Eyebrow Wax The poorest service ever received in my 20 plus years of salon service Lots of oversharing by the technician I was assigned a technician who in one look gave me pause so I took a photo prior to the procedure. She was to wax my eyebrows. She waxed the same area over and over again, in such a devastating manner that the scar is still slightly visible- one whole year later. The manager or owner was not immediately apologetic, so I asked to see the person's license. She instead then begged me (calling me repeatedly for several days and texting) not to pursue a complaint, stating that "women should stick together". I really hate when people play on my intelligence with fake likeness. She said that the scar would go away in no time, that she would do my feet for free. I would never trust her in any service capacity so knew that my only recourse would be to complain. I asked to see the person's license because IF she had actually gone to school- this would HAVE to be one of the very first things taught (not to wax the same area repeatedly) but she nor the worker could nor would ever produce the license. It is supposed to hang in the salon somewhere, but the worker said that she had just moved and could not find it yet. You know, the item that allows her to work (she said that she was financially strapped) is somewhere where she cannot easily get ahold of it. The actual item she would need to work. She also gave me a fake name or at least one not found in the MD. database of licensed cosmetologists. When I questioned her, she said that she had not given me her "full name" and I have both texts and pictures to support my claims. The owner/manager (this is likely another lie) is not an honest, trustworthy individual as evidenced by the young lady whom she allowed to work on my face. Her first reaction was self-preservation. The Board of Cosmetologists and Barbers agreed with what happened and closed the case after ONE YEAR and no updates- claiming that they consider this bad service, thereby ignoring THE LAW stating that the license must be visible in the salon, IGNORING the texts where the worker admits to lying about her name and texts stating that she could not find her license. They instead advised me to contact the Attorney General who would have less power to punish the salon in this instance (they can only give me my $20 back which was obviously returned). The board refused to fine them which was the most punishment allowed. They support them in having the lone new, Black girl work on my face without showing a license, leaving a scar, lying about her name and admitting it all in text messages. Bad service was their summary, and that the place was clean and licensed. The salon was clean and licensed- things never mentioned in my complaint. Something sounds conspiratory about how this was handled. I submitted both copies of the text messages and photos but they would not fine the salon. Be careful out there. I guess this was "women sticking together". #FakeLiberalism ***************************************************************** Post note- I told the technician about an experience of my own doing, a number of years ago (use of Retin-A), and how not even that scar compared to what she had done. She then turned around and put it in her text as if she had thought to mention this on her own. Someone who knows enough about Retinoids but not enough to not wax the same area repeatedly. She admits that in text too (calling it her method- 4 waxes for each part of the eyebrow), and it was submitted to the board. She must have a friend there because she was infuriatingly dismissive about her behavior- focusing much more on how she did not want the salon "owner" punished- that she would meet me and give me money for the incident. See? It was okay for her to attack me but as the Asian owner who allowed her to operate would be punished- the board backed off. Bad service. read more

So I stopped by here just passing cause I havent had a pedi in a year...damn Covid. Anywho, I was greeted when I walked in and after expressing the desired service, I was seated at a pedi station. Over walks Candi, now at first glance youre like....ummm you doing my toes. BAYBEEE lemme tell yall, Candi was AMAZING on these feet. I got a spa pedicure with gel polish, total $45. The whole experience was great, shes very personable and professional at the same time. DEFINITELY will be coming here again. Ya heard me.....GO SEE CANDI!!!!!! read more

He could not do a French manicure to save his life so I just said color it in with a random color they had. Very awkward very very painful and dirty dusty place. If I could give 0 I would. Got a fill and pedicure My nails did not match. They started breaking (gel) the next day. The were my real nails and it took me two years to grow out from acrylic. I'm so mad. Made appointment and still waited 30 minutes. Give this place a pass!! read more

This place is not clean. They used the dirty towel from drying someone's feet to clean the basin to soak another persons feet. One lady also wore gloves. She went from doing someone's feet with gloves to doing mine with the same gloves on. Gross.... read more

Got a pedicure here for the first time. It was ok, the chairs were great and the process is the right idea, but the girl I had was not good! Barely scrubbed with the pumice stone and I'm pretty sure she didn't use top coat on one of my toes because 3 hours later the nail polish was smudged and it's not as shiny as the other toes. She also didn't do a good job with the shaping. It almost looks like I did my toes myself. I'm not one to ask for my money back, but for $25 it wasn't worth it. Maybe the other girls are better, but I'm not chancing it again. read more

So unbelievably unhappy with my latest experience here. I've been going here for a good year now and never had an issue until tonight. Not even an hour after getting my acrylics filled I leave and break a nail. When I went back to get it fixed they kept saying it was my fault that the nail broke and that I wasn't careful enough. Now that my nail is fixed I have to go home and fix the rest of my nails so they all look the same or at least similar. So so unhappy. I wish I could give them 0 stars. NEVER GOING BACK!!! read more

