Went for a pedicure and it's sad to say it's the worse one I had. One of my toes still hurt 3 days later because she dug under it. She was so rough in cutting my nails. And now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if I get an infection. I didn't see anyone there sanitize their tools. As for their quality of service, it varies depending on who you get. One lady gave a really good foot massage to my friend vs the lady who helped me only lightly rubbed my feet. Not likely to go back to this place. I actually can't believe how bad a job this place did. I'm here on holiday from LA and broke a nail so I thought I might as well go get a fill. I wish I never did! I tried endlessly and politely to explain to the tech why I didn't like it but he did not care and made me pay full price. I should of stood my ground but honestly just wanted to get out of there. None of my nails match in shape or size and not only that the polish is horrible and uneven. He tried to blame it on my nails but I've been doing them for 15 years and have never had an issue!! They take walk-ins! I couldn't find a place to do my nails without a reservation. I came to Professionail at 9:45am on a Saturday and they got me in by 10:15. The place could be cleaner but the girl that did my gel manicure was very thorough and did a fantastic job. I went to this salon before new years eve of 2018 and my experience is really bad. If only I had a choice I wont go here. The smell is bad, you can smell it from the door down inside. They used a Dremel tool on my real nails without realizing the effect of it. I know its hard to take off gel nail polish, but their not supposed to use that. Now my nails on my hands are so brittle and cracks easily. The staffs don't even introduce their selves. I paid $73 for this crap!!! Never again!! (I mean I'd go there for a $12 eyebrow wax though) never for nails!!!! I've been going to this place for a regular gel, because Helen does a good job (this girl who works there that usually wax my brows and nails) then yesterday (Jan 7, 2020) I was really willing to change gel to acrylic style, made an appointment like a regular customer. (530 pm) I Got to the place, a lady (idk her name) immediately took care of me and did my brows. Anyway, I waited about 10 mins so that this only guy in there can start with my nails. I didn't have problem until he put on the fake nails and start gluing it on my nails. As he was shaping my nails I told him I want natural nails look. he told me "Relax it'll be shorter later" this guy never listen to me for what I wanted. Before he coated my nails with my choice of nail polish, I tried to tell him to cut it even shorter because I don't like it too long. He did once listen but I got a "you should've told me that earlier" I didn't wanna be a baby about it because I was the only customer in there that time (630 pm and they close at 7pm) when he was shaping my nails, I felt like he was trying to break it. The glue was stuck on the tool he was using and forcing it to shape my nails even though I said I was hurting. Went here with a gift certificate and had Derek as our technician and he was great and funny as well! My cousins first time doing a mani and she was nervous at first but loved it afterwards. I'm not one to write a bad review, but I'm furious. I've never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. I was referred to this salon and wanted to try it out before I left kauai . Let's start off with the fact that the lady was falling asleep while doing my nails... she fell asleep 4 times and kept filling down my SKIN with the electronic fill. Let's not forget she left me in the chair in middle of putting acrylic on my nails with only 2 nails started to go and get coffee. But it only gets better, she put acrylic on my skin of my pinky finger. I told her that my skin was sensitive but she said "that's okay, it won't hurt that bad". She then started to shape my nails and made a big bulge on one of my nails. I tried to tell her but she ignored me and laughed. Then I told her that there was brown stuff in the acrylic near my skin and she blamed me and said it was my fault that it got dirty . I hope I don't get fungus.... I have dots of the gel coat it stuck to my skin. She asked where I got my nails done at and then she started talking bad about my nail artist. I just can't believe the experience I had . Got a mani/pedi. The nails are still a little long. They don't really massage. They don't even talk to you when you walk in.

From San Diego and can get gel mani for 16.-30. Dollars. I know things cost more to import but not sure $45-50.is necessary otherwise would give 5 stars. There are cheaper gel mani's avail like in Koloa. That being said I wanted my nails done after several weeks on island and a few more to go. Ive been here before and hoped to get same guy. I got Michelle and was apprehensive when she drill filed my gel off instead of soaking but turned out fine. Michelle lives up to the brusque manicurist stereotype but she grows on you even while she barks orders at you (DONT touch or move them!) She reads you like a book. When she finished I was wowed by my hand model quality manicure. I promptly noted her name in my contacts for future visits. I'll be back. Hope SHE stays put. read more

I've been here many times, and never had trouble. At the least, the technician was quiet and did his/her job. That's fine, I don't need conversation. My recent visit was AWFUL. I will vote with my $$ and find someplace else to get my pedicures from now on. Without naming names (no need to be rude, unlike my nail technicians) I warn you far away from this place. Never in my 20+ years of getting pedicures have I had such a bad experience. I'm not even sure if she glanced at my feet once. There were no customers in the shop, for once. The soaking water was freezing. She added enough hot water to bring the temperature to merely cold. After breaking skin while trimming some tough skin around one nail, she did a careless but of pumice work somewhere in the vicinity of my heels, all the while looking around the room bored and chatting to the other technician. Then, out of nowhere, she pulled out a Dremel-like machine and sanded the top of my nails. This has never happened to me. "Yellow" she explained. What does that matter, as I'll be putting polish on them? Way to make them go yellower faster in the future. The other technician cut me a mean glare from across the room, and from then on I was marked. ....and the hack job she did with the polish...after applying it, it took her 5 minutes to go around every nail with a paint brush dipped in polish-remover to take all the excess off my toe. By the time I left, I looked like I was in a fight with a crab. As I stood up to pay, I turned around, and the other technician's eyes were following me across the room with such a look of NOT-aloha. And the only time I said a word the whole time was to ask why she was Dremel-ing my nails. No thanks, I'm sure there are other places for a simple pedi and closer to home. BTW, they charge $10 extra to moisturize and massage your calf (which is standard anywhere else) and don't tell you until you pay that that was why it costs $10 more than what is posted. read more

