Joseph Deering (JD) of Pro Edge Painting is unprofessional in dealing with potential customers. I called for an estimate for the batten board, an accent wall, and a stairway. I had my walls painted about a month ago, but I wanted to gather some more quotes for the project. His quote was far higher than what I paid to get two whole floors of my townhouse painted by another reputable company. I also want to note the following points: 1. His prices/quotes are obscenely high - he quoted me $3,448 for a stairway, accent wall, and half a living room wall. 2. He is very unprofessional, and we got into a back-and-forth argument because I wanted a comprehensive breakdown of prices. 3. He refused to provide a breakdown of materials, parts, and labor costs, which I repeatedly requested. 4. He sent me an email quote. For the prices he charges, company stationery would look more presentable and professional. I would not recommend this company because JD is unprofessional and lacks customer service skills. read more

Let me start by saying I never actually got any work done since I couldn't get a timely estimate. Reached out to Pro Edge painting and scheduled an estimate. Everything was great up until thr Morning of the estimate. I was contacted that the estimate needed to be rescheduled as the estimator was pending a COVID test. I appreciated the estimator being forthcoming and not expose my family. This was the right call. We left it with rescheduling at a later date. Reached out a couple times after that to just get on the schedule but was told he wasn't scheduling until he got better. Again, also the right call. I asked to please let me know when I can get added to the schedule. No updates for a month. Resched out a month later and was told they could get me an estimate a week later. I asked for a Saturday as previously scheduled as I work during the week. Nothing available for 4/5 weeks. I asked for early morning or later in the evening and was told they only do estimates were from 9am to 130 pm. Ok. Well at this point its clear they are very busy and don't need the business. I'm just surprised after me chasing this for more 4 weeks I couldn't get an estimate. If there isn't any flexibility in just scheduling or rather rescheduling a previous appointment then I'm not sure how the actual work would be. Maybe the company needs more than one estimate. Flexibility for individuals who work M - F with a normal work schedule would go a long way. read more

HORRIBLE!!! The owner and his dad are a couple of loud mouth jerks. "We use $80/roll for dry wall tape, and all of employees speak English" Whatever dude. Your stupid tape fell off the walls after 2 weeks and I really don't care what language they speak. The work was terrible. We had to re-do much of it on our own. RUN AWAY NOW! read more

I hired Pro Edge to paint multiple areas in my home. I would not recommend this company to anyone who is looking for honest, professional service. They hired subcontractors to perform the work and did not complete the job. Two return efforts did not address the problems. Surface cracks and rough spots were not corrected as promised in the contract and several areas did not receive a coat of paint. Pictures of some of the problems are included with this review. The differences in color, streak, and sheen is not caused by the camera. This is the result of the poor job Pro Edge delivered. read more

ProEdge is quick to respond and to provide quotes for painting, etc. but not so good with follow-up when things go wrong. Hired them to re-stain our front porch and was told that BM Arborcoat was the way to go. Not so. Our front porch was re-stained by ProEdge using Arborcoat instead of Olympic, our usual, and am deeply disappointed. Does not perform as well as Olympic, which typically repels water, whereas Arborcoat leaves behind watermarks from rain. Also, cut-in marks are evident, which I was told with Arborcoat that would not happen. Called Benjamin Moore and discussed the situation with them. Was told by the BM rep that the painters should have never re-stained until they removed the previous stain and started with a stain-free surface. (Not practical nor cost-efficient for most consumers!) Was never told this by ProEdge reps and was not told that the stain would be a matte finish. Speaking as someone who worked with SW Corp for years in paints and stains, matte finishes are not recommended for high-traffic floor areas including porches. Have hired another local painter to remedy the situation. Save yourself time, money and frustration and find another painter who will not push Arborcoat on their clients. Check out the online reviews for Arborcoat stain and Olympic semi-transparent stain. You will find that Olympic semi-transparent stain outperforms Arborcoat. read more

What a GREAT experience we had with Pro Edge! JR, the owner, responded to my initial inquiry rather quickly. Scheduled an appt. to do our walk through, within the week, and had our quote back to us that evening. While JR was at our house he was kind, thorough, honest and confident in his team's ability to come in and get the job done, quickly! His quote was very reasonable and time was a big factor for us. On top of their wood replacement and painting services, we used, Pro Edge also offers a complimentary designer, when you spend over a certain amount. What an extraordinary service offered, especially when you are on the fence with color choices, like we were. She was THE BEST!!!! Natalie's artistic eye and color recommendations were spot on with our vision. She was patient and so much fun!!! I wish she could have stayed for dinner. :) After having a cancellation, JR took the initiative to reach out and offer an earlier start date, that worked out better for us! The Pro Edge team came in ready to roll and they worked so hard. While we were initially told it would take 3 days, this team of 5-8 people each day, came in and wrapped this project up!!! From set up to clean up, the detail and the persistence of this team was something to aspire to. They were all extremely kind and accommodating to my final walk through requests (and I am very picky). What an unprofessional rip-off! Had to contact them several times to come back and finish the work. Being eldery they thought I wouldn't notice but my HOA let me know that the outside painting was not complete. No rotten wood was replaced and colors did not match. What a waste of $$$ . read more

