Busted leak. Had to make a fast move and call property management. This lady by the name of Tammy B. Called me right back and informed me that she would get right on it. She totally understood how a single mother has to be superMOM at all times. I had to pick my son up from school. She talked on the phone with me while I was driving to the school took my cellphone number and put me on hold. She called a plumber and told me that within the hour she would call me back with the ETA. Ms Tammy called me back within 30 min. She informed me that he would be on his way shortly. Gave me his name his cell phone info just in case. Sh even gave me her direct number just in case I wouldnt get a hold of anyone. I love how she made me feel calm and not stressed. RENTER BEWARE!!! I am a qualified homeowner with a 760 credit rating and more than enough verifiable income. I paid application fees and submitted a complete application NINE days ago. What has followed is a frustrating disaster of non-communication and some sort of game playing. I have been told repeatedly that my application was completed and being sent to the manager repeatedly, only for them to come back and ask for the same information that was already given. I would call to follow up and the Application Specialist would not return my calls. When I finally called back and insisted to hold for him, he would get on the call very disorganized and try to insist he was waiting for me to send document. Then I would tell him exactly when they were submitted, then the next day they would invent some new arbitrary request To intentionally delay the process. They systematically and seemingly intentionally kept me on the hook for nine days until admitting that they rented to someone else! It gets better... they are refusing to refund my application fees!!! Best case: their staff is disorganized and unprofessional. Worst case: there are some sort of shady business practices that are holding would-be renters hostage while they play games. If you are considering listing your home with these people, I would highly suggest that you look elsewhere--I'm not sure they are capable of getting tenants through the process. read more

This review is for the homeowners that wants to find a property management company to manage their property. RPM managed my property for 10 years. I decided to terminate their service for the reasons that I listed below. 1. During the vacancy period from May 2024 to August 2024. They are using a lock box to store the key to show my property during rental posting period. Anyone contacting them can go to my property themselves alone, without supervision, and I was charged $301.25 for 29 billing days for the PG&E bill for the month of July. I asked RPM why a vacant property's PG&E bill is higher than my PG&E bill for my own house, and who was in the property. Their response was "The owner is responsible for paying for the electricity bill. There was no camera system so we didn't know who was there." I received PG&E bills with an unusual amount for two months, for June, I was only paying $51.26 and that seems a reasonable amount for a vacant property. 2. I paid a total of $418 for a crew to come weekly to take care of that during the vacancy period. I received 3 notices from my property HOA regarding the fact that the landscape is not properly maintained. When I checked with RPM, this was their response, "the landscaper was going to the home every other week and cutting the grass/weeds but he was not watering the lawn as that is something that should happen more frequently than every two weeks, especially with the heat in Pittsburg," My new property management company found out that because the water system never worked which RPM never brought this up to my attention. The water riser and main shut off valve are corroded and don't work properly. 3. I paid $715 for deep cleaning. However, when I went to my property on June 1, 2024. The property wasn't clean and trash was on the floor, sink and toilet were dirty. They are already showing my property to public. I did notify them for the issue, they said they will send someone to do another cleaning. But the fact that they posted my property to the public when it isn't ready to show. They failed to do a good job on manage my property. They have to keep lower the rent amount they listed because no one wants to rent the property with the condition that are showing (check pics), 4. Sending me an invoice to pay for another property located in another city. When I inquired, they said the vendor made a mistake sending them the wrong one. So, they are not reviewing the invoice when they sending it to the owner and asking them to pay. Unbelievable! I saved all the emails and invoice and reported to BBB. 5.They were either not knowing the contract well or lied to me when I ask if I can terminate their service. I spoke to the manager in beginning of September, 2024 regarding the PG&E billing issue. When he refused to find a solution, I ask if I can terminate their service. He first said, "yes". Then when I asked if that will affect the new tenant's lease, he then said, "oh if you have to terminate the service now, you have to pay us 12 months management fee as a penalty because you just renewed the tenant lease." They sent me an email saying that they will remind me next year at the same time to terminate the service. After I review my property management agreement, I found out I only need to give them 30 days' notice to terminate their service which I did right away. Their lack of knowledge in their professional area and failed to review their contract before provides an answer to their client have totally lost my trust for them to continue manage my property. 