This is my second time coming here, I was planning to make continuous visits here, because it was close to my apartment. I'll keep it sweet and simple. I came for a medi/pedi and although my pedicure was great (simple white gel) my medicine was terrible. My assigned nail tech was paid a lil extra to take me, which is what I saw with my own eyes. I did not know what that was about, because I had scheduled this appointment in advance. Then when she asked what color I wanted I showed her several pictures and I told her I wanted a full set. She was trying to tell me I should keep my old set and get a fill as well as telling me to keep the color I already had. I found that to be annoying because I see she was trying to make the process easier for her. "I am paying this establishment to get exactly what I want." Anyways as we went through the process and got to the actual painting part of my nail. She painted my nails clear. Most nail places that I've been too will take your picture and know exactly what color you want or find something close to it. They told me to find the color and I would expect that owning a nail salon, you'd know better than I to find the exact nail color I want. My nail tech was clearly irritated because she decided to do a poor job instead of asking her peers for help, she insulted me in their language, I could pick out a few words, from when my friend taught me. Not only that they just didn't want to fix my nails at all. They kept saying they don't know what nail color I'm talking about. Looking at these pics the nail color I requested is very common. I give this one place one star for their lack of knowledge when it comes to nails colors and on top of that I had to pay the normal price for work I did not find satisfying. This is the type of place you come to when your in a hurry. It will not be a permanent home for me. Also they know what their doing they have a ATM machine outside their establishment just saying. I have never written a Yelp review until now! I have been coming to this place for approximately 6 months. I have loved my nails until the person I normally see was not available on the days I was available so I had to see others! I had a full set a month or so ago and left dissatisfied. My new set was crooked. Nails going every which way! Then at the register found out that the new sets are now $39. Prices had went up $4-$5. I then decided to wait a month to put on another new set and this is what I get. Not only did the nail tech put my index nail on crooked 3x but then she got an attitude and started to be aggressive while continuing. And talking about me to her colleagues. At that point I had decided it is what it is. I will never come back. Upon completion I went to the register to find out that they charged me $44 instead of $39 like the last new set. She said because of the shape length and gel. BS... I get this every time since I've been a client. Then they proceeded to get upset because I brought this to their attention. I have a love-hate relationship with this salon. I stop patronizing this salon for more than 2 yrs after being with them for more than 5 yrs! One time I bump into Yvonne at the store and invited me back! This happened twice! Now I'm finding myself seeing her regularly. All I can say is: I'm Back because of Yvonne! The best nail tech ever! So I first went this place about 3/4 weeks ago they were still outside the nail tech did an amazing job on my nails. I only get dip powder and have been for about 3 years now. The second time I went was horrible,I know for a fact it's suppose to have 3 layers and she did two. So I went back and the tech who did my nail did a horrible job! My nails are uneven and chipping two days after getting them done, so of course I went back to get the one nail fixed and the next day another nail chips! Hello, I'm saddened that I have to report the very bad quality of my regular manicure and service today. I requested a white colored polish which was fine until the technician decided to clean the outer part of the nail polish that had strayed away from the nail itself by using a brush and nail polish remover. She left a horrible white mark surrounding each finger nail to which I requested it to be cleaned off but the technician insisted she didn't have to and didn't see anything wrong. I pointed it out to her and she refused to finish the manicure up to par. You can see for yourself in the attached pictures. Even so, it's been more than 24 hours since the appointment and the mark has not faded even after multiple washes and the use of nail polish remover. Definitely deserves a 1 star review. read more

