First let me say how absolutely great the entire staff is; everyone was very cool--engaged, interested, and very helpful. I called ahead of time and spoke with Mikey, who told me I could walk on without an appointment. She was very nice. When I arrived at the store, I was greeted by Tyler, who set out to show me everything I wanted to see, make suggestions when I asked, and offer great insight on things I didn't understand. He was great! Spent about two hours with me and had the patience of a saint--a total pro at customer service, and very knowledgeable about the products. I walked out of the store very satisfied with the purchase I had intended to make, as well as a few more items. I couldn't help myself--the prices are the best I've seen any place! I returned 10 days later to pick up my firearms and some ammo and was greeted by Jeremiah, who also was awesome. Jeremiah was extremely helpful and patient, making great recommendations on supplementary items, and took great care of me with ammo and also making a change to a magazine well on a firearm I'd purchased. He also helped me outa the store with everything. This store has a great selection, knowledgeable and great staff, and insanely low prices. Terrible store. Terrible customer service, long wait times to just turn you away in 30 seconds. Some of the employees are not knowledgeable about their weapons, they are not friendly and they mainly carry LE guns only. Yes they have good deals, I'd rather give my money to a store( bullet barn, turners) that care about their customers. I went to this store to buy a gun 3 times waited an hour minimum to just be turned away in 30 sec because they don't carry much of a selection for civilians. The guys working the counter are nice and friendly. Definitely no sense of urgency to get to the other customers waiting in line behind you. But these guys are probably hourly, so what do they care. They also waste a lot of time going to the back to get a manager to approve paperwork, I think if you've worked there long enough, you could figure it out on your own like other shops do. Unless you're buying something that gets you an LEO discount (Glocks) or your looking for something "off Roster", don't go here. The prices really aren't any better than anywhere else. I waited an hour and a half for a 5 minute pick-up. It wasn't always this way. I use to get in and out very quickly. The biggest problem is Davidson's (the owning company) refuses to open anymore shops. So every LEO in Southern CA comes here. Open more shops and only deal in LEO items if you don't want to anger the retailers you distribute to. By dealing with LEO only, you're really not stealing customers from these other retail shops. Or how about a pick-up/parts only counter. Why should a customer wait twice? Once to buy and again to pick-up? I don't think they care to address these issues, as I discussed these exact issues with the manager 3 years ago. Too bad. As a "gun guy", I would definitely spend more money there, but standing around and holding a number for an hour, just doesn't interest me. To customers, Being a former employee ( Left due to personal relocation reasons) I can give you a little insight on your biggest complaint. Wait time- There is a lengthy procedure that Proforce must follow to make sure that they are in compliance with ATF/DOJ. There are to main reasons there is " LONG" wait times. First reason is that 80% of the time a customer does not know what they want so the employee has to show them a Varity of firearms they want to see ( which are in different sections of the store)/ or they want the Proforce staff to explain the " bells and whistles" of the firearms. That alone take 20 minutes and 2nd reason the wait is " LONG" is because the 4473 needs to be checked by 2 managers to make sure there are no mistakes. Just to give you a ratio on an average every 1 in 3rd customer has to redo the 4473 2 to 3 times because they make a crucial mistake( ex: Writing a wrong birthday, checking a wrong box, misspelling birth place, etc.). In Mid 2015 Proforce decided to Cater to their customers complaints ( as any Great business does ) and install a waiting room with a tv ( cable included) , a fancy coffee maker, and snacks for their customer , which is all complimentary. All this was provided because of the two reasons I listed above about the wait times. I hope this helps and gives a little insight to the customers who are rating this business less than what they really deserve. Their lower prices are NOT WORTH THE WAIT & HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!! Their 10-Day Waiver says print or type. When you bring it in and wait 90 minutes to get your gun they rudely tell you the date must be Typed for DOJ. They don't care if you took the day off from work and drove 200 miles. The same long line applies for a quick purchase of a holster or some other retail item that they stock. Wow, what a disappointment. This was my first time here and I don't think I'll be back. I checked in at 10:30 am and was advised it would be about an hour wait. About an hour and a half later I asked where my name was on the list and they said there was four people ahead of me. I waited another hour and a half and again asked where my name was on the list. Again I was advised there was four people ahead of me. I advised the gentleman that people have come in after me that had no appointment and we're already taken care of and he stated they had an appointment when I clearly saw they had no appointment. I saw a lot of people working there and I don't understand why it takes so long to take care of the customers. There weren't that many when I arrived. I guess bottom line, if you're retired, you'll be there a while. It appeared active law-enforcement were the ones being taken care of in a timely manner. read more

