I used to drive a 2012 Mercedes Benz C250, which had more than 169,000 miles on it at the time. After I got a check engine light, Artec Automotive determined that the issue would cost at least $2,500 to repair. Instead of encouraging me to do the repair, I was advised to avoid the repair, given the car was getting up there in miles and may have required much more repairs shortly after. Great Service and friendly guys! I called them asking if they could take a look at my 1995 M3 project I've been working on because the alignment felt off after having it done and 2 different shops and all the parts on the car are new. They test drove it to get an idea of how it felt before the alignment (something 9/10 shops don't ever consider) and once the car was on the rack they spotted a few issues that require attention to make the car feel perfect. Post alignment the car feels infinitely better to drive and isn't unstable at highway speeds anymore! These guys know their alignments! If you're looking for auto shops on Yelp, chances are you're looking for a Unicorn: a shop that you can trust and provides good work, fast (bonus points if they love dogs!) ... Artec is that unicorn! They are fast, honest, and know what they're doing. They also don't try to rip you off, which is refreshing! My convertible's back window needed to be resealed/replaced. I called literally every car place from RWC to Burlingame (and some places across the bridge) that works on convertibles. ALL but 2 shops told me they couldn't (wouldn't) reseal the window and that I needed to replace the entire top. I have a 2019 Buick Cascada that is in otherwise pristine condition, so replacing the top (@ $3k-$4k) seemed crazy to me, which my out-of-state mechanic friend confirmed. I was about to just give up and seal it myself when I came across Artec... Artec was the ONLY shop in the area that agreed to reseal the top. They also explained that the *window* (not the entire top) should be replaced, but the glue will hold for about a year so I don't need to worry about that now. Their shop is across from a gas station (the one just north of O'Neils) and behind another (much smaller) family mechanic shop. Artec is bigger and much busier than the shop in front of it, so the fact that they are excelling even in such close proximity to a competitor speaks volumes! Also important: these guys give off great vibes! They are very genuinely kind and helpful. You can tell that they truly enjoy what they do. Finally, and most importantly IMHO: they love dogs! They have the prettiest, sweetest and most well-behaved dog. read more

With the weather really heating up, I finally decided that the factory window tints on my 6 month old ultra red 2023 Tesla Model X wasn't enough so I researched yelp for a solid detailing shop and found Artec. Very nice family run local business in San Carlos. Very convenient location. They have a great deal of experience with Teslas and were very responsive to my questions and gave me a very reasonable quote. I went with their recommendations on the level of tinting and of course I chose ceramic to help with blocking IR that I don't think factory tints do as well. At least I wanted to make sure everything was optimal in preventing too much heat from damaging the interior and to keep the overall temps down from the windows. My Model X was already PPFd by a shop in San Jose but I really liked the newer graphene coating tech and so had Artec coat everything. Again very reasonable and competitive pricing. I have no regrets. The detailing work was outstanding and the car looks brand new again and dirt doesn't seem to stick! I really appreciated their expertise. Ernest spent time with me to go over how they detail their cars and recommended cleaners if I wanted to clean the exterior myself and that was so helpful. They are friendly and efficient and they returned my vehicle at the promised time even though they had to take extra time and energy the night before to get the job nicely done. I am impressed with their invoicing service by email and paying them is a breeze with Apple Pay. Believe me, they will take great care of your vehicle! The window tinting made a huge difference in the decreasing the radiant heat transferred in through the glass. Highly recommended! I went to get my car checked because my electrical power steering light went on. Was greeted by Danny and Scott at the front. Scott immediately checked my car which I really appreciated and he let me know what was wrong with the battery. There was corrosion build up on my battery... which is terrible and my car could stop at any time. I asked if its possible to get it changed right away. Scott went back in to ask, and the others just immediately said no.... and that it's not possible. I understand that they have a lot going on, but they didn't give me any reassurance or any options. Just a no, sorry. When someone tells you your cars battery is at it's worse, and your car could stop, won't that give you major worries? Wow once again ARTEC Automotive blew me away! Amazing high quality work, I couldn't be happier with the results. My first experience with ARTEC was for a modified exhaust for my 2016 BMW F36 435i Grand Coupe. The challenge with my model of vehicle was there were no affordable aftermarket exhausts for my model (only for F32's). Eddie told me that Armen could custom fabricate a custom exhaust for my 435i. It ended up turning out amazing, sounds great and quality wise looks like something that you would see on an M4 GTS. ARTEC's summer intern custom fabbed some high quality anodized aluminum uprights for my Vorstenier Carbon Fiber Spoiler which look great on my car and I get compliments on them regularly. After these few upgrades I had the itch to beef up the power to support the amazing sound of the N55 engine. I decided to go with a N55 Pure Stage 2 Turbo which on 91 octane pushes my 435i to 440whp. Eddie had great recommendations for parts to support that power such as a Pure High Flow Inlet, Fuel-It Low Pressure Fuel Pump, Bosch Spark Plugs, Dinan Intake, Fabspeed HighFlow Catted Downpipe, Evolution Racewerks Charge pipe and turbo pipe, and a CSF Intercooler. ARTEC did an excellent job installing these parts, and also helped me setup my MHD ECU flash. They even went above and beyond to help me clear transmission codes on my car after the flash. Overall their customer service is awesome, always replying to emails quickly and providing honest recommendations and advice to keep my car running smooth and efficient. We need more honest shops like them out there, I highly recommend ARTEC for any performance modifications to your car! I'm so pleased with how my car turned out, and it's an absolute dream to drive. ARTEC was more than willing to work within my budget and were very flexible when it came to price matching which I really appreciated.