With COVID regulations I was a bit worried about the outside set-up. However, upon arriving Tarps, Fans, and proper cleaning procedures+equipment were set up. I was very pleased by the professionalism & kindness. First my temp was taken, then I was guided to the hand sanitation station where I wore gloves (up until the time of my manicure), and finally some papers signed. Waiting outside was cool today *thank god.* But most importantly I felt safe & satisfied by the time spent out of the day for my personal selfcare. My care was with Cindy and it was a pleasant and relaxing experience with my needs met. Not much to complain about, just that I'm quite glad I went :). Been going here for years because they do quality work. I knew they charged $3 for credit card fee. My daughter and I had three services done. I asked him to ring all receipts together and run my card once. He ran it once but charged me a transaction fee three times--charged me $9! I'm actually sad to have to write such a negative review. I have been coming to this nail salon for quite a few years now, maybe 8-9 years! In that timeframe, I've averaged anywhere from 12-24 visits a year. I have always noticed the negatives about this salon but I have continued to come since it's just been comfortable and convenient for so long. I have been wanting to find a new nail salon for a while but this last visit was the breaking point for me! The gel polish selection is lacking, the polish I selected was out and the regular polish colors are old, crusty and most of them don't even have enough polish left in them to shake them up! Since I had to search for another color I was standing by the front desk for a few minutes and each interaction that the receptionist had was very rude and disrespectful. I will not spend another dime in this salon and I suggest you spend your money somewhere else where at the very least you will be talked to respectfully and have a decent polish selection. read more

This nail salon is right next to my house so I primarily go here due to the convenience of the location. That being said, I only go to Michelle to get my gel manicure and to Tiffany for my eyebrows. This review is primarily for the location and for Michelle and Tiffany. I always get Michelle to do my gel manicure because she always consistently does a great job on them and I usually get compliments on my nails when she does them. She's also very sweet and nice in her demeanor and I never feel like she's rushing to get my nails done. She always makes sure she does a good job. I always try to get Tiffany to get my eyebrows done because she's quick and efficient and it always turns out looking nice. There's a reason so many people on yelp keep writing about her. Overall, compared to other nail salons, I'd say this one is average. I think once you find a nail technician you like, the experience can be awesome. The nail technician really makes all the difference. If you get a bad one or someone who is rude and indifferent and doesn't really care about doing a good job on your nails, then I can see why some of the other yelp reviews have been bad. But I continue to come here because of Michelle and Tiffany and the great work they do so the 4 stars is for them and the location. read more

I will not be back. I made an appointment on Friday 7-22-22 @4:15. I arrived at my appt time. The shop was pretty busy. I checked in and sat next to a lady that said she'd been waiting a while and was a walk in and that she wished she would've made an appt. At 4:35 they called her back. I didn't understand that but thought I'd give it a few more minutes. I sat there until 4:40 then asked how much longer it would be. I was told just a few more minutes. At 5:00, mind you now I'm getting upset because I had an appointment, I asked once again. I was told a few more minutes. I then told the guy running the shop that I had an appt 45 minutes ago and that was the point of having an appt. I walked out and will not be back. The place also didn't look clean. Very poor customer service. The guy running the shop really didn't seem to care or try to make it right. Very ungrateful if you ask me! Most women working there were rude and very UNprofessioNail. I may not speak their language but it was very obvious they were talking about my mother after she mentioned the woman who gave her a pedicure (most obviously) missed a spot. Many of them started to laugh and snicker once her pedicurist said something. The only professional one there was a woman by the name of Michelle who didn't laugh or snicker. I told her it was obvious what they were saying and I said it was very unprofessional. She apologized and continued to take her time. Aside from Michelle, all woman were rushing to finish their work because it was close to closing time. Bottom line, don't take us if you don't have time for us. They do brow waxing out in the open where everyone is getting their nails done so it's plain to see for anyone watching that they DOUBLE DIP. I love ProfessioNail. Close to home and next door to KFC, a girl can die happy after getting waxed, her nails done and eating some fried chicken, in that order. Only during special occassions, do I come in for a mani-pedi service. I love getting their Mediterranean spa foot massage. But, I usually come here for a waxing. As others have said, it's all about TINA. Quick, easy and fast. That's the way I like it. My wax jobs, that is. Waxing range from $8 and up, depending on what you're getting. Brazillian waxes start at $35.... Tina makes me laugh, whenever she does my waxes. She'll time herself on how fast she can get it done, which is typically under 5 minutes. She's too funny! I just love her! She's friendly, professional and efficient. You'll be at ease and done in no time, at all. Bring cash or be prepared to pay $1 for a credit card transaction fee. Or, you can use the ATM next door, but expect to pay ATM fees. Place is always packed, so schedule an appointment. It'll be less painless that way. read more

