea scattering and I would choose this over a funeral any day!!! It was so peaceful and beautiful. I booked the larger boat "Journey" for 10 family members at 11 am on a Sunday in July and the weather was perfect. It was nice to have room for all of us to move around and not be packed into a tiny boat. The captain Jimmy and first mate (i forgot his name ) were very professional and accommodating. The first mate helped us with parking and carrying our belongings to the boat. We played my dad's favorite songs on the boat's bluetooth speaker and were allowed 15 min to say our final thoughts. The whole process took about 1.5 hrs. When my dad was put into the water, the first mate rang the bell, and we circled him 3 times. It was overcast and the clouds opened up right when he was in the water. It was perfect and such a magical moment, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a funeral alternative. Last month I scheduled a sail with a handful of friends with Captain Doug and his wife. This time around, scheduling was a breeze. He was prompt and timely with all his responses, and all the information he sent about the location of the dock, etc., were very helpful. One girl in our party got lost regardless, because Apple Maps is one of the worst programs to ever be invented, but he took the phone and directed her to where we were. The boat is beautiful and reminded me of when I used to sail. It made me want to get a boat of my own, but alas, I cannot yet afford one. I may never be able to afford one -- haha -- but there is still time before I can say so for sure. Snacks and soda were provided. Though we didn't partake in any of the beverages because we brought our own, we ate all the fruit, cookies, crackers, and cheese that was put out. Our favorite was the asiago, and the five of us ate it like we had never before set eyes on cheese. It was quite embarrassing. Mostly, though, we were too busy looking around and enjoying the views and sail for much else. Dough and his wife were delightful and joined in on our conversations and jokes. He even let each of us have a hand at steering the vessel, and we got some great pictures along the way. This was a huge win on Yelp for me! These good reviews about Prince Charters did not lie. We had the best experience!! I booked their Luxury Yacht for 30 people for my husband's birthday and everyone had the best time. We left the dock at 6p and did a 2.5 hour ride and it went by so fast, I wish I just would've went with the 3 hour ride but none the less it was so beautiful seeing the sunset from the boat. Yes it gets cold at night BUT they even offer blankets and that was such a nice touch. Donna helped me with all my questions and booking. She was so sweet and made sure everything was good to go prior to the day of our charter. The captain and crew were AWESOME! Bartender was great. For the price of everything this was way better and a lot more intimate than doing a party at home. Our friends were so impressed and my husband absolutely loved it. What to do when it's my Husband's birthday and I planned an outdoor party at the beach. But it's gonna rain ... I have used prince charters before and had heard they recently added a larger boat to their fleet so I called to see if they could accommodate. Communication was excellent and the next thing you know I booked our trip and told our friends to meet at the dock. The ride was beautiful and peaceful. We found Prince Charter, LLC. from a web search and contacted them for the ash scattering service for our relatives. I left an email and also called them. Dana responded quickly and we reserved the Alexandria for the service for our family of 10. The reservation was easy, and the communication was very efficient and courteous. We were informed about the steps to prepare for the ash scattering. On the day of the service, we met Gabriel and Jimmy at the Huntington Beach Yacht Chub dock and boarded the ship. Gabriel prepared the beautiful basket with yellow roses (per our request with Donna) and a red rose in the middle to hold the ash. He also sprinkled the basket with the small white champaca flowers (magnolia) that we brought from our garden. We rode about 25 minutes in the Huntington harbor area and the ride was very smooth. When we entered the open sea, the ride was a little choppy because of the waves. We brought Dramamine for seasickness, but we did not need to use it. We chose Huntington Beach over Seal Beach location since we live in HB. The captain rang the bell four times when we lowered the basket and let the ashes into the sea water. It was a very dignified ceremony to say the last farewell to our beloved family member. We then returned to the dock. The whole trip took about 90 minutes. Later, they sent the certificate with the GPS coordinates, date and time using a photo from the service as the background. We booked a 2 hour sunset cruise to celebrate a friend's birthday on the Alexandria. I was impressed with the warm and welcome service given during booking and every moment after. The captain was fun and informative, and knew when to give us space to do our thing. We had 3 toddlers with us and they loved it as well. We brought our own food and ordered beer and wine from them. Everything turned out amazing! I was most impressed with their attention to detail to provide the best experience for us. The alcohol was chilled, glasses provided for beer and wine, and there were cup holders so we don't have to carry our glasses the whole time. We forgot my daughter's lunchbox and they called to let us know and mailed it back to us. What great service! read more

Because I had a busy schedule and my coupon time was running out, I had a very limited time to do this and he was VERY accommodating in keeping in touch and notifying me of available time slots. Booked the wooden boat charter for my brother and sisters birthday celebration and it was a blast. Definitely make sure to order the drinks ahead of time so they have your selection :) we did have a larger group of 12 and it is a tight fit but lots of fun. Would recommend the 3 hour charter as 2 hours I thought was a little short if you want to eat and drink. Don't wear heels so you can walk freely in the boat.
