I would like to THANK this company whole heartily for the unexpected service they provided to me.  I had some subwoofers that went bad, (Brand undisclosed) gently used and just outside of warranty and no use during Covid season. Long story short, Pro Audio & Lighting worked hand in hand with the manufacture to cover my situation. For a small drop off fee that went towards the repairs, their professionalism was top shelf. I will ALWAYS buy and/or rent my DJ supplies and equipment from PROAAL. Since they've moved locations, they have a ton more space and any time I'm looking for something, they find it for me right away. The store manager Tom is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He knows what he's talking about and can always point you in the right direction. The showroom up front features all of the sound equipment and there's a lighting room in back to show off all of the awesome fixtures they have. I was very happy with a recent rental of a subwoofer and mixer. The cost was reasonable and they reviewed the item checklist with me when I brought it back. If you can get out to 14 and Dequindre, do it. It's worth the trip. read more

If you're sticking within the traditional realm of DJs and stage musicians...you're fine here. If you're looking for things that are for broadcast studios like different mic arms or some other stuff that doesn't fall into one of those categories, you're pretty out of luck. However, the staff is really helpful and friendly, and so I don't feel the need to tell you to avoid it like the plague or anything. read more

Awful service. I have actually never written an online review before in my life, but this was such an awful experience, I felt obligated to let the world know not to go here. Truly the worst customer service I've experience in my 26 years of life. Incredibly disorganized and extremely frustrating to deal with. I dropped off speakers with money for repair and didn't hear back from the company for 3 weeks. I had to proactively call every time. Each time I would call, I would be told "Let me check the update" only to be left on hold for 7-10 minutes and they never had an update. The week before the speakers were done being repaired, I was told the money I put down would cover the parts and labor. When I went to pick them up, the guy said "sorry, its actually an additional $100." Terrible service. Didn't ever reach out to give updates when they said they would. Misrepresented the price of the repairs. Could never get a straight answer. When I called to complain, the manager Dave (?) was very rude as well and decided to argue with me. Frustrating experience. Wouldn't recommend Pro Audio and Lighting to anyone, in fact, stay away. If I could give 0 stars I would. Nothing was "Pro" about this place. Every employee was more incompetent than the last. They stink. Surprised they are still in business. DONT GO HERE! read more

A lot better than guitar center. I'll probably never go back to GC since I found this place. They are very good at answering questions. Even hooked me up with a couple deals. I go to GC and they ignore me and not very up to date on their knowledge. At Pro Audio and Lighting. He tweaked the program and settings of a moving head to see if we could get it to do what I want. I went to GC yesterday and I had to figure out where to turn everything on myself because no one would help. Probably messed up a bunch of their settings but that's what they get for their lack of service. So far I love this new place and plan to take my business there. GC lost out on a $4,000 purchase. read more

I have been shopping at Pro Audio and Lighting for 21 years. I have never once been unhappy with a purchase. Robb and his professional staff treat you with respect and are very patient and knowledgeable when it comes to asking tons of technical questions. They NEVER make you feel stupid for asking. I drive 80 miles to shop at this store. It is fully stocked with all of the latest electronics. From lighting to Amps, mixers, software, speakers, racks and so much more. They have it all. Customer service is key in any business and they get 5 STARS from me. I highly recommend this place for ALL of your DJ or BAND equipment. If you go to this store, be prepared to spend a few hours looking at all they have. The lighting room is second to none and will blow your mind with the selection. We recently used their services for an 8th grade dance held by the middle school PTSA. When I first spoke with them they told us delivery would be free. Then when I called to confirm our order of 4, four foot led blacklights they told me that employee was no longer working there and that we would have to pay $150.00 delivery fee which we agreed to. The day of the dance they scheduled delivery at 10 am. THEY WERE AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE! When the lights finally got there they were not even what we ordered. I had been assured that these "4 foot long lights on stands would be enought to light up our whole gym. The lights were very small (less than one foot long each) they were not enough for the gym and even after being super late they still insisted on charging $100 delivery fee. I seriously hope people think twice before using them. Our PTSA will certainly NEVER use this company again. We could not have been more dissatisfied! read more
