I recently visited Prince Tea House, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots for a comforting tea experience in Queens. I like the cozy and semi-elegant ambiance especially for a quick tea with friends. As for the tea selection, they have an extensive menu with a variety of teas from classic black and green teas to unique blends. I usually opt for their Rose tea (hot) or the Assam Tea (iced), because I tend to gravitate towards fragrant teas. The desserts and curly fries have great portions, and taste amazing. The hot teas come with a teapot warmer- very necessary. The only negative is that I need the teas to be sweet to bring the flavors out, but the teas are never sweet enough in my opinion. I end up getting them with 120% sugar (yeah it sounds wild but this is the percentage that makes it just sweet enough but not too sweet). read more

If you're looking to dine in at Martha's, I would recommend trying this spot instead, as it has more space, better aesthetic and better lighting. Prince Tea House at Forest Hills has a nice, cozy, white and slightly upscale/luxurious aesthetic. The service here is great. Vince, one of the employees, was so kind and cordial. The teas and the desserts also came out pretty fast (within 10 minutes). The green tea crepe cake is a must order. The bitterness of the green tea is well balanced by the creaminess and sweetness of the filling. The English Toffee tea is also a must. It's sweet and milky. Think bubble tea without the pearls and lighter. If you're tired of regular milk tea, I would recommend trying the rose milk tea. It's unique. It has the milk tea component with a strong and fragrant rose mix and aftertaste. I'm not a rose tea fanatic, but this one is definitely worth trying. Overall, Prince Tea House has my highest recommendation. This is in contrast with my review of the one at Flushing, which I gave a 3/5 stars. I would recommend going here instead of the Flushing spot, and definitely worth checking out as an alternative if you're looking to dine in at Martha's. read more

This was a bucket list item of mine, and I'm glad I was able to go. This location is in Forest Hills near Station Square (also worth taking a stroll in the Forest Hills Garden). It was everything I imagined to be, from the dainty decor, soft music, to the bright and cute atmosphere. It would be a great place for a date or to hang out with friends. The service was great, even though it was super busy. The bathroom is clean and nicely decorated. - The Katsu Chicken Sandwich was freshly fried and came piping hot sandwiched between a toasted brioche. The katsu sauce was perfectly tangy and I like that it came on the side so you can control how much sauce you want to put. - The iced Passionfruit Green Tea was very refreshing, and not super sweet. I actually really enjoyed this. - The Purple Yam Mille crepe cake. It was a pretty slice of cake; full of bright vibrant layers of purple. With indoor dining closed and the weather getting colder by the day, I decided to order delivery from Prince Tea House. They do offer outdoor dining but delivery/takeout is a good alternative. I ordered their salted fried chicken, takoyaki, and their boba crepe cake. It was delivered in a timely manner and everything was packed well and food was still hot. Their fried chicken was amazing and the portion was large! Well seasoned and perfectly fried tender chunks of chicken reminiscent of the ones I get in Taiwan. Their takoyaki was pretty standard but also hits the spot when you're craving. Their boba crepe cake had a layer of sugar that had been torched much like that of a creme brûlée. The salted milk foam was not my favorite as it was a bit too salty for my tastes, but it did help cut down the sweetness of the cake and brown sugar boba. Overall, a great delivery experience! Can't wait to dine in once indoor dining is allowed again! I came here for a birthday lunch way back at the end of September. They have a cute outdoor dining setup in front of their cafe. I've never been to a Prince street tea house but they have a couple scattered throughout the city. I will say - deserts way better than their actual savory options. We ordered both. But the salmon sandwich while the salmon was fresh, it was just missing something. Maybe dill. Maybe some creme fraiche or a smear of butter or cream cheese. I wouldn't slap salmon on some bread with iceberg or romaine lettuce and call it a day. Play around with flavors that accentuate the fish on the bread. Their takoyaki balls were decent and their curly fries were nicely seasoned. OKAY, deserts! Being that it was a luke warm day we both had iced green tea milk teas that were delicious. We tried both the rose and lavender. Not sure which I preferred. They are both subtle floral flavors and tasty. Of course we got their crepe cakes. This is their shining glory. Their name to fame. The ube one was tasty. The brown sugar boba was not my cup of tea. I particularly don't like boba bubbles to begin with and it also comes with a custard that's very salty that wasn't to my palate but people do rave about how much they love this. The tiramisu is very compact in a jar - but good. The molten lava cake was probably my favorite after the ube crepe cake. It was a desert bonanza. Five cakes for my covid birthday - just because. This location recently opened and, having tried the other Prince Tea Houses, I had to stop by. There is outdoor dining in tents set up outside. However, there are no coverings for the sides so be sure to dress warm if it's cold out. The dining is located near the cobblestone part of Forest Hills, which made it somewhat picturesque to sit there and drink tea. It felt like I was back at a cafe in Rome. I feel the location is really cute and will make this a great spot when the weather gets warm. The menu wasn't as expansive as the other locations, which might be because it recently opened. I got my usual English Toffee Milk Tea and decided to try the Fruits Paradise Tea. I also had the Purple Yam Mille Crepe Cake. As usual, the English Toffee did not disappoint. It is such a comforting tea and has the perfect blend of sweet and creamy. It's great for a cold night and warmed me up right away. The Fruits Paradise was a surprise. Sweet, tart, refreshing, it was bursting with flavor! A mix of mango, peach, strawberry, pineapple, passion fuit, and orange, this tea was a great fruit medley. The Purple Yam Mille Crepe cake was really delicious. It wasn't too sweet and the yams gave it an interesting taste. At times, it reminded me of durian. The pieces of yam in the cake was also a surprise but it didn't deter from how yummy the cake was; it just made the taste all the more unique to me. Great new tea spot in the heart of Forest Hills Garden. