What if people actually read it and flood the place i just declared my new spot? I didn't eat. I was looking for a space with room to sit outside with my (very large) dog and enjoy a drink. Golden Outpost had live music that didn't disappoint and matched the foothills and golf course view. Much to my surprise my dog was allowed in while I ordered and told he was fine anywhere! THE Most dog friendly place of all the Golden spots I've been. I saw plenty of food come out of the truck and while I didn't eat, it all looked very appetizing. Everyone I met was friendly and engaging from the "bar keeper", to fellow patrons and kids filling sodas and bussing tables. Shhhh I highly recommend!

I have a unique perspective as I have attended for the las t2 years as a guest and this year as a staff member working with them. Linda and her husband who are the owners are some of the kindest most generous people to work. They are incredibly flexible and good hearted. The venue is beautiful. The first time we went I was a little thrown off because it's not a "beautiful" area in the middle of all the buildings. Yet, somehow, there in the middle of the concrete jungle not far from the fed center, they have created this spectacular escape that makes you feel far from it all. I don't know if the spectacular, almost European felling stone interior, the stunning chandeliers and fireplace or the little pond with the water fountain, but it makes you feel as if you are far from the rest of the world. The staff is spectacular, Ashley and Kathryn helped us develop our signature drink and mixed away like Tom Cruise in cocktail as I dipped away on about 7 different drinks that they created from my " we'd like to do something maybe like a Manhattan with apple spice" description of what we wanted. They brought us pans and mirrors that we could sue for elevation for our silent auction, they had chalk markers for signs. As they started putting the table cloths that we had picked initially and I abruptly stopped them and they upped out another option and checked to assure that we had enough for tables. Wow, they bent over backwards and really had a "we are here for you" attitude. Also, THE FOOD!! I had a fried chicken with polenta and spiced apples, we also had a pork chop as an option and a butternut squash vegetarian option YUMMY! I only ate half, and then kept trying to shove it down, because it was so good! Shout out to Tabitha who was also there to help with any needs that aired and I think it was Amanda, the sous chef that helped the day of setup. Also, one of the bar tenders whose name I didn't catch rocked it- our second bar wasn't set up, so I asked him and he got to work "full bar or wine and beer" within 30 seconds he was moving tables and bottles an probably 4 minutes later, they were set up!! The large white tent that was in the corner of the yard has been moved and now food trucks can park in that corner. They have a rotation of food providers so it's no longer just slices of pizza. The sand pit kid's play area has been replaced with grass and more seating. Children are still welcome, but they now have to play on grass. Better seating arrangements, more quality food choices, it's $5 more to get in, but still the same great entertainment and vibe!

The complimentary breakfast was also a highlight, with a nice spread of options that made it easy to start the day off right. My only suggestion would be to add carpeting in the guest rooms. We could hear footsteps and loud thumping from the room above us throughout the night, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. We catered in our own food and served dinner to a group of 25 people. I cannot express how pleased I was/am with the Arvada Community Room. It was everything we needed and the cost was more than fair. The owners were amazing to work with, and they were easily accessible for communication. IF I had to find anything negative to say it is not about the Arvada Community Room itself, but more the City of Arvada and it's small amount of public parking in the area that they have built as a heavy entertainment area. Most of the parking is street parking and a small public parking lot that is usually pretty full. There is a parking garage about a block away that is easily accessible though. Again that is not a a dig on the Arvada Community Room but rather frustration with the city for their lack of planning.

Breakfast is included and while it isn't *amazing,* the coffee is hot and you can make your own waffles -- all without leaving the hotel. The AC and heater work and have not been noisy during any of our trips. Mobile check-in and mobile keys mean that you don't have to talk to anyone on the way in (which is probably a plus for the staff since we're usually arriving pretty late and straight from a 12-14 hour drive). An interesting touch is that there is a QR code in the room that you can use to tip the staff. That way, you're not having to carry cash for tips or head to the front desk to break larger bills. There is a desk with a comfortable chair where I can work if I am doing that on a particular visit. There are a pair of elevators that are a little slow and can get congested when the hotel is full and it is peak checkout or breakfast time, but I think there are only 4 floors, so if you're in a hurry, taking the stairs is not a big problem when you're just popping down for food or otherwise not carrying luggage. As for the location, it is adjacent to the Colorado Mills mall and has pretty easy access to the highway. I think the parking is still free, though I have had my son drop me off the last couple of visits, so I am not 100% certain. If you're a Marriott loyalty member, you can get the "enhanced" (faster?) internet for free. That works well, but the "regular" free internet also works fine for us, especially if I am not having to take video calls for work. There are several power outlets in the room that are conveniently located near tables or other shelf-like surfaces. (No having to charge tour devices on the floor). I keep coming back here, so I must think it is at least "OK" :)

They greeted us immediately and gave us a map of the property. We had fun walking around and checking out the animals and historic buildings on site. Wow, my yesterday's visit to this historic park was so mesmerizing. It's because of their annual…read more(?) "Bright Nights" (originally a lantern festival.) It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.
