This is the siding that was damaged by this "company" when taking a sample of our siding, which was NEVER replaced/repaired.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY, OR SANITY WITH THIS "business". We hired them for roof replacement, siding replacement, and interior repairs back in September 2023. To date, they have replaced our roof, that is ALL. We still have a 3' x 4' hole in our ceiling where they removed a section in order to assess damage. Several months and numerous phone calls, initiated by me, and the work has not been completed. I made several attempts via phone to speak with the owner, but I might as well have tried calling Jimmy Hoffa. No call backs and VERY few email responses from the "owner" has resulted in this negative review. I'm certain this so called business will respond to this review with even more untrue statements stating that they tried to work with us to make our remaining repairs their "priority". But 2 years after the start of our project and months of customer initiated communications is way to late in the game to attempt to make my project a "priority". I would have given negative stars if there was that option. A word to the wise...... look elsewhere for any repairs needed, unless you have plenty of time to babysit this "company" until the work is completed (if ever).

I chose this company because of the reviews and them being located in stl. My experience has been horrendous. First, let's start with my salesman...he was let go a few weeks after I signed (April) the paperwork. I had to get a hold of him for him to let me know that he no longer worked there. Told me to write bad reviews to get a hold of someone (which I don't do and this was the beginning...have now resorted to this). I finally get a hold of Aaron ( I guess head salesman. Nice guy, seems frustrated as well but too much on his plate) I was notified my sales guy was let go bc of drug and alcohols issue. Great, had this guy in my house. Touching stuff, shaking hands. Get reassigned another salesman. Doesn't reach out immediately, text me 2 days later to let me know they will be dropping off In 3 weeks and they will schedule the roof.(this is late July). Then one day stuff is dropped off in front of garage. No text no nothing. A week goes by. Heard nothing. Then the gutter people come to replace out of the blue(no texts). So they change my gutters before the roof, I'm out of town, fiancée trying to deal with it. Get a text from my new sales guy that they'll replace the roof Saturday August 23rd. Great! I'll be home from out of town for work. They show up Friday 0630...banging on door. Fiancée home with kid and dog. Not great. Call Aaron. Apologized which I do believe him. Still not a word from my new sales guy. Get home they finish...don't clean up..I paid for the magnet..find crap all over yard...multiple nails and a nail roll right under my steps to my back yard which I let my dog out of. Send pics to Aaron. He comes the next day. Still debris on my roof. Sand composite all over by my drain which will definitely cause my sewer to back up. We asked them to try to be cognizant which I get it can't be totally clean. But you pay for services. You shouldn't have to clean up after something you pay for insurance or not ...was told a guy be coming by this week to clean up and not a soul comes by to clean. Still stuff on roof finding nails as we go. This has been the worst experience. I understand a tornado hit late April early May...figured some people needed to get taken care of but I would understand. I try to be nice as I possibly can, I'm a veteran of the military and know people need to be helped in dire situations before others. I went from April -August being patient. Giving the benefit of the doubt but i guess this is what I'll have to resort to. I would not recommend this company or their services. Roof was done in a day but you can tell it looked rushed. I understand it has to settle a bit but come on.

This is the envelope. They lied to the Attorney General of Missouri and the BBB

10 months. Insurance paid and we paid. Still no roof or any form of actual communication. Pick another company. These guys are awful.

My overall experience with Advocate Construction was very good. Initially the company…read morerepresentative was quite responsive when detailing what needed to be done and what the cost would be. He committed to keeping the costs within the amount that would only require us to include our deductible amount paid to the insurance company. That was all we had to pay out of pocket. It did take Advocate four months to complete the work. The work was done professionally, and the workers did an excellent job on the roof and gutters that were replaced. One glitch did occur with the gutters, however. We had requested 6-inch gutters, and the workers installed 5-inch gutters instead. Apparently, there was a communications issue between our contractor and the gutter supply company. Advocate did get that corrected at no additional cost to us. Also, in a final walk through with the company representative we pointed out a couple of things that needed to be corrected. A trim piece had not been properly secured and an exhaust pipe that was to be painted was not painted. We have been waiting for those to be completed about three months now. At that time, we also requested an estimate on new trim to be installed around our garage door. We are still waiting for that too.

We had an amazing experience with Advocate Construction! From the very first meeting, our…read morerepresentative, Carter S. was wonderful and easy to work with! He was knowledgeable and able to walk us through the process of making a claim with our insurance and selecting colors for our roof and siding. We had both replaced due to storm damage. It was easy to set up the times for the work to be completed. The roofing crew was finished in 1 day and the siding crew was finished in 2! Thanks to Advocate and Carter, we have gotten a lot of compliments on our home and look forward to doing business with them in the future! We highly recommend Advocate Construction and request Carter S. as your rep!

