Here's to Robert, Sam, and Ruben! You know, I don't remember exactly when or why I started coming to Professional Embroidery (I come for ASB shirts), but it had to have been due to chance. I mean, I cannot think as to why I would have been shopping at the Westminster Mall; and, in terms of geography, I would have had to make a "special" trip to even go there. (Unless I can "kill two birds with one stone," as they say, I am sure that I would have chosen someplace closer. And there ARE places that are more convenient.) Nevertheless, it must have been chance...somehow. But here's why I return: these guys rock. Look, every year I buy ASB shirts for school, and each year my class tries to top the year before: creativity, symbolism, flair, etc. And we have had some great ideas. Go ahead. Borrow from us. :) My point is that Robert and his guys can get whatever shirts you want, even if they have to be ordered. They have plenty of catalogues. And Robert even goes so far as to look up ideas FOR me, and he emails me links. And if you want your own design, they can also help you with that: your designs can be scanned and even embroidered. Just bring your ideas. These guys will get things going. Look, maybe you're close by, or maybe you have plenty of reasons to make a special trip. And in that case, drop by. Ask for any one of them. And as for "killing two birds with one stone," I never really got whether it meant killing two birds in flight with one big stone; or if it meant killing a bird with a stone, and then picking that same stone up and killing yet another bird with it. My wife tried to get a blanket embroidered and the person at the counter was impatient and extremely rude. After being treated badly by the employees, the owner/manager came out and continued the awful treatment saying you are mad because you can't afford our prices... How arrogant was that and true his prices were overly inflated. He said he has been doing this for fifteen years. Please make this his last by going elsewhere! They are rude, they complain to customers about how other customers want things for cheap but want the items the next day, then rambles about how he has 100+ things to do in the back. Obviously the man does not care to respect his customers. He will not entertain you or your questions unless you have more than one order. In the beginning of the evaluation the man states, "you only have 10 minutes to talk and choose what you want" and quickly leaves and goes to the back. I do know not the name of the guy but he has a beared. Don't waste your time here nor give this place buisness. If I could I'd give this place 0 stars. Professional Embroidery you are anything but professional. If you don't care for your customers, and if you dislike your job so much because you have 100+ things to do, then stop complaining and get yourself a different job, your not helping anyone with your poor customer service. read more

Professional Embroidery is located next to JCPenny on the second level of the Westminster Mall. When you walk in there is a plethoria of shirts, hats, jackets, etc to be embroidered. You can choose these or bring in your own item. As far was the store's layout, you have to walk through all the item to get to the business area at the back. Unfortunately, there does not seem to be too much organization. You walk up to the counter, if they see you then you get help. If not they you yell and they come out of the back. On a couple of visits, they were helping someone to stop and help someone else who walked in without finishing with the first person. They also said they would give me a call to when the proof was ready but I had to call them because I never received a call. Also when the item was finished, no call. To get my embroidery does it cost more than I would have liked but I guess that was because it was custom. They were helpful with the design though they could not design it as requested. The embroidery itself was of good workmanship and done to the specification determined ahead of time. Overall, my custom project got done, not quite how I wanted it by in the time crunch I was in it was OK. Will probably look for somewhere else before returning really only because of the poor customer service. read more

SHOPPERS BEWARE Walked in here yesterday...WOW!? NOT in a good way wow. I dont think this business expect any clients. I asked a question. Answer NO. Walking out I saw what I was asking....returned to counter...with uncertainty answer $15 dollars per 3 letters. I replied okay Ill like to order one. Now, the answer was $50.00 dollars set up fee...hah!!! So now, cheap arse baseball cap will be $85.00 and she hasn't even given me the price for cap. My last reply...I dont think I can pay that much for a cheap baseball cap. Perhaps, this business is best suitable for BULK. Also, if you speak whatever tongue she speaks you are greated better. I dont think its English/ Spanish/ or Vietnamese. Now, Im at WOW I never thought I would miss a Vietnamese speaking vendor. The initial visit was actually very good. I don't remember the guy's name but I came here last Saturday to drop off my graduation stole to get my name and majors embroidered on it. He seemed very professional and careful about how to do the placing and sizing and whatnot. I thought that it was going to be pretty expensive because I have a long name and I wanted