We went to Township deli today because we wanted one of their hoagies all week long because they were so good. Today we went in and the lady that was making the hoagies I think her name is Katie stood there in front of me counted a bunch of money out and then proceeded to make my hoagie. I asked her was this my hoagie she was making ...she said yes and I said hold it can you wash your hands please she looked offended the nice guy that owns the place looked offended but he told her to wash your hands and she did. Ugh. Torn. On one hand, I want to give this place five stars... but that'd be based on the far past, and not on what I actually experienced today. Back when I lived in Glouco, TWP Deli was my favorite delicatessen. I'm mostly speaking in terms of about 5+ years ago and before. I'm not sure what has happened to them since, but the product I had today tasted nothing like what I remembered from back then. Which is a shame, because one mark of a good business is consistency. Take Sal's down the road. I've always trusted that their pizza will taste exactly the same. And it does, year after year. So it started out with me ordering my usual: chicken salad hoagie, with only lettuce and bacon. I was so excited to re-taste this chicken salad hoagie. I know this sounds absurd, but I've had my share of chicken salads in my lifetime, and I can differentiate the slightest of tastes between them at this point. This chicken salad was not the same chicken salad. Making matters worse: They didn't listen to my "only lettuce and bacon" request. They dumped a crapton of oregano on it (WHY???), plus onions and tomatoes. I instantly took the onions and tomatoes off, but you can't get that oregano taste out of a hoagie once it's in it. And considering that the person working wasn't all too nice even after I tried to make friendly banter about the fact that the size of the hoagie roll definitely grew, I didn't feel like going back in to let them know that they made the hoagie wrong. Anyway... moving past chicken salad fiasco that was a bummer: This is a very tiny deli. It's in a shady-looking strip mall with a smoke shop, empty storefront, and a couple other places. They really need to re-do the asphalt in the parking lot. The store's sign hasn't been updated in eons. It often looks like the deli is closed when it is not. Their prices are pretty good. They pride themselves on selling Dietz & Watson. Take that as you may. It's a decent option, I guess. It just used to be better. read more

I have ordered food from here on multiple occasions. The hoagies are VERY good. Did not like cheesesteaks or fried chicken wings. So when I order from here it's strictly hoagies. The service has improved since my last visit. Everyone was quite pleasant. Lovely older gents! Thank you! read more

Newish to the area. TWP deli does everything right. Quality, customer service, packaging, quantity, efficiency. They're a hit. Prices are great too. You truly get a quality meal that will fill you up with some to save for later for a good price. Lunch meat too. Cheesesteak, cheese fries, barrel pickle and a pound of Cooper sharp is my go to. Picked up lunch from here earlier this week - I ordered the Whitman and customized it a bit. It was delicious - fresh ingredients, cooked well and assembled well. My sub stayed together and my customizations were carried out exactly as I asked. Would definitely recommend for a lunch deli! read more

TWP Deli is honestly the best place ever!!!! First of all, their food is SOOOO delicious. Their lunch meat is the freshest I've ever had so are their rolls!!! Food aside, Bruce, the owner, is truly the nicest person I have ever come in contact with. My grandmother is in ailing health and he went out of his way to send her a card signed by everyone at the deli! He also offered to deliver her food. I just can't say enough good things about this place! I highly recommend!!!! read more

Our family ordered lunch for 40 family members and friends. Bruce - super nice guy, delivered all on time, and setup everything. The food was incredible - meatballs/sub rolls, chicken tenders, cold cut trays with all accompanying condiments, pasta salad, potato salad, and green salad. Everything was fresh and of high quality. There was plenty of food for all, and we still enjoyed some leftovers two days later! Would highly recommend them for any party/catering in South Jersey. read more

With not many delis in the Whitman square/ birches area they really can be the spot for deli lovers. My family comes here for sandwiches every once in a while and always enjoy it. Ordered a gyro, cheese fries and 10 piece mild wings. The wife picked up the food and brought it home. The gyro had very little meat and it suppose to come with a tzatziki sauce. The came with mayo. they gave my wife the wrong wings. they were soggy, luke warm temp wise and not the ones I ordered. The bleu cheese sauce in the container had separated and did no good trying to stir it up. So I went back to the place but since it was so close to closing time they were closed and the guy in the place wasn't about to come and see me as he was too busy cleaning the counters..
