I have tried so many nail salons all over Siesta Key and Sarasota mainland. Finally after several years of going from place to place I have found a salon that is worth the trip from Siesta Key. I have gone two times so far, and Julie has done my gel mani with pedi and eyebrows. She never lets me down. The nice thing about this place is not necessarily the cheerfulness of the place, the drinks gratis, or the nice service from all the staff, but the fact that everyone speaks English well. I have noticed the staff talks and makes conversation with the client which is nice compared to listening to them talking to themselves in another language and/or being ignored. After seeing Julie just once when I went back 3 weeks later for my appointment she asked about my granddaughters and we talked most of the time I was with her. This is so refreshing. When I return again this fall to snowbird again I will be returning to this Salon. (Julie if you read this you promised you'd be here when I return. Excellent job on my gel manicure with a fireworks design in honor of July 4th. Great job Tracey! The pedicure and as relaxing and painless. Best part b sides the massages and the pampering was the House Drink. Pretty and delicious for the over 21 crowd. This salon has plenty of English speaking staff and they all are smiling and humorous. There's televisions everywhere which is really nice to relax and enjoy watch while being pampered. Prices are reasonable. Mani and pedi $35. Gel mani with regular Pedi is $50. Add $5 for French. Nail art is really creative too. read more

This is not my first time visiting this establishment but it may well be my last. I went in to get a pedicure and the pedicure was 1) incomplete, 2) poorly done and 3) the young lady performing the pedicure didn't seem to be the least interested. A friend of mine sat next to me to get the same pedicure which started 10 minutes before mine and we both finished at the same time. And that includes the fact that the young lady giving me the pedicure stopped mid way to help fix another person's nail polish and she still finished at the same time as my friend. When I asked why I still had calluses and some of the nails weren't painted all the way, I was told I had a foot condition. My fingernails burned really badly and I kept pulling my hand away and she did not acknowledge. The woman next to me even pointed out that it was getting intense and started to smell like burning nail . I told her I would prefer if she wrapped them in alcohol instead and she laughed at me and told me no and made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed me in front of the rest of the people inside so I did not continue on with my nail appointment and left with half of my nails removed and the other half still on. read more

The first time I went there it was the worst experience in my 30 years of having my nails done. My toes were bleeding from her cutting down the sides of the nails and cuticles. After a few minutes I told her to stop- she continued to the point I grabbed my feet away from her. She told me she needed to finish I said no, I am sorry but you don't. Her acrylic fill was very rough and she was laughing about it and told me to relax. Relax, really??? The one positive thing is the polish did stay on well but I am still waiting for my big toe nail to grow back out. Several weeks later I decided to go back and give it a second chance. I walked in and specially asked not to have the same nail tech that I had before. The receptionist asked me to have a seat and someone would be right over - what do you know it was the same lady as last time that I specially asked NOT to have. She sat down and asked me if she knew me I said yes I was here several weeks ago. She started the pedicure and told me she needed to cut down my nails I said no thank you I'm good. Pedicure went fine after that. We I had her soaked off my acrylics to just get a gel manicure. I figured no pain and can not screw that up too bad. Boy was I wrong. I was there Saturday and this evening I went back to show them that 75% were peeled off. The receptionist looked at me and said did you get color #... I said yes. He replied "Oh, that's the problem. It always peels off". He then preceded to tell me that he will have someone soak the rest off but not to use OPI. I asked, "if you k ow you have a known problem with a color, then why not pull it"? She replied, "I don't know - people like it". They asked me who did my nails and I tell them and then I was asked to sit back down at her table. No thank you- even is enough. Needless to say I walked out and paid someone else to redo it. I hope this helps the next person save a lot of time - something I do not have a lot of to start with. read more

Do not come here! I asked for basic dip powder. The guy who did my nails did a horrible job. Uneven length, uneven color, lumpy, edges uneven. So they put me with someone else after i mentioned i wasn't happy and he all of a sudden got an attitude with me. The next lady fixed my dip manicure but rushed through entire service ,cut me twice with file, and cut herself and to stop the bleeding she dipped her bloody finger in the dip powder!!!!!! What?? At that point i about walked out. But i let her finish her half ass job and told manager. She was rude and unsympathetic to the fact that i was cut twice I should have told her about the bloody finger that was dipped in powder but i didn't. Both of them started to talk in their language in front of me probably cursing me out! Oh well. I will never be back. Beware. Go somewhere else. read more

