    Whole Berry Napoleon
    Gordon Y.

Cuisine: 6 Service: 6 Decor: 6 Value: 6 Overall: 6 Many people seem to love this place, but it's simply too sweet for me. Over the years, I have tried many of their desserts since it's one of the only decent dessert options around the area. However, it would not be my first choice if I had others. With that said, my whole family and many of my friends all agree that their best item is the Berry Napoleon. That is the one cake that I do enjoy from this shop. We often buy a whole cake for a group gathering or birthdays. As for dining in, there's always a lot of people inside the store and it gets a bit loud. Not my favorite place to relax and chat with my friends. That's why I only buy takeout when I do get the Berry Napoleon. I think I do prefer the Astoria original location more.

Martha's Bakery is probably the most popular Bakery in Forest Hills. I came on a Saturday night and it was packed. The host was nice and immediately greeted us. Since the plan was to order to go, we were directed to the line against the desserts. Time flew by and it seems we were standing on the wrong side. I guess the host was overwhelmed. I ordered the flan. It was about $7-$8? I tried to eat it in the car but there was no spoon in my to go bag. The juice of the flan was also spilled on the bottom of the flan so I didn't even want to open it until I got home. As soon as I got home, I immediately wanted a bite. I was very underwhelmed with the size considering the price. Taste? It had an additional fruit taste to it I can't pin point but it doesn't belong on plain flan. I could not finish it. I believe I will continue to go to smaller mom and pop bakeries.

Wow! One of the BEST cupcakes I have had. It was quick to walk in the door and sit down. It was a really cute shop. The only thing I didn't like it that it was very very close together. The waitress was super friendly and quick.

Coming in here for the berry napoleon was so worth it- the cream was excellent and berries fresh. It's a nice sizeable sharing portion, honestly could feed three people it's so big. The pastry is crispy- light and airy just as it should be. I was skeptical when I saw a bright blue cake slice here.. but the Napoleon was awesome. I wish I had more room in my stomach to try the other cake slices they had. There's a tremendous variety

I only have two words to describe Martha's- Availability and Delicious. You walk in and you see cakes, cakes, and more cakes. I would go as far to say that their aesthesis are cakes! Just kidding but this is a casual pick up, I saw tables but I am not sure if one can dine in They have all kinds of cakes, Red Velvet, Blue Velvet, 7 layers, mousse cakes, cheesecakes, They got me up in there. No, seriously! have you ever had a Napoleon, well these Napoleon's has fruits in them. They are a bit sweet so you may want to eat it in portions. You know, like that candy; Now and Later. Same concept with the Napoleon pastry, eat some now and eat some later. They have breakfast items as well as hot drinks. I purchased a blue velvet cake, a mousse cake and my names sake, a Napoleon. I purchased a Chai Latte. it was okay, not like I am used to drinking but it was hot with a mild taste. The service was also great today. They had three women standing in one spot directing people for pick up or carry. I am thinking that each person takes turns asking the same question to better serve the customer. Welp! I am glad that I was made aware of this location, no more driving to Bayside. Good reason to ... Inspire more, Yelp more!

Martha's bakery has always been a staple for me when it comes to desserts. Not only are they kosher but they have a wide variety of treats which are made with love and delicious. On this particular visit I decided to try their coffee and I regretted it. The cashier recommended the frappe because I wanted something strong. What I received from the barista was a cup of whipped air. I took 2 sips of actual coffee and the rest was foam (as seen in the picture). Going forward I'll only get the desserts and stay away from the drinks.

    Apple strudel with ice cream
    Kimberly M.

A novelty that has worn off a bit, it is easy to see why this place is popular. But the reality is the quality is just okay. The apple strudel is burnt on the outside creating a tough pastry. The ice cream doesn't have a ton of flavor. The carrot cake was dense and standard in taste. I have been here a couple of times and sadly there's nothing that's super memorable. Service is good though they get really busy and it took a while to get our check. There are so many pastry shops nearby. Save the $10 a piece plus and go elsewhere.

