Anyways, this is the reason for the review... The past few months my pool had been building up yellow Alge AGAIN, this was an issue that I had with them in beginning that I had spoke to the wife about it. (Note: I did not have this issue with the previous pool guys) They had got in under control with chemicals and setting the pump on a different schedule. As the weeks go by I've been noticing that the pool isn't being scrubbed, algae is back, the baskets aren't getting cleaned and chlorine tablets aren't being put in. My husband does his rounds once a week on the pool himself so he was noticing things. Mostly making sure the machinery is working properly, checking the basket and what not. So finally after a few weeks of this, the guy replaces our floater for a new one and adds chlorine tabs but he threw the old one behind the pump and said we didn't have one. Idk what that was all about. Though It was a little beat up so it needed to be replaced. I was charged 10$ for that but not a big deal. Anyways, They charged me $125 for cleaning when it was just a rinsing of the filters with my water hose, which I don't care about him using my hose, I thought maybe he was going to pressure wash them with soap or something since the word "cleaning" is what she used when she texted me. We saw on the camera that he had rinsed them on my red concrete which left residue all over the place. I paid the bill and moved on. The last straw... The pool is still looking a little rough with him coming once a week and with my husband doing his little bit on the pool. I tried not to be that weirdo that's watches the camera systems but I started checking them and noticed that he will be back there for about 4-5 minutes tops. So I took pictures of it on Monday since my service day is on Tuesday hoping he'd clean it and he did not.... I really liked this company in the beginning. The owner was such a cool guy and knows a lot about pools and he took on my pool after dealing with a company that had turned out to be scammers.

You can clearly see they did not maintain our pool well and did not provide us with any communication whatsoever. On top of that, they still want to charge us FULL price for their service even though, clearly they did not fulfill their duties. Our pool is now green and developing black algae. We had to hire someone else for this diagnosis because we have 2 children under the age of 4 who cannot enjoy a swim during this heat we have been having in the Central Valley. Their pool technician goes out every week to service the pool, how can our pool be turning green and how can they fail to communicate with us about why this may be happening? There seems to be no form of customer value or satisfaction within their company. I wish we could resolve this issue, but they did not bother to ask us why we no longer wanted their services, they were quick to collect a payment from us, rather than showing us that they care about having us as their customers. Truly disappointing.

Because he has his own pool business, we have the best equipment to make sure our pool looks great. Since he was away, I had to get someone to make sure the pool was clean and kept together. They cleaned up the algae with chemicals, but later told me my brush and net did not work and that I needed new ones. First off, my husband who does pools professionally had no issues with our net and brush, and the past owner of my house who also did pools professionally, used the same equipment and had no issues with it, but Tony's Pools had an issue. Second week, I came home, and the pool wasn't netted, the sides weren't brushed, and there's stuff on my stairs now. To put it in prospective, I have a filter that looks like a little car that constantly drives on the bottom of my pool in the morning to pick up what drops in the pool, and a solar skimmer that constantly skims the top of my pool when the sun is up. The pool practically cleans itself, it just needs mostly chemicals, a quick brush on the sides and an emptying of the little car. I brought this to the attention of the owner, and he asked when my filters were cleaned, and I told him about 3 months ago. He said because of the algae, I needed my filters clean and he would put it on the "to do" list. Nice try, the filters may have needed cleaning if my pool was green, but one corner barely had algae. So two weeks into hiring them, I needed a net, a brush, and a filter clean. Look, Maybe you can scam other people who don't know pools, but I am hoping people will either think twice about hiring them or they will change their business practices. Fake niceness and frequent "friendly" texts may make people love this company, but I just wanted someone to do an honest job. I will do my own pool until I can find someone else.

The owner called me and said we'd been receiving service the whole time (news to us) and he'd like to start over. With all of the issues created by lack of communication on the businesses part, all we wanted was to meet face to face for a few minutes to set things up right. At that point, it was clear he didn't want our business. I'm shocked by all of this because the company gets great reviews, but they definitely aren't hurting for clients and their customer service is lackluster at best. We felt like just a number on a page from day 1. Definitely don't recommend this company. It's expensive compared to others and not worth the money based on what we experienced. We ended up having to do all kinds of service and troubleshooting in our own because the tech wasn't doing their job apparently anyways.

They were very informative, gave me unbiased & truthful information so that I could decide what was the best for our use! The installation was then done on Wednesday, just 2 days after my call & in these days, that's what I call timely. Mario met my husband, always calling before hand, installed the pump, made sure the filter and everything else was working, added chemicals that were needed & our pool is nice & clean again!