I don't usually complain. I got a manicure for my baby shower. I was talked into the jel manicure as I was told it would last longer. A day after the manicure the color has completely faded, especially in the middle. Additionally, the girl who gave me the manicure never gave me a massage and talked about personal issues the entire manicure. I just wanted to relax... I went back in today to show them my nails and the manager told me she was to busy to help me and to come back in an hour. I requested a refund as I can't return to the nail salon for a third time in a week and she told me no. I don't recommend this salon for many reasons, my personal experience on top of the fact that the salon is dirty. read more

I have been going to this nail salon for 13 + years. I have not been disappointed in this place once. I just went to get my done and they had the powder that you dip your nails into. It was pretty cool and less smelly. It was the first time that I had this type done. They are always clean and I have never not seen them clean their pedicure tubs out. read more

I didn't even want to give this salon a star at all I got my nails done tonight I got a set of acrylic white tips and a polish change which the nails should have been 25 dollars and polish change should have been 8 dollars in total should had been 33 instead they charged me 40 because they thought I wouldn't notice which I didn't until after it was closed and I left them a tip. The guy who did my nails was rude I asked for the to be rounded and he didn't want to do that so he left them square then I notice half of my real nail was showing because he put on to small of tips and then just continued painting the clear polish which was even worse because there all bubbly and way to thick I would never complain but I've never been to a worse salon very lazy and unkept and dirty I wouldn't waste your time! I will start with the ONLY positive from my experience here today. The woman doing my pedicure was very friendly and delivered service with a smile. Otherwise, I am very dissatisfied. I go to 3 other salons on a regular basis and get gel pedicures. I stopped here because I was in the area. I regret it. They started taking my polish off with drills which I don't like. I asked them to soak off. After the owner disagreed and told me the drills do not damage nails in any way (eye roll), they then agreed and soaked the gel polish off. However, the woman then still used two different drills on my toenails!! I explained to them my big toes are sore on the sides and need "dug out." Well, she just clipped them making my toenails much narrower than they should ever be which doesn't correct the problem. I told the woman they were still sore. The owner came over attempted by just clipping my nails even more. I tried to explain to her what they do everywhere else's I go. I told her they were still sore. She told me they were only sore because she had been messing with them. Nevermind that I've lived with these toes for 28yrs and have been doing this for st least 10yrs. When I got up to leave I realize an entire chunk of my one toenail wasn't even painted! She did fix that. When I left and paid (and didn't leave a tip) I politely thanked her for being so kind but said I was very dissatisfied. I also spoke to the owner directly. All she said was "sorry." Great management . Just go somewhere else, there's plenty others to chose from. read more

This place has gone down hill in service! No consistency and techs have attitudes. After giving them two years of my money I will no longer go back. The last four visits for pink/white fills with in a week my nails are separating and I'm having to have Helen, the owner redo the fill with attitudes. This place is absolutely horrible! I went for the first time today for a pink and white fill in. I was told on the phone it would cost $35. The girl that did my nails was so incredibly rude and would not listen to how I wanted my nails (such as shape and length). She ripped my old ones off bc they were "lifting" and ripped chunks of my real nail off in the 30 second process. She never added tips to start over, so my nails are the shortest I have ever seen. She then rushed through the rest, and I was finished before my friend who was also getting a pink and white fill. While rushing , she cut me several times and never replaced any of the tools. She charged me $50!!! I was so upset and tried to ask her why it cost so much. She got a terrible attitude with me in front of other customers. I heard her coworker telling a client he was going to remove her pink and whites for her fill in because it was easier for him than filing, therefore he would not charge her extra. I brought this up to her and she yelled at me to pay the $50. I will NEVER be returning. I was treated terrible and embarrassed in front of other customers. I also paid more than I EVER have for a fill in. Ridiculous! read more

Sadly there is no option for zero stars. Went here on a whim, I was quickly greeted, and quickly bombarded by poor "upsale" techniques. I went in there knowing exactly what I wanted but was continuously told to have something else done. The store was completely empty when I arrived. I wanted and needed my full set extremely short, she informed me this would be no problem. As the tool became hotter and hotter and burned my fingers, her excuse was "I can't make your nails this short." Ok....so why am I in this seat still, and why did you even try to do my nails??? While she was doing my nails I hear another customer crying out in pain asking for a different nail tech. She said "he cut me six times." So my nail tech had to do her nails and mine, leaving me waiting. Of course I can't leave out the situation that occurred directly next to me, a woman pulled her fingers away from the tech when in pain due to a cut as well. A customer came in to get a simple manicure and was forgotten about and left. I thought for sure this was a joke, how could it be that each and every person being treated at this nail salon were all injured and unhappy. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more
