My toes were fine. He cut my cuticle a little short and my toes were tender in the hot water for a second, but I thought little of it. Then he goes to do my finger nails, does them slow as all get out, and sloppily does my polish. My thumb, he put way too much polish on and in turn this took much much longer to cure, and when it did it was bubbly and flooding my cuticle, as pictured. I normally try to tip anyways even when i don't love my nails to try and be nice. This was one of the only times I have not left a tip at all. Everyone else I have had a good experience with.

For one mani/pedi the end result was average but resulted in quick chipping - even for my toes which are typically easy to maintain. My last visit was more awkward with me being greeted and asked to not sign in, but to maybe come back later. The option to wait wasn't offered and the suggested return time was a guess, not a confirmation of a time. After leaving I remembered that I'd seen this happened to others while I was in the chair getting my nails done. It has discouraged me from recommending this salon because I wouldn't want people to have the same experience. I'm updating my review while sitting at another salon. Will likely not return to Jeannie's.

It's close to work, it's totally affordable, its clean, and the staff is friendly! There were two technicians working, one lady was older than the other and I'm pretty sure she was the owner. My mom got her, and I got the other lady (sorry, I don't know her name ). My lady didn't talk much, which I like. I've always hated going to nail salons and making small talk. My technician was very thorough and clean. She paid very close attention to details. Compared to my last nail experience these were impeccable. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo before they started growing out. But I've had them for over a week now, and the only chip I have is from where my already torn nail when I received the service ripped all the way off. I knew this would happen. I got a pedicure, and a gel manicure and it was $55 in total, which I think was pretty reasonable. Especially because of all the amenities that came with the manicure. THE BAD - The bad really isn't even that bad, but I'm sort of a germaphobe. One part of the manicure I didn't like was the paraffin wax dip. It was cool because I have never had one at a nail place before, but it's also very unsanitary. It know I could have opt'd out (and I should have for time reasons) but I didn't think about it until after my first dip lol. When I asked him when someone would be doing my nails after I had sat about 20 minutes, he said "because you didn't have an appointment you will wait". As the vehicles exiting the parking lot, he asked me if I was upset and I said yes. He began to berate me because I came in without an appointment and I was upset that I had to wait so long when other clients were getting service. He would not stop. Even the technician that eventually came and sat down was patting my hand as if to say it'll be okay. He even got up from his client and came over and started on me again. He told me I had no common sense and that I was stupid to think I could just walk in and get service. He would not let go. I received the same services I always receive and this time I was charged and extra $30. I could explain this in more detail, but suffice it to say that I am seeking a new salon. In particular, one that does not charge me an extra $15 on top of my pedicure in order to remove the old polish they put on and put on new gel polish. My feet were left completely smooth, with all the dead skin removed, and I felt like they really took their time. The technician even pointed out how much dead skin had built up since I hadn't been in a while, and she made sure to get it all. They have a large selection of polish types, and my pedicure still looks perfect over a week later. I don't have a particular person I see--I usually end up with whoever is available--and they're always sweet, gentle, and great at what they do.
