I just had a new HVAC unit installed today in conjunction with their Costco deal - as of this…read moreevening it is blowing cold air and they didn't put my old thermostat back on - when I called the 24 hr line it was a less than reassuring experience...I got sucked in by the chance to finance the unit instead of having my dependable guy do the same unit but paying in full ....so far I'm not happy &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&& I sent emails and texts to all I had spoken to and this am a tech came out and after opening the service panel found a couple things that should have been addressed I assume at install....he stayed to make sure that system was actually blowing warm air which is appreciated....I am changing stars but honestly will be on guard as I am concerned by the plethora of other less than complimentary reviews....it is obvious though I have no problem updating my review

Airco Service could not care less about their customers. I once again contacted them and they said…read morethey would pass it off to the project manager Jared. Guess who has still not contacted me...Jared. It is June 1, 2026 and I am getting ready to contact them again. I am done being nice and patient. I still do not have a manual for a 7,400.00 furnace and still have not had the city inspector back to make sure it passed. I will also be finding out what recourse I have to get this taken care of. When I have, I am done. I will be telling everyone I know NOT to use Airco Service for anything. I would give zero stars if possible.

So my outside unit wasn't shutting off , but the inside unit was. I texted Allan and he said to…read moregive it a little tap on the top and see if it would shut off.. It didn't... He said how about Tuesday early AM for a visit. I said great! Sunday morning... the unit finally shut off... But the house had started to warm up to 81 degrees... Ya.. It shut off sometime overnight and never came back on.. Upon taking his advice to give it a little tap I gave it a little tap and it rattled on and started cooling.. Crisis adverted... He showed up on Tuesday and took a look at the unit and sure enough the relay in the unit was toast. He replaced it, cleaned out the rest of the unit and here I am in a comfy 70 degree house enjoying a working AC unit! Asked him other questions to make sure I wouldn't get hosed in the next few years and he answered every question. Great guy, knew a friend of mine (small world), and even better.... BOOOMMMEERR SOOONNNEEERRR! (he's an ou fan like me.. ) Give him a shout!

I had two experiences with AB Service Company…read more The first was fair; there was a blown capacitor in my mother's house, and the repair was completed with costs that were within expectations. The second interaction was disappointing. Below is a paraphrased transcript. Me: Thank you for visiting my mother's house, what was the problem? AB: The entire unit needs to be replaced including the furnace. Me: The entire unit? AB: Yes, the unit is over forty years old and none of the parts are available on the market. Me: The house was built in 1986, so the unit can't be older than 31 years old. AB: Well, it's still ancient. Me: What's not working? AB: The fan unit is shot. Me: But the compressor and rest of the system still functions? Are you sure we can't find another one? AB: Nope, it has to be complete job, over $6,000. No other way. Me: Thanks for letting me know. After another phone call to another repair shop, a $25 transformer was replaced along with two hours of labor fixing the diagnostics that were done previously. That convinced me that should I need future HVAC services, I will go elsewhere.