July 28 first appointment 9:00 with Vivian. Been to her before and she does a very good job. Today she was on time and wore a mask. I may self also wore a mask. As Vivian worked on my nails another tech who I never saw before sat next to Vivian with NO mask on. She continued to talk the whole time. I felt ver uncountable. At one point the no mask tech got a phone call and started to talk. I said something to Vivian that I did not appreciate her sitting with us and she should move somewhere else. I also asked why she did not have a mask on. She was annoying and very obnoxious Very disappointed and after years of going to Pro nails I will not be returning. read more

5/10 out of 10 recommend this place but not at the same time. I went to get my nails done and the lady I got sucked Cregeen. Literally my friends nails looked so good they got like a full set of acrylics just like I did and their designs are a little bit more complicated than mine. This lady butchered my phalanges. I definitely don't think they were worth $70 it literally looks like I put my hand inside of a piñata full of frosting and sprinkles. And I asked for a pretty simple design and to havinsome sparkles on the tips of my fingers and having like almost a clear to a pinkish clear color. And I asked them if they had any more natural pinks and she got so mad and was like I just showed you the whole thing of colors. And then she brought over another thing and I finally picked one and literally she was so mad about it still and then she made my fingers look chunky. So yeah I think her name was Lynn or Leah somethings she's a little bit old and has short hair. 10 out of 10 don't recommend her as she'll make your fingers look like a ratchet cupcake. Nice, clean and large salon with a full bar. The only reason I gave it two stars is because I had a very sub par experience with a nail technician there. I was there with a small group and was the last to start my pedicure and the first to finish. Usually that's not a big deal but she rushed right through it, no foot massage or anything. When I sat down for the manicure I accidentally bumped my toe, she rolled her eyes at me and gave me attitude. I said "don't worry about it, no big deal" because she wasn't nice about it at all. My manicure was rushed and not well done with a lot of flaws. A couple of my friends had a great experience with the two nice male technicians but unfortunately, that was my first time there and probably my last. read more

Thuy in the front is an amazing manager who always fits me in. She always greets customers with a smile and never lets me down. Bi is my nail tech. He does INCREDIBLE work. My nails become master pieces. His attention to detail never fails. He is very talented and does amazing holiday nails and can do almost anything you find on Pinterest. I've been going to him every two weeks for 3 years religiously... The drinks are great and add to the experience. I've been here probably 4-5 times. The last 3 I made appts for the same guy, and each time he's been too busy to take me so I end up with some random. This last time really took it over the top. I was continuing to go since they had drinks on the house and did a ok job. Now I'm officially done. I went in for a gel color change. The guy argued with me to what I wanted for a good 15 minutes. Now I admit I should have just stood up and left. But I figured it's so easy, what could he do wrong? Then as he's filing my color off the top of my acrylic, he starts to flake off my acrylic. I ask him to soak the now ruin acrylic off or fill in that spot. He says he will when he get to gel off. We keep going. And going. And going. And now he's filing so much off it's burning. I pull my hand back and tell him to soak off the acrylic. He says there's no point because he'll just smooth it out. No need. I really should have left but now I'm half way done and it's 630pm. Then he tells me I need to do dip. And keeps pushing. And pushing. I don't like dip because it's never smooth on the edges and you have to totally remove it for a color change. I get my nails done almost weekly, I don't want to spend 2 hours every week on my nails. He tells me they don't have fresh acrylic, I should just let him do dip. He does a Very good job, he won't go on my cuticles. I told him to just do gel. Today is 3 days later. My fingers hurt, I have infection spots around my cuticles where he filed my cuticles too much, and I broke a nail if today and because my nail bed is so thin, it peeled off my nail bed. read more

