I was even told they couldn't find a carrier in my area that could transport my car from Florida to California. After my experience, that clearly wasn't the case. I found out about Number One Auto Transport on Reddit after I saw some great reviews and filled out a form on their site Thursday night. On Friday morning James gave me a call (JAMES YOURE THE BEST!!!) & not even an hour after speaking with him, they had already found a carrier for me. They got to work immediately after our phone call, and my car was picked up that Monday (I first spoke with James on Friday). Since this was my first time shipping a vehicle, James took the time to explain exactly how the process works, listened to my situation, answered all of my questions honestly, and found me a great price (and locked in a carrier super fast). I never felt pressured or misled, I just felt genuinely taken care of. The carrier was fantastic, and both the company and the carrier were professional, responsive, and communicative throughout the entire process. My car arrived from Florida to California in perfect condition, exactly as it was when it left. After my experience with the other "big" company, i was really hesitant about putting trust into another company, but I'm glad i trusted this company. Adam was referred to me by a recruiter through a mutual acquaintance. To reserve transportation for two vehicles, he required a $600 deposit, which I paid approximately six weeks in advance. Throughout that time, he repeatedly assured me that everything was on track. However, he ultimately failed to secure transportation for either vehicle. As a result, we were left scrambling to make last-minute arrangements. During the process, I felt I was repeatedly misled with assurances that the transport would be handled, when in reality no carrier had been secured. More than a week after the scheduled pickup date, only $200 of my $600 deposit was refunded, along with promises that the remaining balance would be returned. Those promises were not fulfilled. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Adam Yoslowitz or Travelers Auto Transport. If you are relying on a broker to coordinate a time-sensitive vehicle shipment, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

The yelp reviews all seemed good and that's why I picked this company, but it was a bad experience that cost me time and money. I spoke with Kathleen who helped me set up the everything smoothly and I was given a "guaranteed quote" to transport my car from Long Island out west. I gave her a 4 day pick up window trying to ensure the pick up happens before I have to take my flight out. She said that sounds good and they would pick it up within that time range. After calls throughout the week, they finally told me one day before my flight (this was the last day of the pickup time range) that I would need to drop off my car to New Jersey (which is a 2-hour drive) and that it would cost $200 more to ship it. At this point, I had no choice but to agree with them. It was absolutely ridiculous to make me do 5-10% of the moving and to then increase the cost by $200 (or roughly 20%).
