This is the siding that was damaged by this "company" when taking a sample of our siding, which was NEVER replaced/repaired.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR SANITY WITH THIS "business". We hired them for roof replacement, siding replacement, and interior repairs back in September 2023. To date, they have replaced our roof, that is ALL. We still have a 3' x 4' hole in our ceiling where they removed a section in order to assess damage. Several months and numerous phone calls, initiated by me, and the work has not been completed. I made several attempts via phone to speak with the owner, but I might as well have tried calling Jimmy Hoffa. No call backs and VERY few email responses from the "owner" has resulted in this negative review. I'm certain this so called business will respond to this review with even more untrue statements stating that they tried to work with us to make our remaining repairs their "priority". But 2 years after the start of our project and months of customer initiated communications is way to late in the game to attempt to make my project a "priority". I would have given negative stars if there was that option. A word to the wise...... look elsewhere for any repairs needed, unless you have plenty of time to babysit this "company" until the work is completed (if ever).

I chose this company because of the reviews and them being located in stl. My experience has been horrendous. First, let's start with my salesman...he was let go a few weeks after I signed (April) the paperwork. I had to get a hold of him for him to let me know that he no longer worked there. Told me to write bad reviews to get a hold of someone (which I don't do and this was the beginning...have now resorted to this). I finally get a hold of Aaron ( I guess head salesman. Nice guy, seems frustrated as well but too much on his plate) I was notified my sales guy was let go bc of drug and alcohols issue. Great, had this guy in my house. Touching stuff, shaking hands. Get reassigned another salesman. Doesn't reach out immediately, text me 2 days later to let me know they will be dropping off In 3 weeks and they will schedule the roof.(this is late July). Then one day stuff is dropped off in front of garage. No text no nothing. A week goes by. Heard nothing. Then the gutter people come to replace out of the blue(no texts). So they change my gutters before the roof, I'm out of town, fiancée trying to deal with it. Get a text from my new sales guy that they'll replace the roof Saturday August 23rd. Great! I'll be home from out of town for work. They show up Friday 0630...banging on door. Fiancée home with kid and dog. Not great. Call Aaron. Apologized which I do believe him. Still not a word from my new sales guy. Get home they finish...don't clean up..I paid for the magnet..find crap all over yard...multiple nails and a nail roll right under my steps to my back yard which I let my dog out of. Send pics to Aaron. He comes the next day. Still debris on my roof. Sand composite all over by my drain which will definitely cause my sewer to back up. We asked them to try to be cognizant which I get it can't be totally clean. But you pay for services. You shouldn't have to clean up after something you pay for insurance or not ...was told a guy be coming by this week to clean up and not a soul comes by to clean. Still stuff on roof finding nails as we go. This has been the worst experience. I understand a tornado hit late April early May...figured some people needed to get taken care of but I would understand. I try to be nice as I possibly can, I'm a veteran of the military and know people need to be helped in dire situations before others. I went from April -August being patient. Giving the benefit of the doubt but i guess this is what I'll have to resort to. I would not recommend this company or their services. Roof was done in a day but you can tell it looked rushed. I understand it has to settle a bit but come on.

This is the envelope. They lied to the Attorney General of Missouri and the BBB

10 months. Insurance paid and we paid. Still no roof or any form of actual communication. Pick another company. These guys are awful.

