I spent this past weekend at the Two Room Inn for my sister's wedding. The place is charming and conveniently located near in the center of historic downtown Nevada City. Its a short distance to the highway as well. We arrived late in the evening and there was so much going on. Broad street was buzzing with activity and everything is right at your doorstep. There are two reserved parking spots at the back of the house near the main entrance. At night (after 10, I'd say) there's plenty of street parking as well. The inn had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, blankets, pillows and towels. The kitchens were stocked with a wide variety of kitchen essentials. Upon arrival the place was pretty clean aside for some spider webs. There is a tv with DVR and Netflix which was VERY much appreciated. We were able to play some wedding themed movies while pampering and prepping for the big day! My only complaint is that there isn't enough lightening, especially downstairs. It can also get really cold because of all of the Windows downstairs. Bundle up and turn on a heater in the fall and winter months! Loved this place, I would definitely stay again. read more

I couldn't love this place any more if I tried! The house is absolutely beautiful with the best location in town. It's well appointed and just adorable. My daughter is convinced it's a magical gingerbread house, which speaks to its charm. The owner/proprietor, Marney is just lovely and fabulous to work with as well. We have family in town, but will continue to stay at Two Room for future visits. Can't wait until our next trip! read more

This is like a fairytale cottage Victorian style. Excellent location right in town. It can get a little noisy with the nightlife and after the Victorian Christmas festival. My daughters and I had a wonderful time exploring the town. My only regret is that there was not a working fireplace which I think is a shame since it adds such coziness in the winter months. Would have loved to have it going. The place was furnished perfectly for the era and with much thought. It is a little dark on the interior. Brighter lighting might help. read more

Beautifully decorated charming cottage on the main street of Nevada City. Lots of fun shops and restaurants to make this a really nice getaway destination. The home was unbelievable. Everywhere you look, you are surrounded by sumptuous appointments, stained glass you could stare at for hours, detailed woodwork from yesteryear. Cozy, clean, and very comfortable. The owner, Marney, is one of those owners who clearly care that you have a wonderful memory. We do, and plan to have many more at The Two Room Inn. read more

My wife and daughter stayed here this month while we were on our road trip and we absolutely loved the place. Zero complaints. Great location, great views, super roomy. Just all around great. My daughter calls it the gingerbread house. When we go back up we will definitely give this another try. read more

Two Roon Inn Vacation Rental is the best. I just loved the Victorian Cottage House it is so comfortable, the furniture are beautiful and the place is lovely and very cozy too. The house is locate right in the main street and from the master bedroom deck you can enjoy a great view from the city and the main street. The cleaning services was great everything was very clean and organized too. The Victorian Cottage is great to be with group of friends and can be very romantic too. I highly recommend this beautiful place for everyone. The owner of the place is a wonderful and very friendly too. She does all her best to accommodate our needs. read more

Hi Marney, TWO ROOM INN NEVADA CITY CA. I wanted to let you know how much my friends and I enjoyed staying at The Two Room Inn. It was nice and clean and so warm, cozy and enchanting. Every time I turned around I noticed a new print, photo, lovely painting or wall hanging. I loved the Mt. Tam print and the beautiful appliqué wall hanging someone made for you.Your attention to detail is amazing. All your colorful dishes and utensils were so festive. I loved your interior design, you have amazing taste. The drapes and other window treatments were beautiful, all your furniture was perfect for your beautiful and cozy house. . Your TV cabinet was very clever. Your CD collection was great. All in all we really enjoyed it as you can tell. Thank you for your recommendations on the many wonderful restaurants in Nevada City. We enjoyed delicious meals at Bistro 221 and Sopa Thai Cuisine. We also enjoyed preparing meals in your completely stocked kitchen. It was so nice being so close to the restaurants and shops. I hope we left it in satisfactory condition for your cleaning crew, we took out the garbage and did a couple loads of laundry. We look forward to returning again many times in the future. Went here for an early Christmas celebration. I can't say enough about this place. I love to take photographs and I spent a good portion of my stay admiring the house and taking pictures of all the wonder. There is amazing natural lighting everywhere and beautiful stained glass windows that project the light in the most magical way. The house is conveniently located on the main strip in Nevada City with so much to do and see. From the gorgeous stained glass windows to the quaint decor to the fiesta ware dishes and abundant kitchen amenities...this place is awesome. How can a place become better than awesome? It can have an awesome owner. And, Marney is just that. A pleasure to deal with. Kind, friendly and thee best customer service. Marney went above and beyond to make sure my best friend and her family had a wonderful visit there. A++++ all the way. My husband and I recently stayed at the inn and can't wait to go again. This little house is so charming and comfortable right on the main street in downtown Nevada City.