Seriously the most special and incompetent workers there. The guy I had doing my gel manicure was obviously rushing through everything and not paying very much attention to detail. As he was doing the top coat on my nails there were hairs scattered throughout it causing ripples in the polish. This was annoying but he was almost done so I didn't say anything. Then as he is finishing and cleaning my nails the polish all comes right off. As someone who has gotten a gel manicure so many times I have never seen this happen. It literally all peeled right off. I was so annoyed at this point I let him get it all off and told him I didn't want it. He charged me for a regular manicure and I left. So annoyed I spent 30 minutes on this. They were quick and efficient. I didn't need a full pedicure as I had just had one a couple of weeks ago, but needed to refresh the polish and buff off some dead skin. Should have checked the reviews before I wafted my money and time. My two girlfriends and I went yesterday to get pedicures. I added a manicure to my purchase as well. First off one of our massage chairs was broken which was very disappointing. Secondly I was offered a feel manicure that was guaranteed to last a month but I opted for the less expensive regular polish which was said tip last about a week. I was fine with that time frame considering the prove as a factor; however not 24 hours later and the nail polish is already half off. So very disappointed. I will not be returning. read more

I got my nails done here before my wedding. I got shellac manicure which was nice. It took a long time because she put on about 500 coats, which is still going strong. Despite my nails having grown out. I initially wanted a shellac pedicure because I didn't want my paint chipping or whatever for the wedding. They said it would be really expensive and I didn't need shellac cause pedicures last long anyway. I agreed and sure enough, my toenail chipped right before the wedding and I couldn't fix it cause we were staying a ways away, but oh well. It was a tiny chip. I wished i would have paid the extra money to do the shellac so I didn't have to worry Otherwise, great experience. I got a should massage with my manicure! And the pedicure massage was nice as well. While hubby and friends were golfing I decided to get a pedicure. This location was the closest. Very friendly staff! They do line the pedicure tubs which I was afraid they wouldn't. I was there when they open and saw how they wipe everything down. Also between customers they scrub out the tub. All those were very important to Me! Loved the massage! Did a great pedicure! I use to go here and had bad experiences but I decided to give then another chance. I REGRET IT! Bad paint job and horrible service. The man made me bleed with the automatic file and he didnt even say sorry. He also rushed through my appointment and made like it was my fault my nails came out ugly. There was also black flakes in the paint from old dry paint that were on my nail that weren't suppose to be there and he didnt do anything about it. Shape and length of nails were all off. And when i didnt give him tip, he stared at me until i sat down to dry my nails. And he was hesitant to bring my bag to me while i was drying my nails. They also dont great you when you come in or say bye while you leave, so rude! Definitely don't recommend going here. Cheaper prices than other places, but i guess you get what you pay for. I used to come here every time when i had to do my nails. If i wanted to do them last min. Even tho the smell of the salon was horrible. I would get in. Had to wait for couple mins but (no biggie.) So one day i go to professionail while doing my toes some of the workers remembered me and they were friendly, talking with me telling the lady that was doing my toes that she comes here every time. Which was nice after my toes were getting done the lady told me to wait by the table where they dry your toes off. I'm sitting there waiting to start my nails. I noticed most of the workers(4 or 5)were sitting down either on their phone and or just relaxing. It was pretty slow in there so i knew it was a slow day for them. I figured i was gonna start my nails soon. I'm sitting there waiting for 15 mins. Finally about to start my nails and the lady that was doing my toes was getting all ready to start just then the owner tells me can you come back later? because we are SUPER busy. I told her no i had other things i had to do.(I was there for 30 mins already).There's at least 4 or 5 of the workers that weren't even doing anything. Then she said oh wells! like really WTF!? Gal at the front work station said come back in an hour and wrote my name down. Came back as told, wasn't acknowledged. Gave my name and what I was there for, got a head nod. I had my nails filled about 4 days ago and one of them started lifting so I went in to get it fixed. Ladies, we all know nails aren't cheap so we expect to be happy after spending a lot at the salon but what I left with after getting my nails done here were bumpy, crooked, uneven nails. I've never had anyone do as poorly as they did. I even got her to try an fix it but it was a lost cause and I'm seriously not picky. I was only in there for a fill and I had an appointment so I got seated right away but it took me one hour and 40 minutes to get out of there!!! The lady stopped working on my nails to take care of walk in clients who need waxes, answer her cellphone (text and calls). So disappointed with my manicure. I showed a picture of how I want my nails done. The first manicurist didn't know how to do it. So she cleaned my nails then they told me to go to another manicurist and the owner told her the one I wanted is called ombré. Then she started painting my nails with pink! Not the color I choose! Then She started doing it faded. I also mentioned I've always had faded I want to do something different this time. So I told her it's ok. And she keeps on asking me if it's ok.
