Other than the initial sales visit from Jeff, the whole process was disappointing. If you are not hip to construction protocol, you will likely be more disappointed. I think Wildwood was probably a great company 15-20 years ago, but they are clearly winding down, leadership is suffering from burn out, or they are taking on more contracts than they can handle. There is a lack of leadership, accountability, and basic client management that comes with a $100K+ investment. Wildwood uses sub contractors for every component of the process, which is fine, except that no one from Wildwood is actually running your job. The trickle down of this is that your project is at the mercy of the scheduler and the sub contractor all working cohesively. If they aren't communicating effectively, the hole in the ground will sit for weeks, months... The first day of construction a representative showed up, walked on to our property unannounced, and proceeded to talk to me with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I could go on and on.... Once the construction started, we had to nag them weekly to keep the process going, and even then, sometimes they would show up when they promised, but many times they did not. The start- stop was especially frustrating. We own a plumbing company, and I assure you this is not how construction is done. I am grateful for our pool and I know we will have many memories, however, I am bummed that it felt like we had to battle to get it done. read more

They were flexible, listening to our design ideas, helped us to visualize what we could do, let us know what was next on the schedule, and worked with us on a few changes over time. Jeff Kearns, owner of Wildwood Aquatech Pools constructed our inground pool and our spa and they installed the electrical, filtration and heating systems. For your information, they FAILED to connect the ground wires for the pool, the spa and the pumping equipment. The wires were there but they did not connect to a ground rod, so there was no protection and the installation was unsafe for five years until this was discovered by a heater repair technician. Because of this serious negligence I would not recommend this company. read more

Eleven years ago we interviewed several pool companies, and decided to go with Wildwood. We are so glad that we did. The pool they built for us is outstanding in functionality and beauty. We still get complements from those who visit. The equipment they installed has been top notch, and it has lasted very well. I am finally replacing my chlorine generator after 11 years, and my advanced, variable speed pump is still going strong. The equipment they installed was superior to that being offered by other companies at the time, and the price was only slightly more. It was well worth it. Over the years, every time I have called the office to ask a question, or get a reference for a pool fencing company, etc, Patty and the customer service team have been immediately responsive, and very helpful. Our pool service has been okay in the past, however when our pool started turning green we asked our pool guy how come it was looking so bad. he told us that we needed to turn out filter on for a longer time and that would fix it. Our frustration gained momentum after about a month of "swamp pool" until we had to ask a family member who had a retired pool company owner as a friend. Right away he asked us, if we had backwashed and cleaned our filters...we told him that our pool guy had backwashed the filter a few weeks prior, however never mentioned anything about cleaning the actual filter its self. He was blown away that our pool guy never mentioned anything about that. He offered to come to the house and do it for us. After taking the filter out we saw how much green, gunky, buildup had been in there and it became obvious why our pool wasn't getting clean. Our friend cleaned it once and told us to keep the filter on 24hrs until it got better looking and then he's do it all over once again. Five days and two filter cleanings later, we had our immaculate looking pool back. Since then, we've had zero problems keeping our pool clean. Our pool guy obviously thinks due to his advise our pool is clean, but honestly I can't even bring myself to discuss with him how he overlooked our simple problem. Maybe I'm expecting too much from our pool company, but I feel that with the money we pay for our service I shouldn't have to look at a green pool for a month and use outside resources to solve the problem. read more

We had a pool installed by Wildwood. They are extremely difficult to work and have horrible customer service. The pool is very beautiful, but we will never work with them again. Our expensive pool equipment stopped working and we called them to hire them to fix it. The never set an appointment, they just show up when we are at work and then say it isn't their fault the expensive repair didn't work because they couldn't get into the house when they did the repair. The repair man is knowledgeable, but extremely arrogant and very hard to work with. We spent $3000 on the repair and it still doesn't work. We flushed the $3000 and will have to find someone else to work with. $3000 is a lot of money to us and it was a complete waste and we were treated poorly during the process. This is the first negative review we have ever given anyone or any company. We would give zero stars if that was possible. read more
