I *know* I was hard to work on that day but the quality of work was still incredible despite the added challenge of extra tension and movement. I literally slammed my right hand in the car door the following day and none of the smashed nails fell off until after a week and a half of growth and additional stress on the damaged hand only- my left hand is grown out af but still in immaculate shape. The wedding was the last weekend of April. That's chaos-tested and approved nail craftsmanship! She obviously can't take criticism, and will resort to harassment if she doesn't agree with your review. I have talked to other Yelpers who have had the same experience. This is completely unacceptable from ANY business owner or person. If I didn't like this place before, I absolutely HATE it now. Save your money for one of the MUCH better and much more professional nail salons in Des Moines. This place is a joke. Yeah, I gave this place another shot and I just can't do it. The first time I came, the woman doing my nails seemed really peeved and annoyed. She was very aggressive with how she did my nails, and when she waxed my eyebrows (which are naturally thick) she kept pointing out how thick they were. I told her that's how I liked them, and would just like a little clean up. Instead she made them INCREDIBLY thin, and not to mention uneven. I've never had such a bad eyebrow wax in my life! I also got a pedicure the first time I went in. The manager (I think that's who he was) sat down and started talking to me. At first I thought this was just a nice gesture. Ended up being him telling me my husband (who is a pilot) probably cheats on me, and I on him (I'm a flight attendant). Uhhh... Thanks? Even though completely inappropriate, I've just moved to the area and hoped I just had a bad first experience, so I decided to come back for a fill.. Bad idea. The manager was actually nice this time and kept his inappropriate comments to himself, so I felt a little bit better coming back. But I did have the same nail lady. Even more rude, even more aggressive, and even more nasty than the first time. I asked her if I could look at the gel colors. She threw the basket at me then started telling me to pick from the selection she had at her desk... Um, can't you just get up and grab the color I actually want? I don't recommend coming here at all. I am a very loyal customer when I receive good service, but I think this was my last time here.