This place is located in the heart of Forest Hills, Queens. This is one of my go-to bakeries for cakes. The service is excellent, and the staff are very organized. When you walk in, the hosts greet you and ask whether you're there for takeout or dine-in. I usually come here for takeout, so I haven't dined in at this location yet. The workers are quick and always helpful with suggestions, and the cakes and slices are consistently fresh. The bakery is often busy, with long lines and many people choosing to dine in. It's a great spot to hang out late at night--enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a delicious slice of cake. I highly recommend it. I always order either Oreo cheesecake, black forest, seven-layer chocolate, strawberry shortcake, and tiramisu.

Super crowded but they move through the line very quickly. Like most of the people I grabbed my desserts to take home but there are lots of seats inside. I got one scoop of the pistachio gelato it was so so good! I also got the dulce de leche cheesecake, I had to stop myself from eating it all in one sitting, will definitely be going back again !

This place is always super packed and I definitely understand why. They have such a huge variety of cakes for all ages but my go to will always be the Berry Napoleon. It is just do flaky and creamy but not too sweet and I have yet to give it to wontons to try and been given negative feedback. This bakery does in food seating as well as take out and the line for takeout is always huge so I always make sure to call in to preorder birthday cakes do that the transaction can be seamless. Don't be deterred by the long line, it is worth the wait!

I've had Martha's before thanks to friends who've brought over their cakes, but this was my first time visiting in person. Nice, spacious, and clean spot. We stopped by for dessert during the afternoon, and the experience didn't disappoint. Service was great, the place is well-organized you can either grab something to go or check in with the hostess to stay. We all picked a dessert, and we all loved what we got. I had the mini passion fruit mousse cake, and honestly, it might be one of the best desserts I've ever had perfectly balanced: lightly sweet, slightly tart, airy, and just the right size. The berry napoleon was another standout. With so many tempting options on display, I'm already looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the area. Prices are surprisingly reasonable too which is a PLUS.

    Vegan Strawberry Cheesecake Cake Slice
    Diana A.

Stopped in for a birthday celebratory vegan cheesecake and matcha. My companions had a tres leches cheesecake and an oreo cheesecake. First time I tried the hot Matcha tea with almond milk-it was okay. I thought it was nice and creamy but a little tart, you have to add your own sweetener. Some of the pictures that I posted here were from the last visit a few months ago--all of the deserts are great. Service was okay today, sometimes when it's really busy you get ignored but eventually someone came to give us the check. Ambiance is good--lots of seating which is comfortable. Highly recommend it as a coffee/tea and pastry place to visit with friends.

So we had dinner and wanted a good dessert, and this is where we ended up. We were able to walk right in and be seated, however it was pretty busy on this Saturday night. Our waiter was excellent and patient as we ordered a good bit of stuff. It all came and was so good. I def need to have more of the is cheesecake in my life. Side note I love the Christmas decorations they had up at the time.

It didn't take long for the order to be ready and it was all packed in an insulated bag. Inside, there are a few tables and countertop seats. The caramel egg tart is filled with custard core and a caramel aroma, the coffee tiramisu tart has a sponge cake soaked in coffee and layered with cream on a crisp and buttery tart, and the matcha tiramisu tart is made with premium Jingshan matcha powder fully infused into the cake base and layered with smooth cream cheese filling. The tarts are golden and have crispy layers. It just melts in your mouth. They are also a good size. The matcha latte boba was also very good. NaiSnow is definitely worth checking out!

So I ordered 2 Highland Tea Latte today, service from the register was normal. But when I told her…read moremy instructions, it was no cheese foam, no cocoa powder, and no ice. I normally get this drink and the drink just comes out slightly less than it should be. Today, the one making the drinks had the audacity to really hand me two cups looking like this. I didn't realize I paid $12.52 for a cup that is 3/4 full. This is normally never an issue as they always give a reasonable amount, but I don't know what's wrong with the staff making the drinks today. Personally, I feel like I'm being overcharged at this point.
