I called to make an appt for a new "full set" as my nails were getting brittle and were breaking which is normal when they become old. When I sat down for Kelly to do my nails I had stated that I was there for a new full set. She aggressively started removing my old nails with a plastic nail tip going under and between my own nails and the acrylic. She caused me pain on 3 of my nails as I had said "ouch that hurts" while she aggressively removed them as if she was mad that I was asking for a new set. She "did not once apologize" for the pain she caused me. When she was done ripping my old nails off she removed herself from her chair went and got the color swatches and placed them in front of me then went up to the front desk and was taking to her boyfriend in her dialect. She then came back and stood over me. When I looked up she was glaring at me. I then quietly and nicely asked her if she was having a bad day? She said with a very rude tone in her voice "NO!!" then she said "I don't have to do your nails!!" She then walked away and took her smock off talking in her dialect" and made me feel as if I just needed to leave. So I left. When I got out to my car my right thumb started bleeding. She had ripped the acrylic nail off so aggressively that it had taken part of my real nail off which left a hole where the blood was coming out of. I will NEVER go back there and I will NEVER suggest Kelly at Princess nails. I will DEFINATELY warn people about how I was treated there at PRINCESS nails. Was treated more like a pos. A good word travels fast, a bad word travels even faster. This place is not even worthy of one star for how I was treated today. read more

Solar nails started peeling after 2 days!!! My time here last Saturday started out a little rocky as they weren't really listening to what I wanted done to my nails (black tipped solar nails & my ring fingers black sparkly tips). He kept trying to get me to do acrylic because "it was easier". After that he seemed like he was doing a pretty good job, was just being rude most of the time he was doing my nails. They turned out pretty at the end so I paid the $45 and left. Two days later my nails were already peeling up! They look awful now & I want them to just refund my money because I feel if they just "fix" them the same thing will happen again. Just an overall bad experience! read more

I give this place 2 stars. I've tried it a few times thinking every time would be different from the last but it's just how this place is. When you walk in you're greeted by a nice man who asks you what you want but everyone else is sitting in the back the the salon and it almost seems like they fight over who has to be the one to help you. That takes about 3 minutes, then once you're sat they just seem annoyed at you for being there and they they have to help you. Not to mention every time they have made me bleed from their tools and my nails are always unevenly shaped and clumpy. It's especially awkward when they are speaking to the other people and they all laugh and come over and look at you. I mean I don't know what they are saying but it sure doesn't make you feel invited. I give this place 2 stars only because of the nice man in the front. They had a special for the deluxe pedicure ($25) so I went for it. With the deluxe I got a hot stone message on my legs and feet, it felt amazing. I have gone here for for pedicures and eye brow waxing and I was horrible disappointed the 2 times I went! pedicures - polish didn't last more than 1 week and just didn't look good. Polish was bubbles and not even. eyebrow waxing - Wax is way too HOT! Both times I went here to have brows waxed while my boys were next door at the Sports Clips - the wax was way too hot - felt like it burned my skin. When I told them - I was told that it needed to be that hot. Let's just say I walked away with more than redness of the skin, the first time I went here I had 2 blisters. I went back again to try but 2nd time still too hot - no blisters just redness that last for 2 days - way more than normal!! read more

Pros: nice staff, speedy service, very clean, great atmosphere, and my toes look great. Lost two stars for being really rushed. They are busy on the weekend but the five dollar upgrade to the deluxe pedi should come with more than a 15 second hot stone massage. The rough is not off my heels. I happened past this nail spa when my hubby and I were at Sonic for our afternoon treats. I was overdue for our first baby, and feeling rather miserable. I spotted the salon next door to Sonic and I decided on the spur of the moment to get my toes done. I walked in and was greeted cheerfully, got a wondeful massage, sea salt scrub, hot towels, heel conditioning, and cute polish. It cost $25. The staff were friendly and the facility was all brand new and top-notch. The massage chair was especially great. I was never rushed and my swollen feet looked great when my baby arrived a few days later! I would recommend this nail spa to any friend. read more

Customer service here is greatly disappointing. Never go here. My friend and I got our nails done here less than 24 hours ago where they managed to mess up the painting of her nails and 2 of my acrylics fell off LESS than 24 hours of them getting done here. We came back the following day where we told them they needed to be fixed when they told us to sit down and we waited for 40 minutes while this entire time we had no idea how long we were gonna wait for as no one told us. Finally after 40 minutes we asked how much longer the wait was and they informed us we'd have to wait ANOTHER 30 minutes before we'd finally get help for fixing the nails THEY messed up. Some of the staff are just dismissive and rude and it makes your whole appointment unsatisfying and their work doesn't even remotely make it worth enduring the negative atmosphere. read more