Been going there a lot until today. I let the guy know I only wanted the $30 pedicure. I picked a color out. The person doing my pedicure told me he had a brighter color and said he would show me. I told him I like that one better it was a gel but he never told me it was going to cost more. When I went to pay for my pedicure it was $15 more I said, why is it more ? She said it was because they use the gel. I did not say anything I paid and walked out but I will not go back to that place for scanning me like that when he knew I only wanted a $30 pedicure and he should have told me and let me choose if I wanted to pay more. I've been coming to pro nails for quite sometime with my little baby. Unfortunately after this evening, I will never return again. I went in to get a mani/pedi/brow wax. (for the first time, kid free!) Not only was everything very rushed from the start, but my brow wax was done horribly. The worst I'd ever had. I literally cried when I saw what "Linda" did to them. (I'm really not a difficult girl) Completely uneven, pencil thin, and took almost half off on 1 side, THE DAY BEFORE MY FAMILY PHOTOS.... I'm sooo extremely upset inside, and there is NOTHING that can be done. She also smelled very badly of cigarette smoke. I called the shop, in which I was asked to come back inside. The girl looked just as mortified about my brows as I did, and even took pictures. She tried to draw them on for me, but I absolutely hate the way they look. At the end of all of this, They only offered me a 20 dollar gift card to come back, and an apology. I paid 15 for my brows... So 5 dollars more than what I paid, after completely ruining my eye brows the day before our yearly photos..... To me, that's not great customer service on top of it all... I was on business and had some time before dinner to get my nails done- they were breaking and needed to get "pretty". I found this salon from a customer Karen, whom I met while shopping in the area. She highly recommended Lynn, who was busy, so Thuy, the salon manager was happy to accomodate me. I am not from the area so I can't speak to price competitiveness, but I did find them cheaper than another nail spa nearby. Not only cheaper, but top quality and value. Along with my gel manicure I got a free glass of wine!! Thuy was super nice and gained my trust right away (I've been getting gel manicures regularly for the last 5 years elsewhere). I never keep my nails this short and was super concerned about a french manicure with this length of nails. Thuy assured me they would come out looking fabulous- and they DID!!! I just moved to the area and decided to try for the first time. Made an appt for manicure and pedicure. I was not impressed with either service. The technician never checked how hot the water was before putting my feet in and it was too hot. She never put lotion on my legs nor did she clean the excess polish around the toes and I felt it was rushed. The manicure was sloppy and the manager ended up having to redo a few nails. For the price it wasn't worth it. $20 for a manicure I expect you to take the time and ensure the nails are completely buffed and smooth before applying the polish, just a sloppy job. I've been going to Pro Nails and Spa for years now & have been sad to see the decline in their service. The mani/pedis have gotten so quick that you feel they are trying to get you out the door as soon as possible...not the best "spa-like" atmosphere. I think today was my last visit. My toe was cut, then my leg was burned with a scalding hot rock...all while the nail tech chatted over FaceTime (earbuds in) while checking her texts the entire time. She seemed so surprised when I jumped at the touch of the rock. She was rude and distracted the whole time I was there. When I sat and waited for my nails to dry, she got in my face and asked for an immediate payment. They rushed through it and finished the manicures in less than 30 minutes. We came around 6 for a dip mani and no chip pedi. The dip is bumpy, thick, and unevenly filed around the edges. Worst experience in a nail salon! I took my mom for a pedicure for Mother's Day. Mom started right on time, my tech did not start for another 10 minutes. They asked if we were locals or tourists, we are locals. After noting this, you would think they would take their time, do a good job in hopes to have us back... well, My pedicure was 15 minutes long (yes I timed it), I did not get a foot massage, no lotion, no clear coat of nail polish- just one coat of the pink color I chose. When we approached the manager, she was defensive and said the pedicures should be 30 minutes and my tech always does a foot massage. Needless to say, I will NOT be going back here, I do NOT recommend to ANYONE, especially locals! For tourist, pick your poison. I've been to many other nail salons, this by far was the worst place I've been to... they operate like a factory! read more

Great experience! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The full bar is a plus. I even chipped my nail (my fault) and they quickly fixed it with a smile. This place is like a factory. Huge. Chairs lined up all around. The person they gave me (Linda) did not appear to speak any English except "do you want to put the tip on the credit card". She filed my nails and I noticed when she put the file back in the box it came from, that someone's cut off nail was in the box. She did not cut my nails so I knew it wasn't mine. When I asked if the tools were clean, she didn't understand and had to ask the person next to her. She said , yes, they were clean. But when I pointed out the fingernail in the box, she took out a clean set of tools from a package. My whole manicure took only 15 minutes. Some of the tops of my nails were not smooth. She walked me to the dryer and walked away. Did not say thank you, good bye or anything. Very unfriendly. My first time there but they made no effort to make me want to return. And I will not.