6. There are lots of issues that my new property management company had found after they took over. I had filed a complaint on BBB. Thanks for reading this long review. It is with more than frustration that I had to write this review about the lack of organization this property management has to offer their tenants. Unfortunately, this place was sold and the property owner decided to change the property management to what was RPM now Legacy. We have worked with this company in getting them all the necessary documents and additional information. This is the 2nd year, we are renewing our lease and now we are being met with a violation of the lease. Our son became an adult prior to renewing with them the year prior and we weren't told he needed to be added as an adult to the lease. Keep in mind, we have been here the last 4 years and told by the previous property manager that we wouldn't need to do anything as we moved in a few years before he became an adult. On the new lease, it doesn't state anywhere that we would have to do anything when a dependent child becomes a dependent adult or aged out to what is considered an adult. Fast forward, this is now the second year and we are renewing our lease again and now are being told their was a violation. Now, I spoke with Annalisia (one of their property manager) whom told me that we were in violation but they wouldn't charge the violation, we would need to fill out the background check by April 24th- this has been completed in the time frame that was given, but with so much back and fourth, I decided to let my husband handle the matter as I started to get frustrated. My husband, now dealing with a new (property manager- Marsela) has been updated on the frustration we have had to deal with since Legacy's take over assuming she really understood and was reeled in with all the emails that went back and fourth. A new lease was sign with adding my son as an adult and I'm trying to get things rolling as rent is due on the 1st (it's the 30th and a Friday) and no, I didn't know there was a five day grace period as it doesn't say on the lease but I have always paid rent on time and didn't want that lingering on my mind, but now we are being told we need to pay the violation when we were told we didn't need too. So, no, we are not going to pay. I called their office multiple times on Friday the 30th and for some reason, the property manager Marsala would be too busy to call me back or get on the phone and talked to me. Prior to their office closing at 5 PM. But Marsela was able to send me a long email after the office closed??? This place is a joke! And I agree with all the one stars on here. Run! If I could give ZERO stars I would. I did not like this company since I signed my lease on my last rental. They NEVER fixed certain things found in the walk through when I moved in. They NEVER gave me a key to the side door or back door of the house even though they said they would so I had no access to those doors the whole time I lived there if they were locked. I couldn't wait to move after my lease was up. Now I receive a letter of what they will keep of my deposit (more than 21 days after, even though they have 21 days), and they are keeping $950 for "internal cleaning" even though a paid a company $550 to clean the house including all appliances, windsills etc. I called today to talk to someone about getting pictures of what they possibly needed to clean and NO ONE will talk to me. They said "we don't discuss deposit refunds on the phone". WHAT!!! Who doesnt talk to people on the phone about whatever they are calling about? That is crazy to me. At this point, they sent my deposit letter late, did not include receipts as they are supposed too and won't talk to me so I am going to demand my full deposit and report to BBB if not. This place is the WORST property management company I have ever dealt with and I have dealt with a few in the last 10 years of my life. Back to the real facts: - They are unreachable when you need them, property managers does not have a direct phone number, if you call to speak to the person you want to reach, the wait time is usually more than 30 mins. They are VERY SLOW on respond to your email, usually takes more than 5 days to hear back once you sign the contract. - If you are Landlord, they don't take good care of your property. Anyone can self-touring your property easily, they just gave out a lockbox code to anyone who shows interest. You also required to maintain utility of the house during vacant, so any homeless people can live in your house once they know the lockbox code. The assigned manager will never show up to your house to check if the self-touring people ever damage or misused the house until you find out yourself. - If you're Tenant, they will just take your money and never do the work on any of your demand, including repairing and cleaning because they don't have enough capacity just like the legal document Pdf stated. They also terrible in remembering things and you will end up submitting information multiple times but still require to provide more fees. If you're unfortunate signed the contract already and stuck in the vague and unfair treaty. Beside calling your attorney, you can report their misconduct to following government complaint departments: 1. State Department of Consumer Affairs, for example, if you're in California, you can visit dca.ca.gov. 2. Department of Real Estate. 