Its a short distance to the highway as well. We arrived late in the evening and there was so much going on. Broad street was buzzing with activity and everything is right at your doorstep. There are two reserved parking spots at the back of the house near the main entrance. At night (after 10, I'd say) there's plenty of street parking as well. The inn had plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, blankets, pillows and towels. The kitchens were stocked with a wide variety of kitchen essentials. Upon arrival the place was pretty clean aside for some spider webs. There is a tv with DVR and Netflix which was VERY much appreciated. We were able to play some wedding themed movies while pampering and prepping for the big day! My only complaint is that there isn't enough lightening, especially downstairs. It can also get really cold because of all of the Windows downstairs. Bundle up and turn on a heater in the fall and winter months! Loved this place, I would definitely stay again.

As soon as my husband opened the door we could see how cute, clean and well decorated this cute little cottage was. So light, airy, warm, inviting and friendly color choices. We had a living room with a good sized TV, absolutely BEAUTIFUL bathroom, kitchenette area with everything you would need if you stayed for many nights even! I loved the tea options!! So many coffee, tea and hot chocolate options with everything we needed. The bedroom was so perfect! We literally loved everything about this place so much! Whoever helped decorate this place did such a fantastic job! I honestly loved everything...from the little things like the plugs with USB ports near the bed, the ceiling fans, solo wall/corner AC/heaters with remotes, WiFi, TV options, cute little hooks with 2 hangers on each...to the perfect bedding, comfy couch, vintage dresser and the cutest little 2 seated table. Enjoy your stay...much better than any fancy hotel we've stayed at in my opinion! Definitely fitting for this quick little getaway from the city!

Nice little details throughout the room, like small plants. The bed was super comfortable and clean. It was very quiet at night, good sleep! Check in and check out is easy with the box for keys. I did talk to a staff member briefly at check in and they were very friendly. Easy 8 min walk down the street into town to all the bars and restaurants, which is great! The only "issues" I can think of is that the tub didn't drain super well so water accumulates in the tub during a shower, and the small sink is too close to the shelf above it to wash your face. Everything else great, would stay here again!

We arrived before check in time and Andrea greeted us with a smile and offered to check us in early. I told her I have sleeping issues and could we be placed in a quiet area with a room. She said she knew the building with rooms 163-170. When we got to the room it was nice and warm, (a problem that we had at The Pines, a small space heater only because the wall unit wasn't working and no maintenance on the property.) We're old and there's good lighting for night time on the exterior. I left the party at 9 PM and stopped by the office for an extra blanket. The two women working were friendly and helpful. The bathroom had a new shower, glass doors and a rain shower head. I always bring my grey slippers for travel. The carpet was very clean and I was so pleased because I'm not used to that. I told my hubby, this is where we are staying in the future when we drive down to see the family.

When he started checking me in, I said what type of room I had reserved. He responded that he didn't know what rooms were available and this was at 4 PM. He said that they had been full the night before and were still cleaning. He asked somebody who barely spoke English to go check and when they came back, they said they had found a room. I went to the room and was appalled. It was dark and very small and did not look like the photos that were on the website advertising the hotel. Instead it looked outdated and there was no roll in shower as requested. The guy at the front counter did not seem to know what a rolling shower was. He seemed to think that a shower stall was a rolling shower and I tried to explain to him that it is an accessible shower big enough for a wheelchair to go in and he just didn't get it so he said they had no rooms like that and so I asked for a refund and I spent an hour there trying to get this all resolved. It was very upsetting. He had to call the manager on the phone. I asked some proof for cancellation and he wouldn't provide me with anything so I left worrying about getting a refund so then I spent a half an hour contacting the third-party company and also emailing the manager of the hotel to document everything as I was concerned I wouldn't get a refund. I am now waiting up to 30 days to get the money back.

The glamping tents here are special. I mean heated mattress pads, lights, plugs, and fans? Fantastic. There is even warm, welcoming area specific decor. Our bed has a charming headboard made from a door where the recessed panels are hand painted. We came with two adults and three children and had two glamping tents, which were a fantastic value compared to the fancy KOAs which have become very expensive. Bathroom, shower (including a lockable outdoor shower), kitchen, and pool facilities are immaculate. If you are looking for a super clean, super fun, well located place with all the amenities you could want, and you are able to be a respectful camper, this is your place. So nice to be able to sleep without the smell of cigarettes, loud music, cussing when you have kids trying to sleep. Thank you Inn Town for providing that place. Most peaceful camping experience I have had in years. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends! Also, there is a gorgeous meadow to hang out in and you can walk downtown easily, and there is a camp store with necessities and luxuries.

We knew it was an older building, but still didn't expect this kind of straight up narrow steps. When we called to make the reservation, we mentioned being seniors, so it would not be unreasonable to expect a heads up about the stairs. There were apparently other rooms in a different part of the house with a more accessible staircase. Otherwise, the room was fine and the breakfast was good. They offer nothing. Most offer wine and cheese for happy hour and interact with guests. The most basic offer sherry in a decanter with tasting crystal/glassware. These people are going through the motions. Completely lazy and zero customer service. As for breakfast, the lady yelled from the kitchen "everything alright?" She couldn't be bothered coming into the dining room and respectfully addressing her guests. We all looked at each other surprised. After her bellowing from the kitchen, she then again slammed the door! They are completely disinterested and could care less. The porch was filthy and cobwebs everywhere. You get to pay $200 a night for a room in disrepair. They do Nevada City a disservice. I'm pretty sure you can do better just about anywhere. We are seasoned travelers and it was still a quite shocking experience.
