I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely frustrating. When I first arrived, I was very impressed with the staff. The first employee I met was friendly, professional, and helpful. My service advisor, Marvin, was also pleasant during check-in, and I initially planned to leave a positive review. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill because of the lack of communication. I provided my correct phone number and expected to receive updates about my car throughout the day. Instead, I spent the entire day waiting without receiving a single call or text. I repeatedly called the dealership trying to get a status update and was continually routed to voicemail. At one point, I finally reached someone who assured me they would not put me on hold and that they would get an update for me. Instead, I was left on hold for over 30 minutes and then transferred to someone else's voicemail. By this point, I had spent hours trying to get a simple update. When I called again, I was finally told that Marvin had already left for the day without ever contacting me. I was shocked and frustrated. I had dropped off my car in the morning and spent the entire day waiting for information, only to find out near the end of the business day that my advisor had already gone home. After expressing my frustration, I was told that I could come pick up my car, which I did around 6:15 PM. What makes this especially disappointing is that the entire situation could have been avoided with a simple phone call or text message. Had someone taken a few seconds to update me using the phone number I provided, I would not have spent nearly three hours making calls, sitting on hold, being transferred, and trying to track down basic information about my car. I understand that service departments are busy, and I respect the hard work that goes into servicing customers. However, communication is a critical part of customer service, and on this visit it was completely lacking. It felt like they didn't care that I was even there. When I mentioned I had an appointment, the response was cold and rushed. What really bothered me was the lack of communication about pricing. They didn't explain anything upfront, and unless you specifically ask, they just keep quiet about it. That's not how customer service should work. My experience with Priority Toyota of Springfield was one of the most stressful and completely unprofessional car purchases I've ever dealt with. * I bought a 2023 Dodge Charger R/T on August 14, 2025, for nearly $39,000. * The car failed Maryland state inspection just two days later for: * missing mufflers (illegal under Virginia law) * illegal window tint * a cracked windshield * The dealership sold the car without disclosing the missing mufflers, which is a violation of Virginia Code §46.2-1047. * When I went back, they denied responsibility and argued with me before reluctantly agreeing to fix the mufflers and remove the tint -- but they refused to fix the windshield. * I had to call, email, and even drive back multiple times because they wouldn't return my messages or answer the phone. * Brandon Bentley in finance never sent my loan paperwork to any lenders, which caused my entire deal to fall through. * I later found out that Brandon used month-old paperwork to get this so-called "approval," which he wasn't allowed to do, and Chase Bank confirmed they wouldn't have accepted it anyway. * He never ran my credit the day of purchase, nor for the three weeks after, while I had the car just sitting in my driveway waiting for answers. * When I finally spoke with Donell, the used car director, he was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. * I called Chase Bank, and they had no record of me or my co-signer -- meaning my financing was never processed at all. * I had to reach out to Lithia Motors, the company that owns Priority Toyota, to get any kind of response or action taken. * I also had to file complaints with both the Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board and the Attorney General's Office because of how poorly this was handled and how many laws were ignored. * I even had to drive back to the dealership two separate times just to get my check for the money they owed me. One staff member told me to come in person, but when I got there, the finance lady was rude and said, "I don't know who told you that, we don't even have it." After standing there for almost 30 minutes while the front desk lady sat chatting with the finance lady, Aaron, the general manager, stepped in. He was the only one who actually helped -- he pushed finance to release my check, which had been upstairs the whole time. The only positive was Aaron. He was the only professional person in the entire process -- respectful, responsive, and genuinely willing to fix what others had caused. Bottom line: Out-of-state drivers and anyone financing through this dealership should be extremely cautious. Two hours passed with no update, so I waited another 45 minutes--still nothing. I went back to ask, and was told they weren't sure if the issue was the camera or wiring and might need to swap cameras to diagnose it. Then I was given two options: leave my car or come back another time. I couldn't leave it today, so I chose to return later. He said it would be 10 minutes to bring my car out--it ended up taking 30. I recently purchased a vehicle here and was very disappointed with the process. The dealership ran a hard credit inquiry without my authorization, even though I confirmed with them twice verbally that it would not be done. I also never signed any credit authorization form. Running a credit report without verbal or written permission is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Only after I confronted them did they offer $500 off the price. That discount didn't feel like true compensation, because they claimed $2,500 in reconditioning costs left them with "no margin" to negotiate further. In reality, the service performed was just a cabin filter, an oil change, and four new tires with alignment -- nowhere near $2,500 in value. The car itself was fine, but between the unauthorized credit pull and the misleading reconditioning claims, I cannot recommend this dealership. read more

