The hit was pretty hard and there were some scratches. I took my car in to see if there were any damages. Wow! There was. All the plastic pieces that are under the car attached to the bumper were broken due to the impact. The front absorber was also damaged and the front areas needed repair. They have Toyota and aftermarket parts available. I always choose the Toyota original parts. Car Maintenance: This is important - can be the difference of your Toyota giving you 100,000 more miles. Maintenance on Priuses is crucial. The water pump needs to be replaced at 100k, trans fluid at 60k, Spark plugs at 100k, brake pads need to be checked. I just had my engine replaced and now my car smells VERY bad. As if they dumped dirty oil in it. Now I have to have it professionally detailed and hope that this smell goes away. When I called them they said they can look at it but the shop smells horrible so what is that going to do. I regret spending $3200 here. Just the basic handling of the car couldn't be managed. Andre, the owner and operator of Prius Express is THE BEST. I found him in 2017 when my old 2005 Prius started going down and I decided it was time to get a new one. The Toyota dealer offered me $500 on a trade in for it. Yeah, NO. So I spent $300 at Prius Express and was able to sell it for and easy $3500. I've been back to him for a boo boo or two and some oil changes since 2017. And, in the past 6 months I've had 2 beyond stupid car crashing accidents, both totally my fault (So Dumb!). Now both are repaired and looking beautiful. The first one sent me shopping for the best price. Andre beat the other shops by as much as $2000, the next best was still $500 more. Andre's workers are all respectful and highly competent. The work gets done as quickly as possible and in the estimated time frame. Went in today for the first time with a hybrid system message and check engine light on. They charge fair diagnostic fee and diagnosed my problem as a broken water pump that was affecting the hybrid system. Decided to get it fixed there since they had a reasonable price and would put money for diagnostic fee towards repairs. I needed brakes too since I was there, I asked for pricing and they were honest that only front brakes needed replacement so I added that too. They don't upsale you and try to add anything else, they just get the job done nothing more or nothing less. Guys are very matter of fact and straight to the point. You can Zelle if you want to avoid the 3% card fee. My car is working great and no brake squeaks! I have found my new Prius place. Thank you prius express! read more

I took my car coz my check engine and death triangle signs are on, I met Andre the owner diagnosed what's the problem and end up changing my cars inverter for the cooling system. I had ran into a very serious problem on my way back from a concert in LA (I live in Sacramento) . I didn't have enough oil in my 2007 touring prius, therefore the engine overheated so bad it had holes in it. I broke down outside of Castaic, a small trucker town, and I didn't feel confident with the mechanic I was towed to handling my prius. I towed the car here after finding it on Yelp and thinking they must specialize. I was quoted a very very good price to rebuild a new engine. This place is little rough around the edges and very packed with cars being worked on, little gruff, but it gave me assurance I was taking my car to the right place. They had several Prius's and other cars getting completely rebuilt and constructed. Wasn't some place you just get an oil change. I picked up my car Tuesday after flying to LA, and I drove the car back to my town (430 miles). Not once did I run into an issue or hear any bad noises with the new engine. It was like nothing happened to my car. Very happy and pleased and he made all this trouble of not living in the area and handling my car with ease. For years we have gone to Andre for service of our 2007 Prius. The car has over 275,000 miles on it and runs great. There was a time, years ago, that the car needed a new inverter and the dealer wanted over $3500 just for the part. Andre found us a used part and the entire job was under $500. Not only has the car run great since then, but our gas mileage actually went up substantially from about 40 MPG to 45 MPG. Once my 100K warranty is up on my 2015 Prius I plan to have Andre make that car run as well as my 2007! read more

I have owned 3 Prius cars since they first came out. I wish I had been lucky enough to find Rubik at Prius express as our technician. He was thorough, friendly, and quick. We got back a clean clean car and the price was much more reasonable than going to the dealer, I can tell you!! I once went to a non dealer Prius repair before who only did the job we brought it in for. Rubik ran a complete diagnostic and checked the tires too. I've probably got a couple reviews here already but I've never in my life looked forward to getting my car repaired. I'm behind in posting stories of how great these guys have been to me. Most recently they just did my rear brakes. I fully expected to need new Drums. They told it wasn't necessary. There just isn't a better place anywhere to take a Prius. This is especially true if you are a rideshare driver. I couldn't do this work without Prius Express. They do great work, will give you factory parts or other options. The work is great and they guarantee it. I only post a yelp review if I just did business there. Sometimes a place that was great burns you.