3. BBB.org 4. Federal Trade Commission: ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Keep in mind that if you have enough evidence to support their misconduct, you don't need to pay any fees that they claimed they are in title to. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere whether you're looking to rent or have your home managed. After continually moving back the "ready" date for this property they finally let us take what the property manager Natalie called a sneak peek. The home was filthy. There was food and crumbs left behind in the kitchen drawers, curtains were pulled down and thrown behind the spa, body hair in the shower and grimy lint in all the closet tracks. The carpet in the sunroom was worn through and it smelled of mold. I was quite honestly shocked. When I asked if it could be cleaned then we would view it again, I was informed that a deep clean had been performed. Every time I inquired about the status of the home and when it would be move in ready I was given the runaround. I was told if I wasn't going to move forward (without seeing it cleaned and repaired) then they were going to skip to the next approved applicant. I could to on and on about how disappointed I am in this whole experience with RPM but the bottom line is that if this is the way they do business why would I want to do business with them. I'm out $200+ in application fees and the while they say the applications are good for any other home one their site... they literally have no other homes listed. Now I see why. read more

I applied for a really nice house located in Suisun and within minutes the property was taken off the market. I had assumed I was approved since I have excellent credentials. The leasing staff had been communicating with me until that afternoon. A week went by and after not hearing anything I contacted them only to be told someone else was approved before me. They did a hard pull on my credit and took my $45 knowing they already had someone else moving into the property. They said they would not credit my application fee but I could use it towards another of their properties. They only have 2 crappy properties available. Unfortunately I should of read their reviews before even applying, they are truly con artists. All for $45. I will never do business with this company even if they had something nice to choose from. Live and learn I guess. To the owner or whoever responded: The property was on the market for 2 months, you dropped the price twice the last time on July 22nd. You are telling me you pulled it the listing the same day I applied because of so much interest? Yeah right. I used to be a property manager I know exactly how long it takes to get approval. My credit check and rental verification happened the same day. There is no need to for my application to sit around for 3 days to get approved. Again, I used to be a property manager and know the process. And thanks for your timely response to my complaint! Nobody bothered to call me and tell me I did not get the house. If you have properties you want to be managed, do not use this company. I have had nothing but constant problems with them. From mishandling the State taxes since I moved out of state, to monitoring the property and tenants. They pay you at the end of the month, so they get to use your money interest-free for a month. They don't personalize the renting process. Instead, they put a lockbox on your property and let anyone who calls enter it without supervision. After four months unrented, I went back and checked the property. I found the blinds pulled down and the sliding glass door left unlocked. When I gave them notice I was ending our contract, they started right away by sending demands for insurance changes for the last month and a half. They wanted the working of the homeowner's policy to be changed. Mercury has a specific section for Property management entries. They either are even more incompetent than I originally thought, or it is a blatant attempt at harassment. Either way, it is just one of the many ways they are terrible! read more

