He showed us a single sample board that seemed like a decent match at the time. But when we came to see the installed floors, we were absolutely shocked--and heartbroken--by how off the final result was. I literally cried. We had already paid him $10,000, and he insisted the floors were the same species of wood, refusing to acknowledge how bad the match looked. He also said he wouldn't fix it unless we paid double in product costs. Every flooring expert we've shown it to has been stunned he considered this a "match." Even people who know Kevin can't believe this is his work. We feel completely defeated and out $10k. That said, the floors are being ripped out today. We're starting over with someone new who, within an hour, found three options that already look far better than what we were originally given.

ChatGPT gave me a range of $500-$900 for the job in my area. Quality - looks great, watched some of the work and I could tell they were trying to do it right and not cut any corners. Service - great communication throughout the project and was not pushy on sales like some of the other companies. Really kind person and I wish most contractors were like him. I had them install baseboards, fix a section of my floor, and restain my floors. I went on vacation while they did this. I came back to all the windows in my house and doors left open. Anyone could have came in. The baseboards were not painted, there was dust everywhere, they got stain on many of my cabinets. They did come out to paint the baseboards but got paint on the floor. I paid to have the furniture moved and ended up having to help move in myself. Additionally, the workers that did the actual work were not even from the same company. I doubt that they were even legal. I could get past most of this but one of the repairs only lasted a few months then broke again. When I reached out they gave me the run around, then when they did come out said that my floors were not installed probably, and that was the issue. I asked when they did not disclose this prior to the project they said that they did not know. They refused to repair it and were very rude about it. I have no choice but to report them to the licensing board and go to court to collect damages to repair my floor. Do not use this company.

Took over a year of denial that the cheaper finish was used before finally adding only one coat of the commercial finish. A couple of the newly installed flooring buckled. Took nearly a year to finally agree to repairs, but did not replace buckled boards, as is the industry standard, only tacked backed down so when the boards re-buckled another, months more of repair excuses. An outside Contractor replaced buckled boards, with the promise from Jose that he would reimburse me. Months later, I am still waiting for the promised reimbursement. There are some other uneven newly installed boards that I choose to overlook as they are more cosmetic. In disbelief, I reiterated my [very simple] question; "Do you service the El Dorado county area?" She said she didn't know (having JUST spoken with her "manager") and that she'd have to leave a message. Unbelievable. Who hires someone to answer the phones for a service-based business and doesn't train them in the basics of their company and the services they offer? To the owner of this seemingly professional company: Please take the time to train (or re-train) your staff so they can properly and professionally represent the business you have worked so hard to build. I was so excited to get new floors, I emptied my entire apartment onto my patio, they said they would be here around one. At three I began calling, A bit concerned that they were way past the window, they assured me they were coming. It wasn't until 6 o'clock at night they told me that they were not coming. I had to move all of my belongings back inside of my apartment as I cannot leave them outside on my open patio. They assured me they would come the next day with the manager, buy me some lunch and also give me a gift card for my troubles in addition to moving all of my belongings back outside for me. The manager came the next day, I do not remember his name he apologized, did not give me the gift card I was promised nor the lunch. It was raining that day so they were unable to move my stuff outside as it would get wet, but they assured me they could do the job by just moving my stuff from one side of the room to the other. They did, but did not cover anything, I spent weeks cleaning up sawdust. They also broke one of my picture frames and chipped one of my pots. Terrible experience, I am still waiting on my gift card, and to be compensated for the day of work I missed, And the hotel I had to stay in because I could not sleep in my oapartment.