BOTH of my majors written on it. However, for all three, they still only charged $25 + tax. I was pretty excited for the end result. However, I went to pick it up today. The guy that I talked to today was rude and super unprofessional. And then when I opened it, my name wasn't even placed where I asked for it to be placed. I marked it and everything. I don't understand how you can mess that up..... and then neither one of my majors were embroidered onto my sash straight!!! Like it's understandable that it's not in the exact place that I wanted, but for it to not be straight?!!! It doesn't even look presentable anymore. How is it okay for you to sell someone this? Avoid business here if possible. While there are plenty of alternatives for embroidery, not many other local places do printing for small orders. Basically, if you have no other choice, come in here, but be prepared to deal with a lot of trouble. Try to avoid the woman worker if possible. Came in Sunday right before closing and placed an order, print 3 white letters on two pairs of sweatpants. The worker (gabriel I believe) was actually very helpful, and helped me through closing ( I stayed about 20 minutes after their advertised closing time). The only negative here was that initially for one font at 3 inches it was going to be $15 per pants, I changed fonts and DECREASED the size and the price went up, but he did not tell me until right before I was about to ring up the order. -1 star. They were to be finished by thursday afternoon, perfect I planned to pick it up friday afternoon. And I needed it by sunday. I come in friday afternoon, expecting to get my order. It's a different person working, a lady (most likely the one mentioned in all of the other low star reviews). I ask to pick up my order, she says it's not ready, they were trying to contact me about some sizing issue, but I gave them the wrong number. (bullshit, he read the number back to me when I placed the order). I asked to see the number that I wrote down, she told me to just write down my number again and my name so that they can call me in about an hour when the other guy gets in. -1 star A couple hours later, she never called. so I called in because I need the product. I forgot what occurred in this call, but I had to call again later around 6PM. Within these two calls it was somehow decided, there was no longer a sizing issue, so the went ahead with making the product. and that for the mishaps she could drop it off saturday afternoon. -1 star Well comes saturday afternoon, the designated time passed, I have received no call, no product, I call in once again. Once again she cites that the other guy isn't there, he has the truck and I have to wait until he comes in. Can I give 0 stars now? Eventually I did get my product, placement is a bit off, and the size of one of the letters is a little wider than the other 2 for whatever reason. Just writing a review because there is no other way to file a complaint formally against the Professional Emboidery business. I have been getting shirts embroidered and printed at Professional Emboidery over the past two years and that has been based solely on location. The customer service is horrible and after my experience with them today i will say that their service in general is poor. As indicated in the other review here on YELP, the store employees including the owner/manager "Robert" are less than helpful. I have gotten attitude from Robert on every occasion that I have gone into the store, yet I have tried to give him the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to him having a bad day. Apparently all days are bad for Robert. I had a tank-top printed yesterday for my skating team uniform. When I was in the store I was looking at the font book and didn't really find anything that I wanted, but one of the sample fonts on the stores marketing materials as well as on sample teeshirts in the store was perfect. After the employee indicated to me that it was probably a font that the owner had created he looked on the store computer and we were able to identify the font. The employee placed my order for the shirt in the font, but he was unable to lay it out on the computer to show me because he didn't know how to use the program the font was found in. He had previously laid out the design on another program and it was laid out as I indicated I wanted the shirt to be printed. He put tape on the back of the shirt indicating where the letters would be placed and it was my understanding that the tape was placed at the top of the design placement and the bottom of the final line. Apparently I was wrong on that assumption because my shirt is NOTHING like it looked on the lay-out I was shown on the computer. I was not refunded, nor was there an offer to have the shirt reprinted if I brought in another shirt. This complaint is not about the employee who helped me the day I took the shirt in because he was great in working with me and especially because he went above and beyond to find the font for me. He agreed with me that if it was used on samples that the owner of the store created that it had to be available someplace, which I am sure is the reason he was able to find it in the computer system. He was pleasant and I really appreciated his help. My problem is with the store owner/manager Robert who not only acted like it was my fault for "choosing