I had an entirely excellent experience working with Aaron to install an aux/Bluetooth unit in my older Toyota. 1. The quote he gave me was perfectly reasonable, and in keeping with quotes I've gotten from other reputable shops. He actually ended up beating the quote, adding an extra feature and still coming in under the estimate. 2. From the get-go, Aaron did a great job outlining the benefits and drawbacks of every available option. He could have downplayed the value of the cheaper choices, but he was very up-front about all trade-offs and didn't push the issue when I decided to go for the cheapest option. 3. The installation was quick and easy, took the amount of time Aaron had estimated, and they even removed some residual hardware to improve the look and function of my radio! He also made a point to install the aux unit in such a way as to minimize the need to reopen the car if the cord ever got damaged. 4. Aaron was extraordinarily communicative throughout the whole process, offering options, providing information on the prospective systems, working hard to schedule me around his out-of-office time, and checking in to make sure they were fulfilling precisely what I wanted. Luis (the owner) was amazing. He took the time to explain options for converting a 2008 radio system to a factory made look modern interactive radio system that seamlessly connects via iphone. He order the molded facing directly from Ford and inserted the screen and replaced speakers. Also added a rear view camera. All professionally done on time at a reasonable price! read more

Am very happy I found this place, these guys are amazing. Recently I had a Rockford Foss gate amp and Infinity Reference speakers installed in my 2010 Civic. The (undisclosed) stereo shop who installed the equipment, did not tune my amp. I found Pro Auto Stereo today; I asked them if they had time to tune my amp and speakers. I WANT TO MENTION THESE GUYS DID NOT TRY AND PUSH ME TO PURCHASE ANY OF THEIR PRODUCTS. Without hesitation he inspected the work, that was previously done, laughed and informed me that the cables were reversed. He unplugged the amp rca jacks and methodically began to tune each speaker. Full version: My Ford Explorer hasn't had a stereo for years, ever since I sold all the components, amps and subs so I could buy a bunch of baby stuff for my son when he was born. Fast forward five years, and I divorced my son's mom (amicably), and she moved four hours away. Now I was faced with a really long drive each way to see my son, with no stereo in my truck. I bought a new system - 5 channel amp, full components in all doors, 10" sealed sub, bluetooth deck with hands free mic - and I called around the peninsula trying to find a great place to install all of it. You'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't) at how many of these car stereo places are rude on the phone - like they're too busy to be bothered to help you. When I spoke to Pro Auto, they were super friendly on the phone and invited me in so they could see my SUV and talk about the install. It was my fault, but I kept putting off going in to see them, until finally, it was only a few days away from my first trip down south to see my son, and I rushed over to their shop to see if they could do the install. They were already booked for the next two weeks (of course, because they're a popular shop with great service), but after I explained the situation, not only did they agree to do the install as a rush job, but they didn't charge me anything extra for it. It was a big, time-consuming install and they still managed to get it done in two days so I could have music on the long drive to see my kiddo. These guys really are pros, and they're nice, too. I found Pro Auto Stereo here on Yelp, and was a bit concerned with some of the reviews, but the overall positive rating seemed worth giving them a try. My experience with them via phone was good, when I came by they were friendly and made sure to understand what I wanted, and quoted a reasonable price. They finished the work ahead of their committed time, called to let me know, and I was very happy with the quality of the work they performed (I had them install a dual-port cigarette lighter/accessory adapter in my glove box and re-run some wiring for my iPhone/Android adapter and dashcam). I may be upgrading my car stereo head unit, and if I do, I'll be going back to these folks to do the install. They seemed very competent, professional and motivated to have happy repeat customers. read more

I knew my speakers needed to be replaced for a while. When I took my car in to MB Garage and casually mentioned about my speakers. A gal there recommended since she got her speakers replaced there also. She also told me not to go to an MB for that. Luckily, this place is 3blocks away from our place. I ran into an issue about a week after installing my new sound system, where it kept turning on and off so I took it back thinking that something was wrong. Best experience I've had dealing with any type of sales. There was absolutely no sales pressure, even recommended a part I get outside to save myself money. These guys are great. I came in with my 1998 dodge truck and i thought the antenna was the main being that my radio hardy worked and i could only listen to one AM channel(at least it was 680 the sports leader) Anything he played around with it and we drove around the block and he figured out that the problem was not the car antenna but that the actual radio was busted. He gave me some options for other car decks and i got a really good product for a great price, and he hooked me up on the installation. My Porsche dealer misdiagnosed the issue with my PCM 3.0 and insisted that the only way to fix my "no sound issue" was to replace the head unit for over $2,500...Given the lack of options provided - besides replacing the head unit, I proceeded to contact Luis. Amazing, great, awesome!!! What else can I say about what Luis did for me, nothing but good!!! I heard about Luis and his team from a friend that had some stereo issues which ended up being a walk in the park for these guys. I had searched up and down the bay area for a place that could take care of my dead door locks. I have a 2000 Lexus GS 300, key word being "Lexus" which means an issue like mine can become outrageously pricey. After talking to countless dealerships auto repair shops and so on, I finally gave Luis a call thinking he was going to tell me the same thing everyone else had "stock parts from a Lexus dealer, all 4 doors $2400"... After bringing it to his shop and leaving it with him so he could take a look, no less than 2 hours went by before I got the call. As I was expecting he broke the news "all 4 door lock motors are dead", expecting to hear what was told to me time and time again he paused..... There's options.... Options!!! This is the first I've heard, you mean I have a choice!!! Without getting into extreme detail, Luis had come up with a cost effective alternative to solving all the problems I had been dreading to take care of. After a few days and a couple of phone calls to me and who knows how many others, he had tracked down, replaced, rebuilt, refurbished, re- everything you can think of to make sure that not only my car was as good as day it came off the line, but that I was happy with the results. On top of doing the job for 1/3 of the cost everyone else had quoted, when I came to pick up the car he threw in another surprise!!! Somehow my keyless remote was working again, another $350 saved on getting a replacement key from Lexus!!!
