My son took our old 2008 Camry to school in Rhode Island and unfortunately he was having a problem with the hybrid battery. We contacted Priuskings and they told us it is best to have diagnostic done to determine the error codes. The codes came back with a POA80 which determined a hybrid battery replacement was needed. They were running a special for $200 off one of their high capacity batteries which we found to be a great deal compared to other service providers. He had to wait a couple of days as the battery was coming from their Boston location. The technician kept us posted on the prognosis and was very friendly. We definitely are happy to have avoided purchasing a battery for almost $5000 form the dealership. We will see how this battery holds up as we have read some mixed reviews however we understand we are purchasing a refurbished battery which is less than half of the price of a new battery which is understandable. I am extremely happy with the work I received from Aric and Prius kings. After the traction, AKA hybrid, battery died in my 06 Prius and a quote from a dealer that seemed unreasonably high I contacted Prius kings and asked a lot of question. I will never take a motor vehicle to the dealership ever again. The guys at Prius King's understood what what's happening with my car within 10 minutes of arriving at their shop in Brooklyn. The technician found a high voltage leak that was coming from corrosion on components inside my inverter. The dealership told me I needed a hybrid battery replacement, literally for no reason. The technician Max replaced my inverter in about 30 minutes with a used one for under $300. The battery began charging back up just like it did before and I drove out of their shop one hour later for less than $400 including tax. If you have a hybrid vehicle, I would definitely recommend bringing it to Prius Kings and save yourself the trouble of going to the dealership. I live a long way from NYC, but I bought the Priuskings video and went about replacing the bad cells (2) in my 2005 Prius traction battery. The video was clear and complete, and the job was much easier than I imagined. When I had questions Aric was quick to respond, and the process went just as he said it would. So many repair shops have no idea where to start when it comes to fixing hybrid cars. The brake pump on my Prius went bad and I thought it was time to junk the car. We went to another shop in Queens and they could not figure out how to remove the brake pump properly. After searching for a shop that can do the job correctly we found Priuskings. We had our Nissan Altima at Bay Toyota for two weeks trying to figure out where there was a high voltage leak that was causing the car to not go into drive. The dealership told us it was coming from the inverter and wanted to charge us almost $5000. The car is only worth $4000 at best. The guys at priuskings where able to source a used inverter for $300 and had it installed in two hours. They only charged me $800 including the inverter.