After a successful and responsive refinishing project I had high hopes for painting of my interior…read morehome. All started well enough, and we got things started. I was under the impression that these were direct employees of his, his crew. Basically he was acting as a general contractor that hired another company or hired some people looking for work. Not really sure here. I realize I made some changes, but they were clear and written in a revised proposal. I didn't want the doors painted, then I got a phone call that they were painted. Sure, he didn't charge me for this, but that is proper after all. I didn't want the trim painted, and paid for that, because I missed it in the proposal. My fault. They also painted the hardware for opening/closing the windows, those were metal and need the proper paint, I did have them take that off. The house didn't have flooring in, so I was asked about drop cloths, I said use them but don't worry too much about a few paint splatters. However, I did indicate that I wasn't removing the slate flooring and to be careful. Here is a big fail, many paint spots. He tried to have them clean it up. Now the floor is sticky, you can here the soles of your shoes and feel it too. He tried cleaning that up, when it wasn't done, he offered to do it again. I really felt he had done enough. I'm still trying to find a way to clean this up, because it's sticky any dust or what not sticks to it. It's really upsetting, as I loved this detail. I will look to bring in some professionals and see what this will set me back. There's also spots on the bathroom floors, which were also said that I wasn't removing. And those doors that were painted, they weren't dry and were closed, now that paint has popped off, so I have to touch that up, or maybe just start replacing doors. I realize also this review is a year since the work was done, I was in the middle of doing the rest of the work this last year. I almost considered them for doing the kitchen rehab. I really feel I dodged a bullet there. Noah, is a nice man, I think his intentions are good. However, the whole interior project was a mess, left me very frustrated, and I have projects left to do because of it. I don't think he checked up on the work as it was being done, and I don't think he looked at it after until I contacted him. Paint shouldn't have been on that slate, nor should you stick to your floor. I also had to point on paint spots on light fixtures, that should've been cleaned. Just no.

The owner whom I met while walking the block responded to my request for bid immediately and all follow up was quick, thorough, transparent and personal. He responded that very day. They communicated by text, email and phone and I could choose what worked best for me in any given exchange. It is so easy to get business done when a company uses all the tech available to them to reach their clients. I work full time and do not have the time to deal with any Mickey-Mouse operation who doesn't text or use other forms of communication, or takes forever to respond in 2024. 2. They are local, so I trusted them more. I was worried about shady contractors, so I liked that they had a local business address and staff who answer a phone, email paperwork etc. They also worked within what my insurance budget. Everything from the bid to the bill was above board, not shady! 3. The crew were the most hardworking I have ever seen. And, it was so hot that week! ‍They cleaned up after each session and were professional, polite and most of all very kind people. They kept their work contained in my yard and parked properly near my house in the street. They didn't encroach upon the neighbors' property. I received no calls or complaints. They kept all their equipment in order and they were not in our way. They parked their own dumpster to toss the old roof, and someone even came quietly after dark to retrieve it. There was no evidence of their trash, not a speck - impressive! 4. When it came time for me to pay, they offered to pick up the check personally because I was worried about mailing it. What service!!! I am a big fan! I highly recommend this company because they are easy to do business with and their builders are upstanding people. CALL THEM FOR A ROOF!!!

I signed a contract with Stonebridge Roofing on 11/3/2025, and my large roofing/siding project was…read morefinished on 5/27/26. Now that it's been a couple months, I wanted to share my experience working with the company. Throughout the project, I found the sales rep, office staff, and management to be courteous, professional, and generally responsive. When I reported concerns, Stonebridge agreed to fix the issues and worked through many of the problems I identified. Unfortunately, the installation side of the project was much more challenging. The biggest issues in my experience were with workmanship and quality control. Although Stonebridge has quality control people, it often seemed that completed work was not thoroughly inspected before crews left the job site. Instead, many issues were discovered only after I identified them and brought them to Stonebridge. Some examples of the issues I discovered included: - Step flashing had not been installed in one area where the roof meets a wall; wood was exposed. - A bathroom exhaust vent opening was completely covered over with siding. - Exterior light fixture mounting blocks and trim pieces were either installed crooked, not fully seated, or missing altogether. - Loose, bulging, and damaged siding in multiple areas. - Exposed nails through flashing, and bent drip edge. - Multiple areas where the roofing, siding, flashing, fascia, or trim installation required correction or replacement due to poor workmanship. These examples represent only a portion of a multi-page punch list I was asked to create by Stonebridge to document the issues. Another recurring challenge was communication between sales/project management and the onsite crews. I often discussed specific install details or repair issues with sales or office personnel, but many times that information was not communicated to the crews performing the work. Installers would arrive without a clear understanding of previous discussions, requiring the same issues to be explained multiple times. An additional challenge was the language barrier with the non-English speaking onsite crews. By itself, this would not have been a concern if there had been stronger supervision and communication from Stonebridge project management. However, when questions arose about workmanship or repairs, it was very difficult to communicate directly with the installers. My goal with this review is to provide an honest account of my experience so prospective customers know what they may encounter. If you choose Stonebridge, my advice is to stay actively involved throughout your project, inspect the workmanship carefully, ask questions, and don't assume completed work has already been reviewed or inspected. In my experience, Stonebridge was willing to respond after problems were identified, but much of the responsibility for finding those problems fell on me, the homeowner. This ultimately broke down my confidence in the quality of Stonebridge's workmanship.