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area as well as in door. There are so many choices of tea and coffee you can choose from. My favorite was ordering a pot of jasmine tea I'd shared with a friend. We'd enjoyed two cups each on a cool weekday evening. I'd also ordered their Katsu chicken sandwich. It was a perfect combination just light and yummy! The ambience here was incredible with excellent services; the staff were extremely outgoing and super helpful and nice. I'd enjoyed my time here with no worries in the mist of COVID-19. It's great to have a tea house in the gardens where one can come here to enjoy some tea and a small bite after a nice jog in the neighborhood or just spend some quality time relaxing. Love this location, super cute and modern. We arrived shortly after opening and it was quiet, only one other table. Temperature checks and sanitizer upon arrival. Started with the rose lovers tea which is a must try, you get an entire tea pot and a pot warmer, a shareable amount. The iced potted plant drinks are super cute but I think would taste better as a hot drink Santa Fe chicken rolls were really good, so was the smoked salmon salad. We had the rose milk tea which was nice but not overly rose flavoured and I think the other one was the water garden tea which was fruity and really nice. As appetiser we had the crab meat salad and added smoked salmon and the shrimp with fish and chips. The salad was a good size but the shrimp with fish a chips was overpriced for what it was. Just a mountain of fries with a tiny piece of fish and 2 shrimp. For dessert we had the limited time purple yam soufflé cake with vanilla ice cream which was delicious. Cute little eatery that's opened up in Forest Hills right in Station Square. There's a nice little outdoor area that's blocked off from passersby with a cute wall(?) sort of construction and the tables are spread out to allow for social distancing. We arrived at noon and there was already a line for the tea house! We waited for around 15 min or so and were quickly seated and told to scan a QR code to access the menu. The food arrived pretty quickly and the presentation was phenomenal. I saw most other customers ordered their teas (which we probably should have given the name of the place LOL), which were all in cute teacups with small little cups. This seems like a great relaxing environment to go on a cute date or just spend a moment outside in a socially distant way. With regard to the food, the dishes I would most recommend are the takoyaki, twister fries and brown sugar mille crepe. I definitely want to try the other mille crepes next time I visit as this mille crepe was phenomenal! The cream and boba come on the side so you can add as much as you want to the crepe, though I recommend pouring all the cream and boba as the flavors really complement each other. With regard to their sandwiches, I thought the smoked salmon SLT was pretty small (especially compared to their other sandwiches!) and a bit dry. I tried a bite of the katsu chicken brioche and their beef sukiyaki baguette and also thought they weren't particularly memorable. I definitely felt like this spot was better at the smaller side dishes and desserts than main dishes (there also weren't that many options). I've come in to dine in and takeout. Both times service was efficient and all the drinks and food were out quickly. Employees are warm and helpful in case you have any questions or concerns. As usual a clean and gorgeous interior. I'm not a boba fanatic or care much for it, but the brown sugar boba Mille crepe is delicious. It's something you will think about long after having had it. The topmost layer of the crepe cake is caramelized like creme brûlée which adds a nice crunchy touch. The cream is lightly salted and foamy and adds a special touch to the crepe. The crepes are fresh and the cream in between is generous. The salted foam and boba comes in separate little containers for you to add on top yourself which is cute. It is a little pricey but it's worth trying once! I also tried the trio dessert plate and had ice cream, a fruit tart, and a Neapolitan. The ice cream was standard fair, the fruit tart I did not like as the fruit was bitter and sour?! Might be because of the season. Honestly, don't really remember the Napoleon at all beyond that it didn't live up to the name and what you'd expect of a Napoleon. Ice cream is ice cream. My friend got the iced rose milk tea and swears by it. It's something she recommends to everyone. It wasn't my first time at Prince Tea House, but it was my first time at this location. I love that they have booths here so it makes for a slightly elevated experience. All their locations have such nice seating, which I appreciate. I was set on getting a milk tea, and I wanted something nutty/caramel flavored. This was 10000% what I was looking for. The teas come in this gorgeous tea pot with a tea warmer (which is so great because you can just sit here and chat and drink tea for as long as you please without your beverage getting cold) There is a 90minute time limit on the tables, but I haven't seen it enforced. We were definitely seated here for just about that amount of time. It was my first time trying Takoyaki and WOW. It's basically an octopus ball, which doesn't sound appetizing at first, but somehow my new favorite. Plus, the playing was cute which is always a plus for me because I am a sucker for aesthetics. Prince Tea House is easily a 10/10. They have sandwiches and wings (which come without sauce, and have it on the side which I personally like since I don't always like my wings doused in sauce). After you put your name down on the list, you wait around and will receive a text when the table is ready - quite efficient. The wait on a weekday night at 7pm was around 20mins. The menu is QR accessible and classy with options of tea and fusion style desserts. We ordered the popular Purple Yam Mille Crêpes Cake and Coconut Panna Catta. The Purple Yam Crepe cake mirrored the crepe cake from Lady M's in the design, presentation, and taste. Each bite resulted to a desire for another. Note a vertical stab with the fork is the way to go as oppose to eating the cake horizontally one layer at a time (not judging if you do). The coconut flam was succulent and tarty, and supplemented well with the strawberry ice cream. The service by the servers is attentive and quick, however the prices are quite up there - $10 for a slice of crepe cake probably due to the pandemic and inflation.
