Stumbled upon this place about a year ago while looking for a particular rifle. Even though they did not have what I wanted in stock They were super informative And literally did everything in their reach to help acquire it. I love everything about this place. The service is always top tier!! The selection is better than a lot of shops and if they don't have what you are looking for they will get it. Only giving this place 2 stars because some employees here have been really nice to me here. However, I am writing this review from a while back with the focus being on the African American salesperson. Furthermore, I was recommended this place by a friend who I train with at Checkmat BJJ so I checked it out for some ammo. Being a new, inexperienced shooter with a new G17; I decided to pick up 300 rounds of 9mm. However, as soon as I came in, the man was being very passive aggressive and trying to belittle for me buying ammo. In the end, his attitude and demeanor really made him stand out as a douche. For this reason, this was the last time I came back and I actually have got my FFL03 which was a blessing in disguise. What an awesome firearm shopping experience! I honestly just stumbled upon this shop but I'm so glad I did. I am brand new to the firearms community so I've been going to many different store (Big box and smaller), and I have got to say that Whitten Sales has been the best experience so far. The guys here all have separate jobs outside, but are here because they truly love educating customers about firearms selection and safety. I had the pleasure of working with Chris and Byron when I came in for the first time. Chris was extremely patient with me and was showing me different choices and educating me for about 45 minutes (even past closing time!). Never at ONCE did I feel like I was being pressured to buy anything and the amount of firearms he let me get my hands on and try out with the utmost patience was par none. I had a specific budget in mind and Chris was so professional in his sensitivity to my limited budget - I honestly very much appreciate this coming from a corporate sales background myself. Byron is amazing! I first met him at the OC Gun show in 2016, purchased my first firearm from him and haven't looked back. He is our family "gun guy" - you know, the that friends and family ask, "Do you know a guy that (fill in the blank)?" He is always the first person myself or any of my family members recommend. He offers personal service with amazing prices! Like he once told me, "At least give him the chance to beat the other guys price!" If he can, he will and if he can't he is humble enough to tell you. I came here in order to take my FSC test and it went very well. The staff was very helpful and the store was very organized. The staff was very kind and will come to you right and even who to this this tough time they knew exactly what things I needed and the information that they should provide for taking the FSC test and purchasing their products. I purchased an AR-15 from them on the last week of May & it was supposed to come with 3 additional Magpul magazines as part of the package deal. The employees there were helpful, knowledgeable, & they handled the paperwork quickly & efficiently. When I picked up my AR-15 12 days later they said that their Magpul mags were out of stock but they should arrive in a few days & they'll ship them to my address. I find it odd that the mags weren't reserved with my AR-15 but thought nothing of it at the time. A week later I texted their business number asking about the status of those mags, since no one answered my phone calls, athey said they have alternative mags that they can ship to me, plus they'll text me the shipping number. Fast forward to present day & still no call/text from them. I understand with the COVID-19 panic & the recent civil unrest that things have gotten hectic but still. read more

Simple review. Byron and Matt are cool. There was another guy there that i didn't get the name of (Adam?) but he was also cool and informed me of what i would be getting into if I tried to install the Juggernaut Hellfire without prior experience building a lower. Very helpful; got in and out quickly. Best part about them is that Byron posts the new stuff that he gets on his Facebook feeds even when the store is not open (they do have limited store hours) so everyone has an equal chance to line up the next day for items that are hard to get these days. To note, I actually came early and did not have to wait in line. I was finally able to get a Glock 17 after months of waiting and even picked up a mck roni which I have fallen in love with. Wish they were a little closer to me but maybe it is good that they are far so I'm not tempted to blow all my money on this stuff. read more

Me and the hubby were looking for a home protection gun, we have three young kids so gun safety was really important. All the guys there were super helpful and knowledgeable in showing us all of our options and recommending the Springfield XD9 since it was basically like a glock but with safety measures. We were sold ! My hubby took the safety test passed and now we are just waiting around 13 days for his background to clear so we can come in and pick up our gun! We are so pleased with the service we received here they were all very nice, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with all of our questions and concerns. Fantastic gun shop! Stopped by yesterday on the suggestion of my brother just to see what they had...wasn't expecting much. After perusing the website, I was hopeful they would have at least one handgun for purchase. This place is pretty small but not too hard to find. Everyone in there was welcoming and friendly; you'll read about some shops that have guys with attitudes but not here. There were a few people ahead of me and I watched them all treated with patience and respect. When my turn was up, I spoke to the guy at the counter and he walked me through what the options were. They had several options at different price points and I settled on a Springfield XD .45... I originally was hoping for the 9mm version but I'm super excited to be able to get this at a great price. Firearm enthusiasts know how crazy these past months have been which can sometimes lead to hours spent waiting for someone to notice you or process a transaction. Not at Whitten Sales. Byron's staff is on the ball with each customer and provides quick yet attentive service. Byron's also implemented a nice queue system of sorts that has all of the paperwork completed and ready to go by the time you sit down with Byron and conduct the final transactional piece. let me start off by saying that Matt and Adam were both very informative and just seem like some good men. So I needed a magpull pistol grip and had randomly heard about this shop and its local and would be convenient I had never shopped here. So showed up on a Monday at around 2:30 pm. The place looked dead. So I knock on the door and Byron answers the door and i tell him what i need. As I'm seeing the pistol grip I need rite over Byron's shoulder behind him, he super rudely shut the door and told me to come back Tuesday between 4-8. fast forward a few weeks and Byron happens to have a pistol I'm looking for so I go back and purchase is. i should have seen the writing. I cant go into to the exact details. when i picked the item up Byron was the cockiest and rudest business owner I've ever witnessed. If I could have gotten the pistol elsewhere, I would have ask for my money back and walked out. Hours are Tuesday and Thursday 4-8:00. He did give me a good price (which he reminded me of) but I will never give that guy another penny! The impression i got out of that guy is that he's got what you need come back when I might help you if your cool enough and I feel like it. Yea BTW cool guy Turners had that peace but I wanted to give your shop a chance to get on the good guy list. You obviously didn't make it and Buy the way we can walk into turner's 7 days a week. Byron compared his part time opened shop to Turners is why I say that. Dude acts like he expects you to kiss his ass. Again Matt and Adam seem like very good men. I listen to them talk with kindness and respect to other costumers. Not trying to make themselves look all hi and mighty.. so if you like asshole owners and shops that only open 12-16 hours a week, this place is for you. I was surprised at the location to start, so close to me. The GPS decided to send me around the back through the housing tract, which doesn't have an entrance that way. It's in a business complex with plenty of parking. Like a genius, I decided to go during this COVID-19 time, which just happens to be one of the busiest times for a place like this. I was helped by Adam, who took his time explaining different options they had to offer. He gave me my test and throughly went thought every detail of the choices I made. Even though he was trying hard to go as fast as possible so that he could help the next customer, he didn't make me feel rushed at all. I made my purchase and waited 12 days for pick up.