The last time I came in was the worst experience, and will be my final time. Every service advisor I ask what is the cost of each item, and then what total will be because the budget is tight. This time, I was read the expenses of everything and then we confirmed the total amount of $292. Then Simon Lumpkin asked if I wanted to upgrade the "total" amount to $320 with taxes being around $360 to have a plan to do oil changes done in the future. Again I confirmed before I left that the total amount would be the $360 something. When I came back Simon handed me the bill and it was $700+! I asked why my bill was over $400 more than we'd had talked about. He started denying everything saying that's not what we'd talked about, saying he explicitly said the total would be $750 (or whatever that number was). I would promise you if that number was over $500 I wouldn't have done it because of the budget. After a while I asked if I could talk to a manager and Simon said he was the manager. This may be true, but on the website it says no such thing, which raises more concern of being gaslit the entire time. I am left as a customer very disappointed and frustrated. read more

Lackluster experience. Not a fan of this Springfield Priority dealership for 3 visits now (I'm a slow learner), under previous ownership group or new owners. Always an issue with them, forgetting to check on issues I mentioned at drop-off, resulting in more delay as they go back yet again to check on my request originally to look at. Often vehicle is ready for pickup and I get no notification, so vehicle sits for days UNTIL I CALL or text. Speaking of text the system seems flawed, they don't necessarily get them properly, per a Priority employee, I asked beaause on a call he was asking me about info answered in a text, a text he didn't see. Employees told me about new higher service rates and lack of employee appreciation events with the new management. Just this month I dropped off an old Avalon and told service representative I'm considering taking them up on their offer of no vehicle repair fees (special) if I trade vehicle in, did I get a call or text regarding this, NOPE. I had to prod them to give me a purchase offer on the old Avalon. I suspect no established handoff method between service and sales department. Offer employees incentive! Lastly during service I often wander around looking at showroom vehicles and used vehicles on the lot, it is a LONELY walk, no salesperson bothers to get out of their chair to inquiry if I would like to purchase a vehicle! Yet they are busy at Priority Toyota in Springfield I got to say! Good for them. I just don't feel like I'm the priority with them. Lastly Priority asked me how they did after the job, I gave them a low rating and they said they would CALL ME, did I get a call, nope. FAKE giving a damn by Priority. Two charges I did not request something for my AC, which was an extra $117.00 which I should have looked closely at my receipt before I left. They suggested other repairs that would have added another $1800, to my bill which I refused. Told me my vehicle was parked out front when it was done. I'm walking around outside in the heat with my cane(mind you I told the tech about my hip replacement surgery) looking for my vehicle and it hadn't even been pulled out yet. Was told the wait would be approximately 2 hours, came out after about an hour and a half and said it would be done "soon" and was another hour and a half! i called when I arrived home and I was cred for the AC kit charge, so I will give them that! If it was not for the location, I'd be going some where else probably. Just went in for simple service which ended up over complicated again. The mechanic video they sent was not clear to me cause the video settings are defaulted to mute and I also found out later it uses the other speaker on iPhone, last time I was using headphones but I didn't bring it this time. So instead of trying to fumble around with the video site options. I went over to service rep to ask clarification, he seemed to not answer my question directly whether the inspections passed or not and so I just said to do whatever to pass inspection. He then got me to approve service for brakes cause he says it is safer which after sitting back down I tried to navigate that annoying site again but it's better than nothing I guess, but I noticed it's just a recommended service. I was kind of on the clock so kind of annoying to wait, but I didn't want them to stop working if they already started either since it was already approved. And while I'm lucky enough to afford the cost and think "well at least it's safer. ". It was very uncool, and I don't think a lot of other people would appreciate it. I get a sense of pressure to make a higher sale at that place that I don't like. Proper response should have been just a simple "you passed the inspections, but this is what we recommend (fill in the blank)." Also the