This is the spot I hit up when I'm in an emergency state-of-mind while visiting the fam in San Diego. How good are their pedicures & nail jobs? I tell you how good: it's been 1 month & 1/2 since I got my pedicure & nails done & they STILL look bangin'! Enough said! The only couple of gripes I do have is that they always try to sell you the "little extras" after you've specifically said what you want. 'No, I don't want the pink filling. Nope, I'll pass on the extra-euro spa treatment. That's OK, I don't want a wax job, thanks.' And they're not so good at respecting appointments, mostly when it comes to waxing jobs. Prepare to wait at least 1/2-hour after your appt. time, they're all about trying to get in as many jobs as possible- so, if a walk-in comes in a couple of minutes before your appt, they will take them & kindly ask you if you could hold on a bit, afterall "it'll only take a sec". I'm also very leery about getting my eyebrows done by someone who, although only does waxing, isn't solely dedicating herself to eyebrows. Tiffany does a mean wax job, I can vouch for that. However, there's no way in hell I'd allow her to touch my eyebrows. Eyebrows frame your face, they are seen by everyone on a daily basis- I'll put those badboys in the hands of someone who's sole career is in the art of shaping eyebrows. After reading some of the helpful reviews on Yelp, I agree, BRING CASH. They can process credit cards, but the nice girl behind the reception desk said they had issues with Visa/MC cards that say, "debit card" on it. So at the advice of these reviews, I made an appointment with Tina for brow/lip/underarm waxing. She was busy when I arrived, but I was in no rush. While waiting, I had my nails and cuticles cleaned by Kim. Didn't get polish since I planned to paint my nails the next day, but she did a nice clean job. Afterwards, Tina did my waxing. She did a very good job detailing and shaping my desperate eyebrows. But while she was in the middle of finishing my lip and brows, a walk-in arrived and Tina seemed to start rushing. My underarms needed a bit more touching up after she was done, but I'm ok with fixing the few leftovers. I went in on an early Wed afternoon (2-3pm), perhaps a morning visit wouldn't have been as busy. Nevertheless, I will still return to this location and recommend to others. read more

I love coming here for my eyebrow/lip wax for the past 8 years. I love Tina and Kelly. When I come here and it's not busy, I usually ask for Tina but if she's not available I ask for Kelly. For the past 5 years I have been living in LA for college, but I come home which is super near this place just to get my grooming done. It is $8 dollars for eyebrows and with the lip wax it is $7. Not too shabby considering the places near where I live in LA , the waxes are about $15 just for eyebrows. Definitely worth it! I always come out of here feeling pretty and pampered . My facial treatment was the worst treatment I've ever had anywhere. I dimmed the lights in the room to try to enjoy my experience and the lady told me she needed to see so she turned the light back on to full brightness and told me I would just get used to it. She did microdermabrasion on me and she tossed my face around so hard. This was anything but relaxing. She kept going in and out of the room as if she wasn't prepared for the treatment. Her hands were not therapeutic in the least. I felt like she was so rough and fast. I felt tossed around. Then when it was time to leave, she wouldn't leave the room so I had to put my blouse on with her watching me. I don't recommend this place for facials. I've been going to professionail for years now but what happened this last time made me never want to come back again. I made an appointment with Jennifer, she had done my nails before so I didn't think there would be a problem. I asked for a similar design as she did last time (I'll put both sets for reference) but with different colors. Before she started to paint my nails I asked her if she could put a base on so that my real nails wouldn't show through but she refused by saying no so I just went along with it. As she was painting the nails they looked uneven and patchy so I kindly asked her to fix them and she said word by word "You complain too much don't make an appointment with me, don't come back here" I was obviously not happy with the nails but I just stayed quiet since she refused to even do what I was asking for. During the entire time I was there she was talking bad about me to the other nail techs, I knew because they were all staring at me. I get my nails done to relax after a long week of work/school and I had the opposite experience, it was uncomfortable and unprofessional. read more

