Let me start off by saying we have used Pristine Pool service and repair for about 5 years. The owner's son (Sorry forgot his name) was our first tech and he was great, took the time to even educate me/family about our pool and jacuzzi. We were very happy with our pool service and our technicians. Over the years we had a number of different techs come out and we had to notify them that we had Huskies and to please close our gate when they were finished, we never had any issues. Well this week we received notice that Pristine was no longer going to be cleaning our pool. No reason, just no longer cleaning our pool. We then called Pristine (Kristi) and asked why they were stopping our service. Kristi stated that the new tech's are tired of walking to the front door and asking us to unlock the side gate so they could service the pool. The new tech was also unhappy because the bag on our pool sweep had a hole in it and I fixed it with a metal clip. So Pristine chose to not service our pool any longer and dropped us. I really thought we had a good relationship with Joe and Kristi but I guess not. Apparently, we were low on their priority list and that's why they dropped us. I have had an overall good experience with some issues here and there that I had chose not to addressin order to support our local businesses, but after what happened today, I am choosing to share. Not so much to steer people away, but to educate the business. I have an autistic son who is 7. When I say autistic, I mean it is severe. He has recently started throwing objects into our pool and hot tub. Especially the hot tub. We have been trying to keep him away, but the back yard is free reign for the kids, and he gets toys, rocks, anything he can find, and the throws it through the gate by the hot tub. This upsets us too as we had it resurfaced last year for a lot of money. So, today I get a text from Kristy -- with two pics of my own hot tub, as if I don't know, telling me her tech has been removing the stuff from the hot tub for MONTHS (pool has some debris too, and he did do that, but that wasn't the issue for them, it was the hot tub) and that is its excessive with toys, garbage or whatever. Her tone, was rude, the pics were rude, and she was lying or her tech was lying to her. He has never ONCE helped us take anything out of the hot tub nor did we expect him too. My husband tries to take it out himself, but we have six kids, one severely autistic, we both work full time, and the hot tub doesn't even work! We were not overly concerned and would get to it later. Anyway, the text from Kristy told me due to this, IF it didn't stop, they would have to cancel our account. WTF? I am sorry, but how about a simple text asking me what the situation was or asking us if we could help, or something to that nature? No, immediately jumps to conclusions that we just trash our own hot tub and yard and threatens to stop service. It just was very unkind. On the same note, in support of this local business, not ONCE did I threaten them to fire them, when the newer tech has repeatedly left the pool gates open, my gates to my yard open, that have PAD LOCKS ensure my kids safety. My dog got out due to his negligence, and you know what? He was a new tech to our yard, I hadn't been unhappy before, so I gave it time and respect. I was treated with disrespect, unkindness and rudeness today. I will say Kristy tried to call me after I texted them to remove me from their service, but I did not answer. Someone personally or a business, who immediately threatens me and makes me feel belittled, I will not hear out. There is no excuse. What should I do? Punish a kid who doesn't know he is doing anything wrong to keep it from happening? We all have tough walks in life, and people should be kind and businesses should be kind and professional. Not act like they are doing YOU a favor. read more

Our service was recently terminated by Pristine because we believe the pool tech lied to them about what was going on with our pool and yard. We have had them doing service for 4 years now. We asked our tech why the office told us we have broken equipment and overgrown trees and why he would complain about us changing valve settings. He said the pressure gauge on the filter has been broken, (which it has) but it's not like this would affect him at all. He also admitted we don't have overgrown trees. The closest tree is 30 feet away. We cleaned the filters as soon as it was brought to our attention they were dirty. We would move valve settings according to the needs of the pool (debris on the floor or surface). Not once did the office contact us to address these alleged concerns and ask us our side of things. The tech said they just don't have the time or manpower to do our pool because his route is already very full. Apparently we were low on their priority list. The truth would have been nice to hear from Joe or Kristi instead of putting it off on us. If your pool is easy for them to service then that's who they want for customers. They cannot or do not want to spend more than 15 minutes on your pool. We were paying $150 a month on average. It would vary depending on chemical needs. read more

I have been one of their clients for a few years now and I am very pleased that the quality of service my pool gets is still at the highest level. I had gone through 4 different pool service companies before Pristine and the experience was all the same: they start off hot and take care of the pool, but then as you roll into the second year with them, I get a major dropoff in the service and the pool turns green. With Pristine, it's great to know Tommy will be by on the same day each week around the same time - he is quite knowledgeable and is always professional when we cross paths. Furthermore, if something more extensive is needed, I can always count on hearing from Joe, the owner who will provide details of the work and a proper estimate. These guys have been great. They upgraded an old, inefficient and half-busted pool system that came with our house to a brand new system that's quiet, efficient, and works great. They are reliable and friendly when they come out for routine maintenance and are always happy to answer my questions or show me how to run our equipment. Mike helped me out on a Sunday afternoon even though he was off-duty when I had a problem (still sorry about that, dude, but you were awesome for being so chill!). They take care of everything: system upgrades, installation, haul-away, as well as chemical service and pool sweeping.
