Called the top 5 printers in the Woodbury Irvine area and John was the first person to answer his telephone! It was half past one o' clock and I told him that I needed 20 greeting cards printed out. It was almost two forty-five when he called back to notify me that my order was complete. I was at Wal-Mart picking out 5x7 egg shell envelops and learned that they were right across the street, off Technology! My project saved me so much time, that I was able to drop these off at the local United States Postal Service office, and be ready for happy hour at The Counter. John and Christine are great people! I've been going to Printworks for a year now and I've never been disappointed :) I travel and work a lot so most of the time I need a lot of printing done in a short amount of time. I usually time it so that I can give John a few days to do my printing but if you need something done by the next day, they will get it done. The pricing is also very reasonable and affordable, especially if you're still an amateur artist taking baby steps into the professional world. I once wanted to test out a banner I made which was nine feet long. It was a very unorthodox shape and length so I knew most printing places would refuse unless I sized it a certain way. Or it would be an unbelievable price. John took one look at it and listened to my meager explanation and told me "We can do that" ..and he did! At a very reasonable price too. I'm still very pleased and happy with my banner. Printworks has a variety of products that can be printed and I really want to try making new things with them. Like large canvas posters or stickers. If you have a specific project in mind, I have confidence that they will help you get your project done, with quality work and friendly customer service. The worst customer service I have ever received from any provider anywhere in my 25 years of doing business. I recently started a new business and needed business cards developed and printed utilizing a new logo I had previously developed. My first encounter/job with Printworks was good: Quality output and a good price. My second job was fraught with poor responsiveness and a terrible output. The business cards were printed on the wrong paper and with poor quality print. At the store, I expressed my dissatisfaction and the owner got really pushy with me. Finally he agreed to redo them per the original spec. A week later I had still not heard back from them however, I received an invoice for the full set of business cards for all my employees. When I called printworks, the owner called me a "Butthead", and said I needed to pay in advance. I mean, who calls a customer "Butthead"? Even after that, I told him I'd be happy to pay once the job was completed. He eventually did do the job and I paid him. What A tremendous amount of unnecessary aggravation. I would not recommend them. I would encourage people to go to SirSpeedy, where I have gotten such quality service. SirSpeedy is a bit more expensive, but they do excellent work and the service is absolutely outstanding. read more