They have the cheapest prices for Glocks since they sell the "Blue Label". I am a long time customer and probably spent thousands of dollars at this location. Unfortunately, their customer service is lacking. You have to wait HOURS before you can buy something. They need more employees to facilitate the number of customers. In my most recently stop at the store, I wanted to pick up two magazines for one of my Glocks. I had to wait 2+ hours until someone helped me. I would have left but no one else has the magazines. What happens if another law enforcement store opens up and has better customer service? I think Proforce would lose a lot of business. I am not the only one who has experienced the 2+ hour wait.... Many of my coworkers have too and they have decided to go elsewhere. read more

While I can't speak for all of the staff who worked there, the one staff member who I encountered was extremely rude. Prices are better than most gun stores. Expect a long, long wait. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable, BUT they all work at a snails pace. No one here hustles and don't make any effort to serve customers quickly, resulting in long lines, long waits and a lot of frustration and anger. For the few dollars I saved on my purchase, I had to drive 40 miles three times before I finally got my gun. I finally received a call saying the gun I was on the wait list for months had arrived. Yesterday I called and a employee told me there is no appointments available and that I still need to wait in line to get the gun. He went on to tell me that I could show up the next day around noon but I would not be helped till possible closing (7pm). I agreed since I was going to be in the area anyways. So today I show up and another employee tells me they aren't taking anymore walk ins. I tried to explain what the first employee told me, but they didn't care. So I wasted my time driving there for nothing. Not to mention I already waited 4 hours when I was in line waiting to be put on the wait list for the gun and now I gotta wait more long hours just to do the paper work for the gun. LE only. Cool shop but had to wait 45 minutes in line to check out. Even the DMV figured out a long time ago that a numbering system is helpful. At least then you would be able to look around around while waiting for 2 employees to help the 20 people standing in line. Bottom line - way under staffed and poorly run. Savings not worth the wait. Spent nearly two hours to do just a pick up. Everything was paid for waited the ten days, no letter waiver. Just needed to sign to pick up. When I finally got help he agrees to help 2 other people wanting to do the same that just walked in 20 mins prior. Staff is nice but poorly mismanaged. I want to give this place 5 stars....I really do, but the last three visits have caused this review. Let me start by saying the prices are pretty low. You can't find any of their prices at a retail dealer. However, I've found the exact same prices at other law enforcement only firearm dealers. My main issue is that lines here are INCREDIBLY LONG....2 hours + at minimum. Sometimes there are only one or two employees working the floor and I can see several employees in the back. Now, I understand they are probably taking care of online orders or inventory, but when they see the floor is busy and people are getting irritated, they should head out and start helping out. I would rather go somewhere else and pay a little bit extra but be in and out within an hour. Every time i've been there, there is usually atleast 10-15 people in line and more on weekends. AND there is no parking out front. On my most recent visit, I observed an employee dipping tobacco and spitting in a water bottle in front of customers which absolutely disgusted me and is completely unprofessional, many customers bring children, spouses or friends - leave the dipping outside. That same employee has given me incorrect information before and completely lacks customer service skills. I do not want to say the employee's name or describe the employee as it would most certainly get them reprimanded. I personally, would like to see some changes before I drive out there to buy any new firearms or equipment. read more

Hands down the best a good long drive for me but still well worth it won't find a better price for your guns it was my first time coming to Proforce the second I walked in the staff was very helpful no wait no nothing the guy who helped me out was Sam and was real quick to answer any questions I had I walked in knowing I want a glock 21sf he was more then happy to show me the regular glock 21 and the SF model just so I can see how much of a difference there was in the 2 models and of course I went with the SF model but regardless of the fact all the employees were super helpful and friendly paid for my glock in full and about to pick my bad boy up in a few days WILL definitely be coming back for my next purchase won't go anywhere else Thanks To All At Proforce! % read more

This place does allow GSSF members to purchase their Glocks using the GSSF coupon. It does get busy in here as they only have 3 guys working the counter. The best thing to do is arrive just before they open. I got there at 8:30am and there already was 3 people waiting before me. I was out the door by 9:50am. When you are purchasing your Glock, they allow you to purchase other items. I got 2 Glock 31 mags for $17 each. read more