THIS EFFECTIVELY MADE THE HOME UNINHABITABLE. B. The first part of remedying this HVAC problem was for the HVAC technician to TOTALLY shut down THE ENTIRE HVAC SYSTEM(both air and heat) FOR 24hours To allow the pipes to thaw...again THIS RENDERS THE HOME UNINHABITABLE!!! Rpm THOUGHT they had an ace in the hole with the whole "California doesn't require landlords to provide AC point" and Brandon once again ATTEMPTED to confuse the reader by elaborating on this point by comparing our situation to something MUCH DIFFERENT. Brandon says we can't expect rom or the home owner to "put us up in a hotel every time something breaks down in the home" That's the POLAR opposite of what happen here!!! I agree that if this had happen DURING THE COURSE on our tenancy we would have owed RPM/home owner more understanding..BUT IN OUT CASE THE AIR CONDITIONING WASNT WORKING FROM THE MOMENT WE STEPPED INTO THE HOME ON OUR MOVE IN DAY!!! Weeks later a person from the company told me I had to pay the fee or they'll send me to a collection agency. Do not use this company. They are con artist. I was charged for several repair/work orders and I was not communicated as to what the cost would be. I have started to only use email correspondence to document my case against them. I suspect they have overcharge others but perhaps they were not caught. Please contact me for potential. They fessed up to charges being excessive and offered a small Compensation. This is from an actual email. I have also posted email correspondence with several representatives. We always have carpets cleaned and homes cleaned before tenants move in as our leases require the tenants to do the same when they move out. The home had been sitting vacant for months which is why it was necessary to have it cleaned for any incoming tenant. Now, I do agree the cost was probably excessive. We have spoken with our vendor and were able to reduce the cost from $429 to $360. According to our vendor the smoke stained walls were in the bathroom, not from cigarette smoke but likely from candles or incense. read more

This is the worst, most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. They were quick to charge me but couldn't show property, e-mail me back, send me information or keep me updated. I gave RPM 1 Star because they let the ball drop at the end of my contract with them. Up to that point, service was pretty good, 4.0; I received rents on time and repairs, when needed, were duly reported. My point of contention is with the dispute I was left with once the tenants moved out. Tenants alleged RPM didn't do timely repairs. RPM, I'm sure, will contest this. At any, rate, I'm left with plumbing problems and now my place has roaches which were never in the unit prior to tenant move-in. I paid for three(3) inspections over the year. No report ever mentioned roaches, only that the unit was dirty. Now, the tenant is claiming ignorance. Additionally, there is a dispute about where the tenant was told to leave the keys. RPM and the tenant do not agree. Now, I don't have a set of keys to my house, the community pool, my mailbox or remote for the garage. I had to pay to get all new locks and a new remote.Good business means that even if a contract is coming to an end for an agent, it is good business practice to honor all obligations to the end. RPM never tried to retrieve my keys for me. I understand it may have been an inconvenience, but they were paid a $99.00 fee for collecting 5 days worth of rent. Sarah (I could be miss spelling her name since there are many possible spellings. If I am, my apologies) was wonderful. There was a property that was coming up for rent and she gave me the details and encourage that we submit an application. Once we submitted an application, Ryan became involved and that is where things took a dive. He never responded to phone calls or emails. He would send emails at 7:30pm and we would respond to him asap, then we wouldn't hear back from him. Several times he sent emails at midnight and as soon as we received them in the morning we responded with whatever information he was looking for (most of the information had already been submitted a couple of times). Then after responding to his midnight emails, he would send the same EXACT email 4 more times. Ryan wanted our landlord to call him for verification of our tenancy, so we went in as soon as the office opened to ask our landlord to call Ryan. They did so immediately we watched them call him. No response! So we called and left a voicemail, no response! Our landlord call all day long, no response. We tried emailing him, no response! We spent $90 on applying, which is fine, we understand that is the cost of renting a house. We even paid an additional $20 for our pet screening. So here we are $110 into the process and we haven't even view the property because it wasn't "ready" yet. The management finaly opened the property for us to take a tour and it was fine (no refridgerator or washer/dry but it did have a new oven.) Nothing great but nothing bad and we were willing to move forward. We were a stong applicant, steady income, 3X the rent, never been evicted, high credit scores, no criminal record, even our pet was the right size. We were required to submit a picture of my family with our pet. We understand that they want to screen for the pet and that you can pull any picture of the internet and say that is your pet. HOWEVER, when you submit a picture of you & your pet they get a TON of information that they are not legally allowed to ask you. Race, ethnicity and an idea of your social economic