My review is gonna be long but please read. I didn't read the reviews and now this happened. I came here about two months ago because the A/C in my car wasn't working. When I originally made the appointment, I was told there would be around a $200 diagnostic charge to determine what was wrong with the A/C. They diagnosed a problem with the blower motor and fuse, replaced them, and the A/C was working and blowing cold afterward. My total bill, including an oil change, was almost $800. Three days ago, the A/C stopped cooling and started blowing warm air, although air is still coming out of the vents. I went back today because it has only been two months since the repair. The customer service I received when I returned was terrible. Before even looking at the car, I was told they didn't have time and that I needed to make an appointment. I explained that I had already brought the car to them for the A/C problem only two months ago and showed my receipt. I was then told that because air is still coming out of the vents, the blower motor they replaced is working, so the fact that the air is no longer cold must be "something else." When I asked if they had checked the entire A/C system during the original visit, I was told there was "nothing to check" because the air was cold after they replaced the blower motor. I understand that the blower motor and the components that actually cool the air are different, and I am not claiming that the blower motor they installed has failed. What I don't understand is how I was originally told there would be around a $200 charge to diagnose my A/C problem, but now I'm being told there was "nothing to check" beyond the blower motor because the air happened to be cold at that moment. More than anything, I was disappointed by the way I was treated when I came back. I wasn't demanding a free repair or accusing them of doing anything wrong. I simply expected them to take my concern seriously, especially after spending almost $800 there only two months ago. Instead, I felt dismissed from the moment I arrived. I will be taking my car somewhere else. Regardless of what the new A/C problem turns out to be, I would not return here because of the horrible customer service and also They don't stand behind their work. read more

Eugene was friendly, easy to communicate with, and seemed very honest. I didn't end up going past the diagnosis phase because the part in question was egregiously expensive and not inherently necessary to the functioning of my vehicle. Eugene was very understanding and didn't charge me. TIPS: -Give him a call if you're considering stopping by. The shop is pretty busy (a good sign) and he will let you know when he will have the time to look at your car. We recently moved here from Las Vegas and needed to find a mechanic out here that we felt we could trust and would take care of us. Eugene and Danny were both totally personable and helpful. I came in with issues regarding my AC after making an appointment over the phone days before. It was going to take a few hours, so my boyfriend and I went across the street to the coffee shop and waited. When it was ready, they called us to let us know what they thought was wrong and what our options were, so we returned to chat more. They were both knew what to do with my car and were very easy to speak with. Eugene was super communicative about what we could do if the first option failed to work out, and I can understand why this place has such great reviews. Great customer service, attention to detail, and experts in their field. I'm happy to say that after our first visit here, they definitely left an impression and we have found our go-to mechanic! I've taken both cars in and the work has been done well. On our older SUV they weren't trying to get us to do all the work at once- actually suggested doing bits at a time with the tires being done first. They don't do tires. And he wanted those done before having the car brought in for the work. That's honesty. read more

Earl's is my new shop. This place rocks. My motorcycle had a problem and I took it to the bike shop a few days ago. They held it hostage for a hundred and forty bucks to replace a fuse. The same problem popped up again and since I knew what it was, I went to the nearest shop' which was Earl's Automotive. I asked the friendly guy behind the counter how much it would be to just sell me the fuse. His price? Not $140...he quoted me "free-ninety-free" and handed me the fuse. Anybody who will do that for someone who stuck, I don't care how cheap the part is, earns my business when it's a big problem. Thanks again, Earl's Automotive! read more

Honest! Trustworthy! I took my car there for a issue that Galpin Service center told me was over 4K to repair and Earls found that they unplugged a sensor and wanted to overcharge me for no reason. Earls charged my Freon and I was on my way. I will take my vehicles there for repairs so should you. read more

I went to this shop after I saw its good reviews on Yelp. I spoke with Gene. He was very honest about how much work my car would need. He charges $125 for the diagnostic part but he DID NOT CHARGE me at all saying that it didn't take him long to diagnose the problem. I didn't even have him fix my car just because of the amount of work my car would need and he was very understanding about it. This shop is not after the money. Highly recommended! read more

Nobody can get the ac figured out in my work van. Being in the emergency service and repair field, leaving my van for days in and not get it figured out is not ideal This place figured it out and got it fixed. 4 or 5 other places never mentioned what he did. Not even the Ford dealer. My ac works and I'm fully satisfied with the work and service. I'm perfectly fine with a shop not knowing. But just say you can't figure out and don't waste my time. My 2010 camaro a/c wasn't working and other shops were telling me it's the compressor it's the blend door and another mechanic said he did add Freon so they say. Gene and his team are fantastic. I have been using his garage for the last 6-8 years. I have a 1997 van that he has kept alive for me. He gets it right the first time. For example: I had a problem with my transmission not shifting; I thought for sure it needed replacement. Gene told me it was an electrical problem. I didn't really believe him, but then I thought, who knows more about cars, me or Gene? Turns out Gene was right... He fixed the electrical issue and I haven't had a problem with the transmission ever since. He has also replaced my a/c condenser and recharged the a/c. Of course he has done a multitude of other repairs for me (the van has over 250,000 miles on it and it's 23 years old). I have never been unsatisfied with the service or workmanship. P.S. I have been a customer of Earl's Automotive for 15+ years! That should say it all. I live about 25 miles away from the shop and I still take all of my cars there. From basic maintenance to full blown modifications Earl's Automotive is my 1st choice. Over the years Earl and Gene have worked on the countless toys I have had. They are always so busy with work which should tell you something too but they will make time for you. Gene squeezed me in for a full suspension and brake upgrade on my 2002 Camaro SS just in time for me to make to Willow Springs Race track that weekend. The suspension was so dialed in and I had a great day at the track. Thanks Gene! I have also taken my 2009 Cadillac CTS V to Earl's Automotive and just a few weeks ago an old Bronco that I am fixing up. I have even taken the cheap beater truck that I have to run around in and they treat it the same as my $80K Cadillac. Gene is never too busy to advise me as well when I am thinking about upgrades to any of my cars/trucks. They know which parts work and which ones don't which comes from their extensive experience. What can I say about this place? Just pure awesomeness. Brought my 2010 Shelby in for a transmission slave cylinder replace which I thought was the problem (It wasn't). Gene was the man that helped me throughout the whole process he called me to give me updates on where he was at and provided guidence throughout the whole repair job. At the end it was something with the transmission so I had to go to another repair shop who specializes in them. The price to drop the tranny and change out the slave came out to $525 which was far better then other places that wanted to charge over $700 to just drop it. Legit guy and he won't scam you at all. This will be the only person that touches my baby from now on. read more