video site needs to be better optimized for mobile or something. The text of services recommended was too buried and the video was hard to navigate for sound without headphones. I think I'm gonna try a different place next maintenance time, personally. While I don't think the work is terrible, I am getting the feeling there is too much pressure for sales and miscommunication at the place about sales and so it just feels off for me personally. Cause this is twice now that I dont feel good after dealing with priority. They check the bare minimum for a pass and sells the vehicle "As is" to avoid repairing any issues found by the real inspectors. Don't trust their inspectors and take the vehicle on a test drive to a MD inspection station if you think there's no other dealer or car available for you in the area Update: we took the vehicle to a Toyota dealership in MD to inspect and they found the same issue Priority Toyota neglected to fix. My experience with Priority Toyota Springfield was mixed until about a year or two ago. First, when I purchased my 2019 Camry, I could never get anyone to show me the tutorial of the "bells & whistles" my car has. The car wasn't used much due to the COVID shutdown. But, during the time, my sunroof broke. Toyota fixed it, and it broke again during the warranty period. Unfortunately, I reported it just after due to health and care taking issues in my household. I was given the option to pay half and Priority would cover the other half. Once I got the funds I went in for service and Priority has now changed owners/management. I've been back several times in the past year and can't get in touch with the manager Fabio to even discuss my options now. Update 14 August 2023: I continue to be a customer of Priority Toyota's Service Department because they have always treated me well. My truck is now in the high mileage category and at 11 years of age under my ownership, starting to require some maintenance beyond standard oil/fluid/tire rotations. I never have an issue acquiring adequate explanations of the maintenance recommendations as well as risk assessments to assist in my decision making. I've had several service reps over the years, and my current rep, Nadir is awesome. He communicates well, with timely important updates and answers all my questions. He also looks for ways to keep costs reasonable. Trust can be hard to come by in a dealership setting, but I'm probably as close as I have ever been right now. I purchased a 2020 Toyota Rav-4 from Priority Toyota Springfield on Saturday, August 23rd. When I first arrived to the dealership, I was greeted by a salesman by the name of Will. Will got my information and ran my credit report. Since it was not very strong, he showed me only 1 option of a vehicle that I could purchase. I asked him if there were any other cars that I could choose from, he told me no. So I went outside to leave. While waiting outside, another salesman approached me by the name of Peter. Peter helped me with purchasing the Rav-4 but it was all a scam. After leaving the dealership on that Saturday, I was pleased with the outcome. On Friday, August 29th I went out of town for the holiday weekend. While out of town, my brakes began grinding and screeching. I emailed Peter (my once beloved salesman) to let him know that the car was having some issues with the brakes. I never received a response from him. I took the vehicle back to the dealership on Tuesday, September 2nd to have the dealership fix the problem. I spoke with the service manager and he told me that since I purchased the car "As Is" that I would be responsible for the repairs. Confused, I asked him why couldn't the dealership make the repairs since I just purchased the car less than one week ago. Obviously the brakes were not in great condition when I purchased the car. He told me that they do not have to sell used cars with new brakes, they just have to be able to pass inspection. I asked him if there was anything that could be done because it was very odd to have to make repairs on a car that I purchased less than one week prior, and clearly the brakes could not have gone from being able to pass inspection to now not being able to pass after only one week. He told me that he could offer to pay 50% of the repairs and I cover the other 50%. At this point, I was trying to return the car altogether and void the deal. He told me that it was too late, since all the paperwork had been filed and all of the taxes and tags had been handled. In summary, DO NOT EVER purchase or give any money to this shady and unethical dealership. They do not care about their customers and they will try to get over on you if you are not vigilant. Bought our Toyota highlander hybrid here in 2017 and got the priorities for life service plan which includes free oil changes and tire rotation as long as you own the vehicle and bring it there for service. Sales experience was very good as I remember but service is another matter. You really need to pay attention or they will rip you off. For example, they charge at least twice for tires what Costco or other tire places charge, and yesterday they told me the car needed a tune up for $1500. I called my local mechanic and he found that they had already done this service at 60k and it wasn't due until 120k. What was worse though is that the tune up should not have cost more than $500 NOT $1500! My wife also had to get a loaner car from them when she brought the car in for service last year and they tried to make her pay for a full refill for gas even though she had hardly used any and had topped it off.
