Julia is amazing! She and her husband came to clean my husband after the nightmare tenant left, who completely trashed my condo. She didn't show any contempt, and did the cleaning thoroughly as I was sorting out the trash, recycling and things that can be donated. She and her husband pointed out things to be replaces or fixed and her husband even replaced my trash disposal. Hired them to clean my house for a move-out. They were quite responsive while setting up the appointment. The cleaners arrived 20 minutes late. No text or call letting me know. They were both very nice so no issues there. They're cleaning service was average at best. There were scuff marks left on my walls and molding that I had hoped they would clean. They supposedly cleaned my house for over 4 hours but when I arrived back at my house, the fridge or freezer hadn't been cleaned. They did clean the windows and the bathroom was very clean. I did notice they didn't wipe down my drawers in the kitchen or shelving in the kitchen. They didn't even wipe down the outside of my fridge that had visible hand/finger marks. They only mopped the floors and didn't do a deep clean of the grout like I had asked. On top of that, they charged me $195 for a 2 bedroom/1 bath home that's less than 800 sq feet. ALSO, when I asked about the owner (listed as Julie) and how to pay, the cleaner said the owner's name is Sonia and she worked for Sonia's House Cleaning! Is this a fake account??? Very confusing. Julie charged $60/hr and did a terrible job. Every room I walked in looked like the job was 1/2 done. The floors in every room were the worst part - she doesn't move chairs and she doesn't clean the floor at the base of cabinets. At the rate she charges, I expected a lot more. Don't be fooled when you open your door, and see a tiny woman...armed with a vacuum, mop, and supplies. Julie's pricing is fair, and her attention to detail has never waivered. She does housekeeping for us on an every other-week basis. I hired Pristine Cleaning Service to clean my apartment earlier this month and I would say it was not worth the expense. I work two jobs and barely have time to do all my chores on my days off, so I thought I'd treat myself to having someone else come in and help with the tasks that I just can't seem to get to. Along with the usual cleaning, I let Julie know that the floors were particularly dirty and that I would also like the oven cleaned as well as a light fixture in the kitchen. On the day she was at my home she sent me a text message to let me know that she had accidentally broken the light fixture. She offered to "work it out through trade with the next cleaning". Honestly, I figured accidents happen and I wasn't that stressed about it... I wanted to see what she meant by "broken" and how good of a cleaning job she had done before I agreed to have her come back for a future cleaning job. When I got home that night, the first thing I noticed was that there were lumps of dirt and dust left all over the hardwood floors. It looked like she had swept in a hurry and didn't finish. The bathroom looked okay but, again, the floor looked like she wiped it quickly with a wet wipe. The kitchen floor still had spots - it looked like there was no effort to even clean it. The sink has some sort of discoloration now - I'm guessing from whatever she used to clean the oven. The oven was clean, but the corners were still gross. The light fixture was broken, but she had managed to put it back up - it's just missing some of the plastic on one side. Overall, I would call the job half-assed at best, and I ended up spending a good chunk of my weekend re-doing the job I paid Julie to do (I actually found more pieces of the light fixture as I was cleaning the floor). I was definitely disappointed. I feel like if you break something in someone's home you should make extra sure that the rest of the job is done excellently; and if you don't have time to do that, or it's beyond your capacity, you should at least give them a heads up. I would have been disappointed with the work even without the broken light fixture, but this just added insult to injury. read more