I did not like this place and will not come back. My pedicure and manicure were painful, both done by the same girl, then because I was saying "ouch" (or I feel that's the reason), the girl got up mid manicure and had someone else continue the work. The girl who took over was much better at her job and nicer. Then at the end, the owner took over to finish painting my shellac on. So 3 people to complete the process. It seems the girls are timed and watched here and they are not personable or take their time. Which sucks because I was excited to go somewhere called Princess Nails and I did not feel like one =( I only gave 1 more star than 1 start because I did like their polish and shellac color selection and the second girl did a good job. read more

I personally have had an amazing experience I have requested crazy designs and they always follow through! Although I bring friends along to share the experience and they come out with bloody hang nails and a rough time. I always ask for the elderly man or his daughter for a good solar/acrylic. But for designs ask for the really tall lady that works there, by far the best. Never ever get the young man, he just doesnt understand the art in doing nails. Pedicures are also something they need to work on, it needs to be lengthy not short and sweet to the point, and they cut my toenails a little too short for my liking but they are so worth going there for acrylics and nails in general. read more

The nail people are in such a rush to get off work they don't pay attention to the quality of work. My nails are lumpy and crooked, the polish is not even or smooth! I called to complain to the manager to ask him to fix the horrible job the staff did. He said, "he doesn't need the business!" Well since that's true.... everyone needs to know that he doesn't need business, so DON'T go there! Visiting from Seattle, needed a last minute gel manicure. Drove by and found this place. I didn't have an appointment so I waited about 25 minutes to get a seat. My cuticles were trash prior to the manicure and my guy cleaned them up so well! Impressive. Plus he asked if I liked the color after the first coat before putting it in the light, nice of him to check. Filed my nails evenly and shaped them well. I got this manicure 2 weeks ago and the gel is still perfect and no peeling. $25 for the gel manicure, fair price. Very happy with the service and results! read more

I know I can be difficult at times, however I was unhappy with my nails and I called the next day and I talked to the owner, he told me that there was no problem he would fix any issue and made an appointment for me right away to come in. So I went in later that day, he listened to my issues, and then fixed them all and then even offered a design on top of it! Very awesome and holds to their word! I came here on travel, staying with my in-laws, for my second wedding reception as the bride. I wanted to get a gorgeous french acrylic manicure with a delicate pink to white gradient "ombre", which had never been attempted before. Though the nail technician didn't have the "spray paint" tool to achieve the look, initially, she cleverly used a repetitive and labor-intensive sponge and dip method to achieve the spray painted gradient I wanted. UPDATE : wow based on your response it just solidified how bad your customer service is. I paid my bill, and will NEVER come back. I'm sure you don't really care. It shows. I have been here twice now and have had some sort of issue both times. The first time I had a guy do a full set with white tips. Easy enough. The nails turned out great but there was a giant gap between my real finger nail and the nail tip on both my thumbs which was honestly horrible because everything and anything got stuck in there. I went back for a fill at two weeks but this time I brought my daughter for some polish along with me , she's 7. The separated us immediately putting her on the complete opposite side of the salon while I got a pedicure. And through out out whole visit I was seated in areas where she couldn't comfortably sit next to me so I had to watch her from afar and just cross my fingers that she would be ok -which she was but it wasn't very accommodating (and we made an apt) after my pedicure I was being instructed to move to a chair for a fill and she didn't move the bucket of tools out of the way and I kicked it and messed up my polish. (The bucket was small and the same color as the ground) when I told her what happened she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and just proceeded to put away the nail color and ignore me. Some one else did my fill after waiting in the chair for 15 minutes + the nails are ok honestly but not even half as cute as last time because she just shaped them how she wanted not how I asked. I was then Charged for a solar fill not a normal fill - but of course I didn't realize until after they ran my card. Because I have had issues now both times going in- and the fact that they made it hard on me as a mom trying to do something fun with my little girl, I won't go back. I'm looking for a new salon for the next fill. (Which I'm sad about honestly) read more

I have been to this place before had one of the guys do my nails and they turned out amazing, this is a place I would always recommend to everyone! but this lady she clearly did not know what she was doing. When I told her what I wanted she was very snarky about it, it took her 2 hours to do a fill. I then asked her to shape them very square she kept rounding them so then anothEr lady came over and fixed shape. They looked better at this point then she starts filing them again and then starts using the tool and nicks my finger like 4 times after I told her "ow that hurts".....she still kept doing that my finger at this point was bloody. Finally came the polish I was very excited to get my nails done for Valentine's Day, but I had polish all over my fingers after she finished I asked her to clean it up a little bit and began talking to her friend next to her and was very rude. read more

Nail techs open mouthed hacking on unsterile equipment...not washing between customers...used files boards...nail debris scattered on work stations, the floor.. You get the picture. They are the friendliest nail salon I have been too yet and give a fabulous foot and leg massage as part of the basic pedicure that is 3x longer than every other place in Portland. They did an overall great job with the pedicure and their rates are average. The basic pedi included a soak, salt scrub, long massage with lotions and oils and polish and costs $30.
