Missed appt, horrible communication, unreliable. We have used OC Dog House Grooming for at least the last 10 years. We loved them, our dogs were familiar with them and we trusted them. We recommended them to friends and family which resulted in at least 6 clients on their regular schedule. Then they ghosted us. Not showing up to our kids' appts, our neighbor then finally missing several appt with us. We contacted Maira in hopes of understanding what was going on. We have gotten various responses to our texts and calls over the past month without a consistent response on why they were ghosting us. We asked to speak with Maira many times as we were concerned for her personally. She nor her husband never called us back. Occasionally they will text us back a day or two after they missed an appt with some excuse. This has been very stressful time for us as our dogs weren't getting groomed, and our calls were being ignored by someone we considered a friend. We know they are working, just not on our dogs or our friends and family's dogs. Maira is loving , caring and very sweet. This silence from Maira is out of character for her. Cut my elderly dog in not one, but two places, and did not alert me upon grooming completion. My dog is 16 years old, and it breaks my heart that near the end of her life, she is limping, in pain, and was in the hands of people who clearly didn't care at all. One cut is on her paw, and the other is on her back leg (BOTH SCABBED OVER SO CLEARLY BLED DURING HER APPOINTMENT). We took her to the vet and had to pay $400 to find the second cut (why she was limping) and that said cut is INFECTED. My elderly dogs paw was cut and is now infected. Reach out on a Wednesday and was given an availability of the first appointment this past Sunday on Mother's Day for a 10:30am appointment for a full groom. Sunday came and 10:30am came and went. No call or updates. I reached out at 1pm to see if they were coming then got a response and said they were running behind. Then another update shortly after saying they could no longer make it due to an accident they had with their groomer. Our Benny gets extremely nervous while getting groomed and it's normally a stressful event for everyone involved. However this was the BEST experience for him. I'm giving 2 stars due to the fact my very first appointment went great grooming wise. But the constant follow up with no response is very unprofessional. The morning of my grooming appointment, two numbers texted me asking if I was confirming for that day so I responded to the first text I had received which had been with the owner. 10 mins before my appointment I received a text from another random number saying they were going to reschedule me since I never confirmed with them. I called that number and sent her screenshots of my confirmation with the main number (that I had originally booked though). She said they never informed her but she will still try to make it within the hour. Her name was Maribel and she was great! She sent me pics of fur baby and did an excellent job. I reach out months later to schedule another appointment and no response. I wait two weeks and send another text, get a response and then ignored again after one text. Unfortunately, they have lost my business. Not that they care as they probably are not responding to many people due to the fact that they are busy. If you're looking for the worst customer service, who won't respond to texts messages or voicemails, and CANNOT commit to an appointment time/date then hire OC Dog House Grooming. I can't provide feedback on how good/bad they are on grooming dogs because they never showed up, MULTIPLE TIMES. I set aside a few hours on a Saturday to make sure I was home the entire time since it was the first time we'd be using their service, and my appointment time was set for 10am. After multiple calls and texts I finally get a response at 12pm that they can't make it out and have to reschedule for the following weekend. Get a text from the owner, Kevin, saying they're having issues with their system and have to reschedule me again for the following weekend, "with a discount." Okay, cool no worries I get it. Saturday appointment scheduled for first thing in the morning, 8am. GUESS WHAT! Didn't show up and got another text apologizing they can't make it out but will come out the next day, Sunday at 8am and it's FREE on them due to the inconvenience. What do you think happened the following day? Nothing! No text, not call, no response. I texted them asking for an ETA and they completely blew me off and decided to not even respond. These guys do a great job grooming dogs.. if they show up to their appointment. The first time they claimed they had my dog scheduled for a different day then what they originally told me. Second time they had to reschedule because their van got hit in a parking lot. Our maltipoo, who is a new to the family rescue and very wary of strangers did very well with them! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. They have to be the biggest compulsive liars I have ever met. OC Grooming always cancels the day of appointment for a variety of reasons: employee didn't show up to work (even though now it's just the owners working now so that's no longer a valid reason), their van broke (about 5x which just isn't believable anymore), he got bit by a dog at his first appointment, his car broke and he had to take it to the shop, they forgot it was x day and put us down for another day, they got covid, their other van got stuck in the parking lot, etc. I mean the list goes on with this company. I was willing to be okay with their reasons for cancelation in the beginning since of course things can happen, but after canceling multiple appointments last minute, there is NO way all of this can be happening. I have other friends who used to use them and they were giving the same reasons to cancel their appointments too. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are so unprofessional, not worth the headache.
