I wish I had found the Yelp reviews before I signed up but you get what you pay for -- a fly by night outfit that uses Google Voice to screen out calls; that says it's so busy that my Groupon offer will expire in October 2015 and they don't have availability until NOVEMBER! When I inquired about his four (then) negative reviews on Yelp, he said that he had hundreds of satisfied customers. When I asked why they didn't post on Yelp he said that the service industry lacks customers willing to post positive reviews. Really? What a fantastic experience!!!! Completely professional from start to finish. The cleaner got onto his knees to clean the floor. Can you imagine that???!!!! The place never looked so good. zero stars! clown ops! bought groupon in late spring. clown ops had to reschedule twice. i called to confirm a few days before service. they called back and left a message,"we are over booked and understaffed, tell groupon you want a refund or reschedule in 2016." joke operation that will make money on the lazy people that wont call groupon to get their money back. lastly, groupon will only give you "grouponbucks" for this weak deal. read more

My story is similar to every other review. We booked a Groupon appointment 3 months in advance. I called a few days before the scheduled cleaning to confirm. I got my house ready for cleaning, made sure I was home, and no one showed up! I have left 3 messages and no one has called me back. Avoid, avoid, AVOID!! read more

Unfortunately I used this company from a Groupon and what a mistake that was! They explained I would have to be up charged for a "move out" although the house was clean and almost empty ..I detailed the areas to be concentrated on and was extremely disappointed in the results ( the one employee was alone ) I called to let them know how unhappy I was,so they agreed to come back the next morning. Two cleaners showed up this time and the one that was there the day before explained he was just tired from too much over time... After awhile the woman ( who hadn't told me that she was the owner) said she would like to finish the floor so I suggested to take my dog for a walk..when i returned approximately 15 min later they were gone! It wasn't until a hour or so later i noticed my small tile top table must have been knocked over and a chunk of the tile broken! I called and asked for the owner but I had to leave a message at another company, when she did call back I asked her about the table and she screamed at me and accused me of "trying to pull something!"and promptly hung up.. I put the charge in dispute, but since it is considered a service they couldn't do anything for me- Stay away from this company- not reputable and certainly not PROFESSIONAL!! read more

After purchasing the groupon we scheduled an appointment for mid-Nov (which was their next available time slot). Today called to see if we could reschedule. Was told by the rude individual that they have shut down that part of the business, they will not perform the cleaning per our booked appointment, and that they would not honor the groupon. The guy said to take up the matter with groupon. Without any further explanation the rude guy just hung up. We are very upset with Professional Playmates. They did not even bother to notify us that the service will not happen, only when we called to reschedule did they tell us they are not going to do the work. I had a very bad experience with Professional Playmates. I got a Groupon and called them up and they said they had a slot available the coming thursday. But when I said I already had a groupon i was told that I would need to wait for more than two weeks if I had to book using the groupon and that they could give me the new customer discount and give me 4 hours for 79$ if I went directlyy with them. I went with that. A lady came in first and then did some cleaning and then another guy came in after half an hour. All they did was clean 2.5 bathrooms and the kitchen counter. They did not have enough cleaning equipment/supplies. I would never use this again. Also they went back and forth from their truck to get cleaning supplies every half an hour, saying they had forgotten or thought that the other person had it. read more

Terrible service! I wish I would have read these comments before I booked the cleaning appointment. I saw a Groupon and decided to call and was convinced that I was getting a better deal going direct. Boy was I wrong. I asked for a deep cleaning in my bathroom and regular cleaning in the rest of the house. The man took way too much time in the bathroom, and not only did he break the shower head, he didn't dust the lights nor completely remove all of the soap scum on the walls and ceiling that I specifically asked for. When he told me about the accident he apologized and was about to end the job and refund my money. However, I really needed him to finish the rest of the house so I asked if to compensate he could stay the extra time over the 3 hrs I booked to complete the cleaning. He begrudgingly agreed. By this time I had to leave so I asked if it was OK if I leave him with my 20 yr old son. He said it was fine. When I returned he was gone, I was very disappointed with the results. Not only did he not properly dust (some areas look as if he completed ignored it) or vacuum but he left my kitchen smelling mildewy as If he used a dirty rag to clean. When corresponding with the manager via email about my experience and dissatisfaction he was so defensive and unprofessional. I emphasized about the deep cleaning in the one bathroom, and was told the person they sent was not experienced in deep cleanings. Then why would you send someone not suitable for the job? When my bf and I tried removing some of the scum with a bathroom scrubber it did come off with a lil work. I think he was just not wanting to try. I would give less than one star if I could. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I purchased their services through a Groupon deal, offering 4 hours of cleaning for a home with up to 4 bedrooms for $59. I had a one bedroom apartment, no carpet. I was very clear with the gentleman who returned my call that I was moving out, there was no furniture, and that the floors, kitchen and bathroom needed to be cleaned. Only one person came to clean the apartment. He did not have adequate supplies of his own (he borrowed a bucket and mop from my upstairs neighbors!). However, I witnessed him cleaning the floors by sitting on them, sloshing dirty water onto the wood floors, and wiping a wet rag over it. The floors were left soaking wet and appeared to not have even been swept prior to "cleaning". No dusting occurred (visible dust on cabinets), no drawers were cleaned in the entire home (remember, the home was completely EMPTY - no furniture or items of any kind). The shower doors were not cleaned. As soon as he was "finished" he made a very quick exit, did not wait long enough for me to tour the apartment or discuss the "cleaning". Once he left, my friend and I had to borrow towels from a neighbor to go through the entire apartment and try to clean/soak up the puddles of standing water left on all the wood floors. After he left, my landlord came by for the final move-out inspection. He did not seem particularly convinced that anyone had cleaned it, much less a "professional". He was extremely disappointed, as was I, and ended up having to charge us for a real professional cleaner to come and get the apartment into clean and move-in condition. I am a very tidy person, and normally would just have cleaned the apartment myself...especially if I'd known this would happen! However, I was faced with a last minute out-of-state move, and time was of the essence. I had hoped that this great deal on Groupon, of a professional cleaner, would be the perfect time and money saver I needed the weekend I had to move out of state. I was so wrong. The minute they found out I had a groupon, they told me the soonest they could come out was NOVEMBER!?!?!?! 5 months.? I played phone tag with Professional Playmates for about 3 weeks since no one answers the phone...you basically leave a message and they call back when it's convenient for them. When I finally got ahold of the "customer service" rep to make a cleaning appointment (whom I believe is the owner), I expressed my unhappiness with the difficulty in getting ahold of someone. He said to me, "are you calling to make a cleaning appointment or calling to complain?" Wow! No apologies, nothing. He blamed me, his potential customer for their lack of professionalism. I agreed but as the date got closer, I wasn't available. Instead of canceling and probably waiting another two months (or longer based on other reviews), I rearranged my schedule so I could be home for them. BUT, they never showed up. I called and left messages but didn't get a call back for two days. Then they told me that they wouldn't be able to reschedule me and that management is telling him to provide refunds instead. Terrible customer service. They put ads on Groupon and then overbook to a point where it takes 2 months to get an appointment. The person I made a reservation with was busy and rushed and told me the wrong date for my appointment and refused to work out anything. There is a reason that it looks like such a good deal.