a font they don't sell", but he also argued with me that I should have known that the tape was the actual placement of the design. I am not an employee of the store, nor would I have been able to purchase the font if his employee hadn't found it and sold it to me. It is pretty bad that the owner of a business wouldn't back-up his store by wanting his service to be correct and end up with a happy customer, versus arguing with me, calling me a bitch and refusing to give me his full name when I asked for it to file a complaint against the store with the Better Business Bureau. Just wanted to share that this is not the business you want to use for printing and embroidery if you want to deal with a professional business that offers good customer service and stands behind their work. It is extremely over-priced and not worth the attitude thrown out by the business owner. The pure lack of concern for you as a customer should've been clue #1 for me the last time I was in the store. I would give this place 0 stars! Take your business somewhere else! Liz the manager is really unprofessional! So long story short I came in to get my silk pajamas embroidered for my wedding along with 6 bridesmaid silk pajamas. I initially wanted everyone's name on the pocket of the pajama but she said it was too small of a place for the machine to embroidered there so I said okay can we do it right above the pocket. Liz said yes and one of the other ladies taped every single pajama where the name was suppose to be. When I came into pick up the pajamas the name was 3 to 4 inches above the pocket it looked like a random spot. To top it off there were collars on my pajamas and it covered part of there name! Seriously... I was really irritated at this moment. I was dealing with a guy who gave me the pajamas and I told him the collar was covering the names. He said it's like that because it's folded like that and when you actually wear it on and fixed it right it wouldn't cover it. So I took the pajama and tried it on for him and he was still arguing with me that I was wearing it wrong. Wtf?! So I told him I wanted to speak with the manage Liz. Liz comes out and I explained to her why I was not happy with how it came out and she said it was a misunderstanding and communication. First off she didn't communicate with me. If she told me in the first place she couldn't originally put it where we had discuss I would have her done it somewhere else or not done it at all... She even told me if I was bigger chested that the name would show. Wow I was speechless when she told me this! Is this how you talk to your paying clients?! No wonder this place got 2 stars! Never think to go to this place to embroid any thing! I went there only once and never going back again for many reasons. First the customer service is really bad the ppl who works there dont know how to deal with customers i studies business administration and i've learned that customer is # 1 and always right no matter what! When i went there to get a baby blanket embroid they charge me 25+ tax which was really expensive ! And i asked to pay part of the money she refused saying that the store policy is to pay the full amount i respected this and paid my money . When i went back to pick it up, a customer was in front of me making an order, the same lady asked the customer if he wants to pay now or when coming back! I told the lady that yesterday i asked u to pay deposit and u refused saying that it is the store policy! And i told her am not coming back again to this store! Guess what !she said dont come back!! Worst place ever. Long story short they ruined my graduation shirts. My family was supposed to wear these shirts with my picture on them. They were supposed to be done by 2pm the day before. Waited u til 12 Midnight!!!! The girl was running back and forth and my shirts were still wrong! She ended up dropping them off...Yup she dropped them off at 2am!! My commencement was at 9am..and behold the shirts were still fucking wrong! Went the Monday after and she refused to give me my money back. Ended up having to dispute the charges. When I need 2pc done it be done in 2 days or so or if i need 65pc done same just a couple days very easy to work with her here and that's what I look for someone quick, good pricing and easy to work with :) read more

I planned on getting a pregnancy announcemwnt shirt done here.So I called and set it up.I emailed the girl a pic and my C.C.#.Then called to follow up.The girl was like ok no problem.I will call you in a few days to let you know it's done she says.Days go by and no call.So I called her and she said it will be done in a day or two.She never once called me.After calling her constantly and never getting a straight answer.I just stopped callling.I never herd from her.So our baby is now born.But never did I get a call saying the shirt was done.I am glad we had a contingency plan for announcing him.I don't understand how this place is still in business! read more

