I showed some pictures of what I wanted and the hairdresser Sara said that she could do that. During the wash, they put conditioner all over my scalp but didn't rinse it out properly. When my hair dried, it felt greasy, and I ended up with dandruff, which I didn't have before. When it came to the bangs, I said I wanted them to reach my eyebrows. Instead of cutting them curly, she stretched the curls and cut at that length, which made them shrink way too short. Now they don't look like bangs at all. The haircut overall feels uneven, and I've had to braid or pin my hair just to feel okay going out. What's frustrating is that my friend also got a haircut here (with a different stylist), and hers came out amazing, which is why I came in the first place. I have attached a picture of what I wanted and what I ended up getting so you can see the comparison. I paid $80 dollars for this haircut and thinking back I shouldn't have paid anything.

I paid what I was told I would. No one tried to sell me products, though I did buy a couple things I needed. Hannah greeted me, went over price again, and talked through everything in detail. She was realistic about some aspects with my hair color, made sure I knew exactly what she was doing next, and brought me water and snacks! Oh my, and the shampoo and condition! It was pure bliss for probably 15 minutes in a quiet room with great chairs. Hannah was able to bring my vision to life and make it work for me. I'm beyond thrilled. I get compliments daily. Recently, he returned and booked with a different stylist, unaware that each stylist sets their own rates. He received one phone call (which he missed) and one text message simply stating they wanted to confirm he booked with a different stylist. At no point in that text -- or before services were performed -- were the "senior stylist" prices disclosed. He only learned of the significantly higher rate after the haircut was completed. That is unacceptable. Transparent pricing should be clearly communicated before services are rendered. What made the situation worse was the unprofessional handling of the issue. From Rosa at the front desk, to Anthony who took over the call, to Felicia the owner -- the communication was rude, dismissive, and inconsistent. I was even falsely accused of using a derogatory slur toward an employee, which absolutely never happened. Instead of taking accountability for poor communication and lack of price transparency, they deflected and made baseless accusations. My son is an unemployed college student and was never properly informed of the drastic price difference. Customers should not be surprised with inflated charges after services are complete. Transparency and professionalism were clearly not a priority here.

Because of that, I returned five weeks later, trusting I would get a similar result. Unfortunately, this visit went from okay to terrible. Not only was my hair cut far shorter than I wanted, but the color turned into a blonde-grey shade that aged me at least ten years. The inspiration photo I brought looked nothing like the result I received. I also felt I was led to believe that having shorter hair would make the service less expensive. Instead, my bill was actually more, which added to my disappointment. I was so embarrassed that I went home, bought hair dye, and covered it myself the same day. I left feeling upset, disappointed, and honestly shocked at how different the outcome was from what I requested. This isn't my first time having my hair done by Sherry as we have followed her as she has jumped around between several salons over the last few years, but it will be the last for me, my mother and my daughter, husband and any others I would have mentioned this salon to. Please see attached image of the result from my visit this week. Absolutely nothing close to what I've wanted or ever had done. Pretty frustrating as we all know how it feels to have something go wrong with our hair as it is such a big part of our looks. But I also know that accidents and mistakes happen. But let me also include the fact that mid appointment I was told my price had increased by 30% since the last time. Not at the time of booking. Not before the first snip of scissors. Half way through the appointment so I was trapped into paying the higher price which I had not prepared for. 30% is a huge increase to drop on someone. After this visit, and once I got home and was able to truly see my hair, I reached out to have my hair fixed as it seems fair that given the $140 charge, we could work something out as I was truly disappointed with my hair. I was able to go in the following day, even thought Sherry was not happy with me. Upon arriving, it was very clear I was there just to have a simple and quick fix by applying a simple gloss over the tops of my blonde streaks, in which it will still fade into an uneven color which I will then have to be spending more money to fix again sooner than I should have to. After leaving and assuming that we are both adults, and what I thought was a good client and friend, we could just let this be and move forward with no hard feelings (all of which should have been on my end anyway), 2 days pass and I get a text that I am being dropped as a client. That I am no longer going to be able to have my haircut by the lady who has worked on my family for years and that I followed and supported from salon to salon. I can say with confidence that this was the last visit by me or any of my family as I won't support a salon that stands behind this kind of treatment towards their paying clients. As a business owner myself, clients always come first as they pay me for a service and have expectations of fair business and communication. I feel like not only did I not come first and communication was non existent, I was also treated as I did something wrong by wanting my color fixed. There are a lot of hard working people and business's out there these days that appreciate and are grateful for work, and especially dedicated clientele. Unfortunately for this salon it won't be with anyone working there moving forward. There is simply no room for overpriced, subpar services and attitudes these days.

Often times I feel like you're rushed and people don't ask for a lot of clarification however, Marissa was an absolute fantastic communicator and asked me all sorts of questions about what I was looking for. She was so detailed and meticulous I felt like she was really trying to see my vision in order to give me the best experience. Often times I don't feel like I even understand what I'm trying to convey and she was so helpful with walking me through the different steps, making sure I knew what I was asking for and how it would turn out compared to my reference pictures. I'm not one to spend a lot on my hair but I saved up specifically for this treatment and Marissa absolutely crushed it! I'd say my money was so well spent and if I permanently lived here she would definitely be my go to. She also has such a warm presence and is so fun to chat with, it made the appointment go by sooooo fast! I'd also like to add that the salon is so cute and has a nice view as it's on the second story of the building. I felt so fancy sitting up there with the big windows and they even made me a coffee.
