I went to Priority Auto when my check engine light came on. I had gone to Autozone and did a free diagnostic reading, showing me that I likely needed a new sensor. I had never been to Priority Auto before, but I was turned off from my previous mechanic's prices. So, I gave Priority Auto a call. They were able to take my car the next day. Took a few hours and then they confirmed it was a worn out sensor, just as I had expected. I was able to get my car later that evening. However, upon getting my car, the check engine light came back on. I was befuddled after just paying $300 to fix this. At that point, I spoke with Allan, the Owner of Priority Auto. He told me it could have been a faulty after-market sensor they put in, and that his team had made a mistake to not put in a Volkswagen-specific sensor (which would have been much more expensive). He further told me that he would eat the cost of the new sensor, since his team had made the mistake. I was unhappy with the inconvenience to come back, but at least this would be fixed the next day. When I came back, Allan dealt with my car personally. To my surprise, he told me my car had no oil in it. Having no oil had caused one of my sensors to burn out, and it also killed the new sensor they had put in the day before. So, Allan went ahead and put fresh synthetic oil in my car, along with the Volkswagen-specific sensor, straight from a VW dealership. The higher priced sensor AND oil were both free of charge, courtesy of Allan and his team at Priority Auto. It was an extremely nice gesture, and it showed Allan truly cares about his customers. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! Requested an oil change & tire rotation. Be cautious because Allen always find something to hit you up with for an upsell. Drove the car back to my home (1/2 mile away), and then the next morning I embarked on a trip to Pennsylvania. In southern Connecticut, I damn near lost my front right wheel and tire. Took it to a Midas (only shop open at 7am in the morning). They were booked up and couldn't look at my car right away. Had to leave the car and rent a car. Came back a few days later and learned that two lug nut bolts had unscrewed and came off. The knucklehead had not tightened two of the lug nuts! When I confronted Allen with the expense for the rental car he took zero responsibility. And, he NEVER offered up an excuse or apology. So then I sued him in small claims court. He ignored the suit so I got a default judgment. Then, I offered him a settlement prior to enforcing the judgment. He ignored the offer. So, now that he has proven to be incompetent, I'm enforcing the judgment, and will take every opportunity on public forums to throw his business under the bus (so to speak). Allan is as good as it gets from basic vehicle maintenance up to installing after market parts to your vehicle. I've been working with him for years, he has driven to my location in MA multiple times to help me and my family out. He helped us take apart a large wooden swing set and store/transport it out of town using his own trailer. He installed a full 6" lift kit on my husband truck after work hours, which took two days to complete. He has given my vehicle multiple oil changes at my convenience, I can go on. Will Advocate for you and military friendly! Quick and professional response, they will take good care of you! I had a waterleak due to a bad windshield replacement install. Allan came during off business hours to meet me to accommodate my training schedule. He quickly diagnosed the car and advocated for me with my insurance company. Although priority auto offers 15% discount for military, I didn't need it because he got the insurance company to cover the entire cost!!! These guys do a GREAT job, seriously. I had noticed on Thursday night that my driver's side headlight was out. I had planned on replacing it myself, but on Friday morning I ran into a Priority Auto employee at the Post Office where I work. I asked him if he could fix it and he said he would text the office to see if I they had the lamp in stock. less than a half hour later, he was back for my key so he could replace the bulb. Impeccable service! A friend referred me to Allan for a car inspection that I needed done immediately. This is the best place ever!!! Everyone that works here are Angels , they took me in on a Friday afternoon with zero brakes that supposedly had been completely replaced for $1400. Down the street 8 months prior. Al fixed more than just my brakes for half of the price that the guy charged 2 blocks away..which obviously he did not fix anything as Al told me it was all factory parts still. My experience here was awesome. I needed brakes done and after looking around they were one of the cheapest. While working on my car they found some issues with my brakes. They took the extra time to fix them and didn't charge me! I am so thankful for them! What also made them even more better is that they offer a ride if needed.
