Interesting this place has 5 stars. They must pay Yelp or their Sat dispatcher/locksmith just has major issues. I locked myself out of my apartment and when I called, I got a crazy quote of $150 (he said "because of the rain"? It literally just started to rain when I called!) Also, how much do you want to bet the guy was going to charge me TAX plus SERVICE FEE ON TOP when he arrived? The rude guy who answered the phone said he would be the one coming and that he and it would take him 45min. I asked him to please hurry and like someone with absolutely NO social skills, he responded, "I'm not going to go over the speed limit and get into an accident..." Nope nope nope! Don't do it. I went 3 separate times, finally found them open and there on my 3rd time (luckily I was in the area all 3 times). All I needed was a copy of a key that said 'do not duplicate' on it, the guy tried to charge me $20 for 2 keys. I asked what's the price for one key he said $20 because I guess he said he was 'giving me a deal w/ 2 keys'?! Sounds sketchy. Wow! Great service. I have always had great service with pro key. I only come here for keys to be made. Today I made a special trip to get keys cut for a new front door lock. I was already at Lowes earlier when we bought the lock. Instead of getting the keys made at Lowes I went out of my way to come to the Granada hills location next to trader joes. I was bummed because it was closed. I called the number on the kiosk and spoke to the owner. He was super cool and very friendly. He offered to come to the kiosk and cut 8 keys for me. I can't believe that there is still service this great out there. It was not about the profit ( how much profit is there in coming down to make 8 keys) but about the customer. This feels like a scam. It's not an honest business, and there's no communication from the beginning. I'm a military veteran, and my wife and I placed our trust in this company. This company broke their ethics by being dishonest with the price upfront. They quoted $400 a door for 3 doors, and then charged $3170.00 for three doors. Also they had a $500.00 deposit that was not communicated as non-refundable. There was also a service fee for a quote that was also not communicated at the start of business. This business is dishonest, unethical and likes to take advantage of military spouses and veterans. Please think twice before taking his business, and if you do make sure everything is on the table before you continue doing business with them. It's a life lesson that I learned, and I hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. I served my country to be scammed, lied to, and taken advantage of. I tried to resolve the issue, but was ignored. The absolutely most ridiculous thing just happened. In November 2017 we got this company out to our new office to give us a quote for a bunch of new security locks. We got a quote for around $4,000, accepted it, paid the down payment, guy came two weeks later, installed them, we paid them, all good. Today, mind it's Thursday April 23rd 2020. YES 2020!!! 3.5 years later a guy named Sean called our office in the rudest of manners and claims, and I quote "Now that we have time we keep looking at our records and it's time you guys pay $4,003.40". Are you kidding me??? Then follows an email from Sean and he pretty much states the same. Needless to say we have proof of payment etc. I do realize it's difficult times at the moment but this is just plain ridiculous. Get your accounting straight!