I hired John Beal Roofing in April 2025 for a gazebo metal roof installation. The project was not…read morecompleted until January 2026, and the process involved repeated delays, missed appointments, and significant communication issues. Throughout the project, there were multiple occasions when I was told crews would arrive and they did not, resulting in lost time, schedule disruptions, and frustration. There were also repeated delays due to various issues, including vehicle problems and product-related issues. The project had several ordering and communication problems. The first product delivered was the wrong color, and the company acknowledged that error. The replacement product appeared different from what had been represented in emails from their representative. I had not received an actual color sample, and after the delays already experienced, I accepted the color to avoid further delays. However, additional delays continued due to issues with the skylight, including miscommunication regarding the order and a damaged product being received. Communication throughout the project was one of my biggest concerns. I was often not kept updated on progress or changes. There were multiple occasions when crews arrived without advance notice, despite being specifically instructed that I needed to be notified by phone or text before anyone came to my property. Additionally, I was unable to communicate directly with the onsite crew and had to rely on third parties to relay questions, instructions, and information, which added another challenge to an already difficult process. During one unannounced visit, the crew left my gate open while they were still on my property, and my dogs got loose. Thankfully, no one was injured, but I sustained a foot injury while trying to retrieve them. I notified the company and provided updates while seeking medical care, including a specialist visit. Despite being informed of the incident and my ongoing medical care, I never received acknowledgment of what happened, an apology, or any follow-up from the company. I am still dealing with residual issues from this injury. While the roof has now been installed, the overall experience was far more stressful than it should have been. My recommendation to anyone considering using John Beal Roofing is to make sure all scheduling expectations, communication requirements, and project details are clearly documented upfront and followed throughout the process.

See picture. Hoping me and or John Beal don't get charged for taking this off my property as they are the ones that left it here. John Beal probably just needs to find another dumpster service company. Day scheduled for roof replacement went well. Showed up early. Looking like a one day job. Updated rating to 4 stars.

We had several quotes (few in the 6 digits). My husband and I just couldn't agree on which one to choose from. The quotes were either too high or did not on design, and sometimes both. I called STL Design and Build Design, setup an appointment as my last resort. STL Design sent Tom Levinson. Mr. Levinson arrived earlier than time with his assistant. This is definitely a rare. We went through the areas for remodeling. Tom sat me down and listen to all I wanted to do. Then it came down to the details and pricing. The wants an can't live without. We finished with an estimated quote that we were very happy with. Tom was wonderful. He gave me sound advice on my selections for the kitchen remodel. He went through the cost, time-line, and process. Tom went to warehouses with me for selections on the items. Matthew Pevehouse, thank goodness for him. I had a family emergency out-of-state. Matt took care of everything for us. The whole crew were wonderful. Matt took pictures and kept me up to date. If there was an issue it was quickly resolved. My husband and I are thrilled with the results. The look is absolutely fabulous, the craftsmanship and quality of products excellent, and done on time. Thank You STL for a wonderful experience. I was under the impression that these were direct employees of his, his crew. Basically he was acting as a general contractor that hired another company or hired some people looking for work. Not really sure here. I realize I made some changes, but they were clear and written in a revised proposal. I didn't want the doors painted, then I got a phone call that they were painted. Sure, he didn't charge me for this, but that is proper after all. I didn't want the trim painted, and paid for that, because I missed it in the proposal. My fault. They also painted the hardware for opening/closing the windows, those were metal and need the proper paint, I did have them take that off. The house didn't have flooring in, so I was asked about drop cloths, I said use them but don't worry too much about a few paint splatters. However, I did indicate that I wasn't removing the slate flooring and to be careful. Here is a big fail, many paint spots. He tried to have them clean it up. Now the floor is sticky, you can here the soles of your shoes and feel it too. He tried cleaning that up, when it wasn't done, he offered to do it again. I really felt he had done enough. I'm still trying to find a way to clean this up, because it's sticky any dust or what not sticks to it. It's really upsetting, as I loved this detail. I will look to bring in some professionals and see what this will set me back. There's also spots on the bathroom floors, which were also said that I wasn't removing. And those doors that were painted, they weren't dry and were closed, now that paint has popped off, so I have to touch that up, or maybe just start replacing doors. I realize also this review is a year since the work was done, I was in the middle of doing the rest of the work this last year. I almost considered them for doing the kitchen rehab. I really feel I dodged a bullet there. Noah, is a nice man, I think his intentions are good. However, the whole interior project was a mess, left me very frustrated, and I have projects left to do because of it. I don't think he checked up on the work as it was being done, and I don't think he looked at it after until I contacted him. Paint shouldn't have been on that slate, nor should you stick to your floor. I also had to point on paint spots on light fixtures, that should've been cleaned. Just no.