I have tried many many many other nail salons in the south bay, especially places that were much cheaper, but time and time again I am drawn back to the quality of service at Professional. You get what you pay for here, and I'm loving what I get here! Regular Manicure- The regular manicures here are pretty standard. The collection of nail polish is quite large is comparison to other places. They have a wide selection of OPI and many other superior brands. The life of the manicure from here is normal as well. (10$) Spa Pedicure- This place recently bought new spa chairs that are top notch. Not only are they comfortable but the massaging actually works. For my pedicures I love Jenny, shes very thorough and precise. Her pedicures always last me 2 to 3 weeks. (18$ 22$ for french) Acrylic- You can definitely tell the difference between cheap acrylics and quality acrylics. I am constantly getting my nails complimented on every time I get them done here. They always manage to stay shiny even up to three weeks later. The tools and products they use here are top of the line and you can tell by the finished product. (40$ new set) Eyebrow Wax- Tina or Tiffany is great for any type of waxing. I've become accustomed to going with Tiffany though because she does all of my other waxing as well. She knows how to shape your eyebrows in a way that will compliment whatever face shape you may have. They are never too thin, and never too thick. I've been going to her for at least 4 years now and she never fails me. (8$) Bikini/Brazilian Wax- Tiffany does my monthly bikini/Brazilian wax and although this may sound weird, it is one of the most relaxing times of my month. After you get over the initial pain and awkwardness of having hot wax and a strangers hands down there it becomes quite routine. Tiffany is very gentle and thorough with me no matter what part of the body she is waxing. Ladies, I seriously recommend getting a bikini/brazilian wax ASAP! The benefits are endless. (40$) *On a side note: This place is very male and kid friendly. I see all ages, sizes, and genders getting just about all sorts of services done. And if you do have a traditional credit card they charge $1 to run it. Get with the program and use Square payment or something if you're too cheap to pay the charge to run a debit card. Stupid. Moral of the story is: bring cash or use the ATM a few doors down. It's a credit union ATM which is good for me since I'm part of one and don't get charged but for regular banks there's a $3 fee. Im Sadly disappointed in the work I received last Saturday morning by nail technician Jane.. it appeared to look ok until the top coat dried and then it completely showed how she didn't go completely to the nail bed nor all the way to the sides of the nails with neither the polish or the top coat. I've been going to Professionail for the passed 8 Years and never had this issue. In addition all of a sudden a glitter top coat is now suddenly being Charged as a "Nail Design" this a First... I was charged an extra $10 for the very crooked not uniformed silver glitter across my nails. I wasn't satisfied at all and I returned the following day to ask that they be fixed and the nice man at the counter asked WHO did this work? I said Jane.. he said oh No please sit she will Fix it. I sat and waited patiently and yet all she did was add another Top Coat to it! Uuhmm NO this isn't fixed.. she said Yes looks better sit over there so they can dry I said No you need to re-polish them so they look Nice. Today was the day I was looking forward for three months. Mine you I been getting my nails done here for more than 10 years. Not only me but My Mom an sister's. So today everything was great . They have installed all the necessary precautions. I felt completely safe an even when I had to sign a waiver concerning COVID . I was more than happy to do it. But while I was filling up the paperwork I mentioned to the employee that I had COVID an I had recovered. He look at me scare .I said I'm perfectly fine an I been clear by my doctor. By this time the girl that does my nail YVONEE came to direct me to the chair. As I was sitting I told her how excited I was to be back an I said I need to tell you what has happen during this time. She proceeded to leave an told me to soak my feet. After a while the person in charge tells me the owner wants to talk to me. He ask me if i was still sick . I said NO . I would never expose my self or anyone else to this sickness if I was. That would be irresponsible of me. Well to make a long story short I was discriminated because I HAD COVID. They refuse to service me . Which find it unacceptable an also ignorant on their part. The owner told me he couldn't force any of the ladies to provide me the service. Needless to say I left that place not only mad but extremely disappointed an crying. I never felt so humiliated an offended. The fact that I made a comment in an innocent an honest way just got me banned . 10 YEARS down the drain. Because I'm never coming back. Not only me or my family . But many many friends that also used to get their nails here. Please educated yourselves.!!! This time it was me next time it might be someone else that can take this to the next step. I have followed Mimi at each location she has been to for almost 10 years and the quality of service she provides is top notch. This use to be my regular spot for nails but I have since moved to Four Seasons off of Melrose because I finally found someone who does my fills just right. So now I just use this place for my eyebrow wax. Tiffany is my favorite but Tina is just as good. I would definitely recommend an appointment if you are going on the weekend but I have to be honest, they still treat it like a first come first serve. My recommendation is, if at all possible, go during the week days. They do accept credit cards but they charge an extra fee and you can add the tip to the bill. read more
