THE PLAN The overall plan was to create an open plan professional grade-inspired kitchen for cooking, entertaining and hanging out with friends. The project involved a total demolition of the existing kitchen space and surrounding hallway, breaking down walls, relocating plumbing, upgrading electrical, installing new lighting and most importantly, thinking on one's feet and problem solving. For example, the installation of the ventilation hood required a custom connection to accommodate a professional grade wall hood in a condominium ducting arrangement. WORKING RELATIONSHIP Julian was responsive, informative, collaborative and accommodating working for a client who is a detail-oriented, perfectionist like myself. He went the extra mile in many aspects, like painting and re-painting, fine-tuning caulking and paint lines around cabinets and custom finishing the undersides of the kitchen peninsula countertop. Julian also respects timeliness. He was at the job site when he said they would be and would always advise when he was running late. This also extended to his team and sub-contractors; there were no no-shows or lengthy period when no work was performed. It is also telling that Julian has long working relationships with his team and sub-contractors. They all expressed respect for him as a person, boss, and partner. A good team leads to successful projects like mine. PROPOSAL & BUDGET The project proposal was competitive among a total of 3 bids. It was clearly itemized in detail and hence, there were no surprises. WHAT'S NEXT I look forward to my next remodeling project with Julian. They did wonderful work and it still looks good over a year later. I highly recommend them. The workers showed up everyday on time and early. They let me know what time they would be here and when they were done for the day. We love our patio. We put a hot tub on it and it is taking the weight no problem. The cost was competitive with other estimates we got. We are thinking of calling them next year for house painting and patio gazebo or a cover for our beautiful patio.

My folks had done an addition to the house in the late 1970's and without question it was time for the windows & doors to be replaced. We wanted to get some Pella Windows, and per Pella's website, JP Lindstrom was a certified contractor for their product. From the start, communication was great with Jeff. Jeff arrived at my dad's home with a Pella representative and measured the windows and doors. I received the bid and we went ahead with the project. Due to the holiday season, we waited until the first of the year to start work and work they did. I live in Sacramento, but my dad lives in San Mateo, and from the get go, I was getting daily reports of how great they were, how they took their time, and made sure everything was perfect. My dad could not say enough about them. I went home this past weekend 1/28/12 and upon entering the house, I could immediately see to the family room and was OPENED JAWED at the look and the work in which they had completed the job. THESE GUYS ARE ARTISTS. Truly, I was just STUNNED at the beauty and workmanship. The window frames were beautifully done as well as the installation being flawless. The finished product looked as if they had always been there. All I could do was stand and look, say "WOW, HOLY COW", "WOW, HOLY COW, I AM JUST AMAZED". Still am. They were initially hired by my in-laws via Angi for a move from the Bay Area to the Sacramento greater area. They were both very kind and informative, worked quickly and efficiently, and handled all furniture and items with care. The total move took about 8 or 9 hours, and included moving the furniture back in and reassembly as needed, adding felt feet to the bottoms to protect hard floors, etc. We were really impressed with the work they did for my in-laws, and so we decided to hire them as well for our own similar move to the Sacramento area. We had a lot less furniture, but a TON of boxes, so our move took about 10 hours. They Tetris stacked it in such a way that the truck was full, top to bottom, left to right, wall to wall. Everything was secured, nothing was lost or damaged -- amazing considering that, during this never ending California drought, it was RAINING on our moving day!! They kept our items dry, no water damage, and drove carefully on the roads to get everything up to Sacramento safely. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking for an affordable and careful mover!

We hired Bay Area Best Relocation Services for a full packing and moving job right at the new year. Carlos and his team were incredible: friendly, efficient, timely, and everything we could have hoped for. From the very beginning we were impressed by the genuine estimate that we got (we did a walk thru before the first day of packing, and Carlos was honest and said we'd likely need to do two full days since we had a bigger place and a lot of stuff like collectibles, kitchen appliances, etc.) They were scheduled to come between 8:30 and 9:30 on the first day, so from previous experience we expected them to be at the later end of that. On the contrary, they texted about 15 minutes before they arrived at 8:30 sharp, and promptly got to work. The two additional workers (Alonzo and Ernesto) introduced themselves and all three were super friendly and positive, and put us at ease (we were both super stressed and tired). Everything was packed and wrapped professionally and safely; they moved our house full of stuff over two days to our new place and even put "categories" of boxes in the new garage for us to make it way easier to unpack room by room. No broken glasses, no scratched walls or furniture, and each box they packed was labeled with the room and contents. (The fact that they provided their own boxes, tape, and packing materials was a HUGE help as well...we thought we'd bought enough boxes ourselves but we were way off.) I cannot recommend this service, or these people, enough: my partner and I were floored by the quality of service, the kind demeanor, and the speed and efficiency that Carlos, Alonzo, and Ernesto put into their work.