As the economy has changed many service business have had to make cuts,certain reviews about staff may be due to those cuts. Being in business myself it takes a lot to keep the doors open . I ordered several shirts from them at the end of May and here it is the end of July and I haven't received the shirts yet. I'll I've received is a huge runaround- them blaming UPS, them admitting they hadn't yet sent the shirts- and then back to blaming UPS. The website does not work. I submitted two online requests and got emails that someone will call me. No one did. When I called the store, they said that they never go it. Lies! It turns out that Liz (owner) doesn't know how to get access to the website. She changed her pricing for me 3 times. She cannot remember me (even though I just saw her recently) so she keeps increasing the price on the same project! When I paid, I asked her to lower it back to the original quote of 15 bucks but she agreed to do 16 bucks. The end result were two wrinkled tops (they weren't wrinkled before) with faded colors, color-tinged spots on the white background, and again, wrinkled. The male employee said it was dirty but can be wiped off. Lies! They cannot. I would not recommend this place d/t to their 1) questionable pricing and 2) lies. When I picked up my tops, there were already 2 folks who were ready to "duke it" out with the male employee for misspellings on their embroidered towels and a pricing dispute over a hat. According to the client, Liz charged them 12 bucks for the whole design (3 letters) but the invoice came out to 36 bucks (12 bucks per letter). All of the fighting could have been prevented by looking up the invoice. read more

I know there's a lot of hate for this place and those reviewers are entitled to their opinions because they reportedly received bad service. Had I gotten the same experience, I'd be ranting about it here, too. However, my experience here was A+! Upon my arrival, the clerk was already helping another customer, yet he still took the time to acknowledge me and let me know he'd help me soon. Not many places offer this common courtesy any more, and I value it when it happens. When it was my turn, the clerk efficiently guided me through the process and then quickly made a proof based on my specs. He used his experience in what I wanted (embroidering my name and title on my lab coat) to choose fonts that I would like, and I accepted his first attempt. It was only $10 for the first 10 letters and $0.50 for each additional letter, and the quoted wait time was 2 hours! When I returned to pickup my coat, the work was flawless. On August 5 I took two Angels shirts to have custom printed on the back. I was told the shirts would be ready on Monday, August 13. I told the woman taking the order (Lizeth) that I would be out of town and would pick them up the following Monday, August 18. When I arrived to pick the shirts up they hadn't even been started yet. The woman said she had tried to call me to ask a question about one of the shirts She was clearly lying and I then pulled out my phone to show her the list of all my incoming phone calls. When I told her to show me where it indicated that she had called me she grew flustered and then made another excuse. I told her to cancel one order but I had to wait for the other one to be done because I was supposed to bring it to a friend that evening. She finished it in about 10 minutes and when I asked why she was able to finish something in 10 minutes but had not been able to do it in 13 days, she just kept repeating that she had called me. I told her I didn't think I should pay full price ($21.50) and wanted to cancel and receive a a refund on the other still undone item. She wanted my debit card that I had originally used on one of the items (paid cash for the other). I didn't have my debit card with me and she refused to give me a refund on either item because she "couldn't open the cash register". I told her to keep my money. So this "Professional" (not) shop has $75.50 of my money to print a player's name and number on the back of one T-shirt. What kills me is this same shop, same woman, did the same thing to me about 6 months ago. I left two Angels jerseys to have custom printed and came after the date they were promised, and when I arrived they hadn't even been started yet so I had to stand there while she worked on them. Very pleasant when I needed help picking out colors for the hats and shirts I ordered. They made my order better than I imagined. I was just here a couple weeks ago. They are NOT closed. They are by JC Penny on the second floor. I called before I went and talked to Liz, I needed a baby blanket embroidered with the name Kimberly Belle. They were open until 8pm on that weeknight and she quoted me $15 to have it done, I asked if it could be done that night while I waited because it was a gift for the next day, and she said "yes of course not a problem". When I got there she was very nice and patient with me. She helped me pick the perfect color of thread, size and font I was happy with, she even printed it and laid it exactly where I wanted it, I gave her the 'ok' and she had it worked on right away. My son and I went to the food court, got a bite to eat came back and it was perfect. I don't know that I would have recieved that quick of a turn time during busier weekend hours but that is understandable. One of my favorite gifts to give are personalized ones, I will definitely be back. read more

I wish I had read these reviews before I started this journey. they are all smiles behind the counter but haven been able to deliver at the right place and I have now spent 45 minutes sitting outside the store at 4 o'clock to 5 o'clock on this Friday evening and there's nobody in the store.
