Bought my first handgun here and had an overall okay experience. The only complaint I have is the wait time, however one of the guys behind the counter was telling me they are in the process of expanding the building to take care of the lines. I came in right when they opened and already had to wait in a 45 minute line to be helped. Add an additional hour to get your paperwork done. As far as prices go this place is better than other gun stores around here but you can get better prices online and have it shipped to an FFL. Make sure you check your firearm when you come back to pick it up. My new handgun had a scratch on the side of the slide which was a little bit annoying considering I bought it new. Wont be coming back here considering I can order online and have it shipped to an FFL without wasting 2-3 hours of my day unless it's a last resort. read more

Great place with a ton of merchandise. The store is fairly small and is often crowded with a whole lot of customers. Employees are super friendly, sometimes a bit too friendly and that's why I only give them three stars. It's nice to chit chat while the transaction is getting done but when there is more talking then working going on it leads to longer wait times and more frustrated customers. The last couple of times I've been there I've waited an hour to an hour and a half and two of the sales associates were dealing with the same customer from before I arrived and they were still dealing with them after I left and there was a lot more talking than working going on. Over all the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. They often have the hard to find stuff but you just have to plan on being there for a few hours, so be ready to stand around for a while and very possibly be crammed in like a pack of sardines but eventually you will get what you need. read more

Great prices on every item in the store. The staff is friendly and their number one priority is to help you out. I really appreciate the way the staff treats the customer and you could tell they genuinely want to help you. Great selection on everything law enforcement. Only complaint is the long wait. You can be waiting there for a few hours sometimes just to get a gun. But that is not their fault they are definitely a popular location for law enforcement equipment. Horrible service. To run a shop that values the time of their customers so little is a disgrace. This isn't an unexpected busy time. It's every day. They know that the wait is 1-3 hours, and they don't care. My time is too valuable to waste it there. Why wait in line to save $5, or $10 on a gun? There are several stores (including the Orange County Peace Officers' Association store in Orange) that charge near the same price, and don't waste their customers time making them wait in line for hours and hours. If you are the type to wait in line at Costco for an hour or more to save $.05 on a gallon of gas, then go for it. If your time is valuable to you, then go somewhere else, and not here. They don't care about you, and won't care as long as there is a line of customers out the door. read more

Nice staff and quality merchandise. I also like the fact that you have to be LE or Medical Personnel to enter. It keeps all the screw offs out so that you can focus on your task. I haven't purchased a gun in 15 years. Pro Force is open to law enforcement only. I went to Pro Force on a recommendation and it worked out great. I was told it gets crowded and the wait was about 2 hrs to purchase a gun. The first time in I went on a Monday after lunch and sure enough it was very busy. They do have a number system in place so at least you know your wait will be fair. I decided not to wait and returned just before opening on Wednesday. I was the first one in and within 25 minutes I was out the door. (By then, there were at least 15 customers already in the door) I was helped by Mikey as soon as I walked in the door. She was ready to go and very friendly. Her customer service is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this location, but get there early or be prepared for a wait. Good prices and selection, but bring a lunch and a book. Went to pick up a gun today (Saturday) after my 10-day wait. I was number 89 and the counter was on 80. It was 35 minutes(!) before the next number was called. At one point, there were 15 people in the store with only TWO employees working. These employees still answer phones, respond to the front door when someone rings the bell to get in and cross-check each other's paperwork. Situation isn't helped by people who don't know what they want and eat away 15+ minutes of these guys' time asking questions about guns and holsters. 1 hour and 15 minutes later, I walked out with my new gun. And.. situation was nearly as bad when I first purchased a few weeks ago. If you have hours & hours to burn and want to save a little $$ on a gun, this place is for you. read more

I have experienced very long wait times but felt it was worth it because the customer service was good and the savings were decent. Update: I was contacted by the VP Mike M who stated that Proforce had made some poor decisions when handling the incident and he wanted to do what he could to make it right. Mike paid me the 600 dollars interest plus an additional 200 for time and inconvenience He agreed that this didn't make up for the event, but he would help me find some M1s and help me out with the price when I found some I wanted. Mike listened to me in reference to the bad service from the floor staff and stated they realize there is/was a problem and he believes it has been corrected. Pros: Price is very good, and cheaper than you will ever find on line or at Turners or any other gun dealer. Cons: If time is money to you, then prepare to throw away 1-2 hours away from your life waiting to buy a gun. I went there last week and waited 30 minutes to buy a gun. I got impatient and left the store. Only 2-3 workers working, and on the average a gun transaction, transfer or customer spends anywhere from 20 minutes to 1 hours. Oh, by the way, back in 2006, I bought a Bushmaster AR-15 from ProForce. I completed all of the paper works and long story short, They gave me another officer's AR. Different Serial Numbers than the one I paid for. Luckily I caught it, when I went to send in my warranty card to Bushmaster. Price is important, but Service is key. You get what you pay for. Perhaps an Appointment time or log will help. EX. Have a sale person or two strictly designate to sales: Make an appointment and show up and your salesperson will be ready to serve you. read more

I have been shopping at Pro Force for many years and I would half to say I have always received outstanding service from the entire staff, especially Mikey, Jake and Mark. Today when I was there I noticed they are now doing appointments to purchase and pick up items, this will even speed up the process more.