Pro Edge Painting did an excellent job repainting most of the interior of our home -- a project that took five days. JR and his dad checked in each day, and their large crew worked quickly, professionally, and were very responsive to our requests during the project. I was particularly impressed at how meticulously JR's team prepped the walls and ceiling to make sure any imperfections were repaired, including re-taping drywall seams where necessary. We had our foyer, hallways, 2+story great room and eat in kitchen painted along with the ceilings and the ceilings in two other rooms. Everything with the process was very professional, from the estimate appointment to the final clean up. The team that painted our home was very meticulous not only with painting but with making sure everything was cleaned up and the big pieces of furniture put back in place after the job was done. They were very respectful of us and our home. And they did an incredible job! One added perk is they had a designer come to our home and help with color selection. She was great and helps us pick a color for a challenging room. We also appreciated the suggestion to add a piece of molding to our coffered ceiling which makes the ceiling look even better. We had a really great experience with Pro Edge Painting from start to finish. The project consisted of adding new crown molding in our master suite, new baseboard, and painting. Soon after reaching out to Pro Edge for an estimate, Mike came to our home to survey the work area and within a day or so had drafted a detailed quote, which I always appreciate. Over the next 2 weeks, Mike revised the quote's language to include specific details I wanted (such as model of trim for future reference) as well as patiently waited while my wife hunted for the perfect color. When the project finally began, the crew worked extra long hours to have everything complete in two days, including all of the work needed to cut and install all of the molding. Because our home is older, none of our walls are perfectly flat and our corners are rarely 90 degrees and so the crew had to work diligently to try and overcome those obstacles. I think in the end they did a good job, considering they are painters and not professional wood workers. Everything wrapped up on time and we are SO thrilled. We have already started thinking about our next painting projects and we will definitely be going back to Pro Edge. Oh, and their quote was several thousand dollars less than a competitor. That was much quicker than I expected and I'm very please with the work. I was having anxiety about paint splatter on the floor and carpet, but the team covered everything. They also cleaned up nicely and put the furniture back when they finished. That was a total relief to come home to. From initial contact, to completion of the job Pro Edge gets my 1000% approval rating! I knew from the moment I received the first email, this was going to be the company for me. Fast turnaround in replies pretty much no matter what time the day/night! J.R. was very polite, explained everything in terms a person could understand. Not like most that run through the fact sheets and leave your head spinning. Any questions that were asked were answered in detail and without making me feel like I was bothering. Even after a few reschedules of the initial walk-through estimate (my side and theirs), J.R. was the ultimate professional. Pricing is uber fair and the job was completed in less than three days. Juan and crew even volunteered to stay after 7pm the second day if I wanted them to (in order to finish), but that was not necessary but fantastic of them to offer. There were four people in the crew painting my condo and they went right to work - and worked long hours only taking a small break for lunch. They showed up early; never late. I have an accent wall that was proving hard to match through a couple samples being applied to the wall, but then I discovered I had the original can so Juan went back out (for at least the third time), to get the correct color. He was also very polite and did not give a 'tude of why do I have to keep doing this. Even he said, I don't like that color - it's too dark. Talk about honesty! :) I was SUPER impressed by them moving all the furniture back into place at the end of each day even though they were coming back the next to continue. Big contrast to the last company I used that left everything pushed into the middle of the room and covered up (because they were too lazy to deal!) - HUGH plus for Pro Edge! Charles (field supervisor) is fantastic! He makes sure everything is going according to schedule/plan and on the walk-through after completion was catching things I didn't even see. There again, a true professional not getting upset at all the things I was pointing out and asking to be fixed. He even took to painting the louvered door of my pantry because it required patience and time - like three coats at least - and by the last day I think the two guys that came, were just wanting to go after tweaking here/there and thus were not getting it covered correctly. I am super fantastic happy and will recommend to everyone I can - even if they are not talking about getting a paint job done. We had an awesome consultation with Jeremy, he got us set up with Christine for our complimentary color selection (complimentary if you spend a certain amount), and we were able to pick all of our colors in a matter of an hour with her! Jeremy scheduled us to be painted for this week and the crew he sent was wonderful. JR (the owner), Jeremy, and Mike (he oversaw our project) have us daily updates on what was completed and addressed any concerns we may have. We added on something last minute and they were ready the next morning to tackle on an additional job. I was moving into a new townhouse at the end of 2016 and wanted to paint the main kitchen/living/dining room area as well as two bathrooms and the master bedroom prior to moving in. JR was fantastic to work with - gave me written estimates that included all the details of the work and answered my many questions in a timely manner. His painting crew were great. The came on time, worked continuously over 2 days and cleaned up the entire place after everything was finished. I was especially impressed with their communication about the job status and that they weren't willing to cut corners with the paint job (I chose a very dark color for the master bedroom and they had to use more paint that anticipated, but did not charge me extra) The rooms look absolutely fantastic and continues to do so a year later.