status. They might want to revamp that policy or there could be a lawsuit heading their way. Just saying. They told us that we were the first application and they were going to send our application up to "management" for approval. Then all-of-a-sudden, we were now the 2nd applicant and the so called first applicant had the right to sign or not sign the lease first. Of course they did because renting a house in a decent neighborhood at a decent price is rare. What upsets me the most is that they were not honest about where we stood in the process. If we knew that we were 2nd, we would have continued to apply for other homes. Just beware! Keep asking where you are in the whole application process so you can make the right decision for you and your family. Try to avoid Ryan as much as possible if you can. My guess, and it is only a guess, he has another job and does this job at night hence all the late night emails. There are a lot of other property management companies out there that are far more transparent with the process of applying for rental properties, try them first. read more

First of all i am frustrated and pissed! I paid the $93 Dollars on April 13, 2019 for the application! Its been 11 days and this Ryan Fernandez keeps telling me he is working on the application! Since my last review, they jacked up the rent another $200 a month and still have not completed there repairs. We decided to move out. What a wonderful process that was. We showed them plenty of evidence that the house was not cleaned properly when we moved in (email and pictures)(note my previous comments). My wife and mother in-law spent 2 full days scrubbing and cleaning that place top to bottom. They still charged us a cleaning fee! Best part... The cleaning company is the main managers family. I have seen two rentals I was interested in listed on Craigslist, but their website and ads indicate they charge a $150 "PSI" fee to move in. I finally emailed to find out what this fee was and Brandan Nordell responded with "It is a $150 one time fee you pay when you move in. It covers a move out and move in inspection that we provide copies of. We also provide an online tenant portal where you can pay rent online, request maintenance repairs, and access all of your documents. There is also a 24 hour maintenance hotline provided." So they want tenants to pay to pay for the "privilege" of paying online (when, really, that clearly benefits them), they want to charge for the move in and move out inspections that every other reputable management company provides at no charge, and they want tenants to have to PAY in order to report an after hours maintenance emergency!? None of that seems like a $150 value to me, as a tenant. Additionally, when I mentioned that if a landlord wants to withhold a portion of the deposit, they are required to provide an itemized list of deductions (i.e. provide proof they inspected the unit), Brandan said "there is no such law". Which REALLY was a huge red flag for a property management company to either not be aware of tenant landlord law OR to lie about it. I hope owners realize that when they place their properties with this company, they probably are losing out on great tenants and appearing super shady. As a tenant, I'm going to stay FAR away from this place! My interactions with this company don't make me want to do business with them at all. read more

I can't speak for other owners but my experiences with RPMS have all been positive. Living out of the area, we were looking for a property management company that was professional and courteous not only to the homeowner but also to tenants. They found tenants quickly and are always responsive to our needs. Another plus is that they run background checks on applicants so we are able to rest assured that we have good tenants. We have never been bothered with tenants having maintenance issues. RPMS staff are quick to respond and get things fixed. We've been using this property management company for a couple of years and from what I can tell, our tenants are happy and so are we. I would definitely recommend RPM to anyone looking for property management. read more

Plus, when the one of my renters was late, they would charge me the late fee instead of the tenant! This happened three times. I have only contacted the agents of this company via phone, and have never met them in person. Yet after my experience today with one of their agents, I doubt I will deal with them at all from this point on. I had an appointment to see a home I was interested in renting out earlier today. When I got to the home, I saw a car parked on the driveway and thought it was the car of the agent (Brandon is his name). I was looking forward to seeing this home, so I knocked on the door, expecting to see the agent. I was greeted by a lady instead. She turned out to be the tenant of this house. I told her about my appointment, and she told me that the agent, Brandon, called her to cancel this appointment. BUT HE DID NOT CALL ME ABOUT IT! Never got a call or even a text about it from him beforehand. I just talked to this agent the day before to reschedule my appointment, and he agreed to it. If I wanted an appointment canceled, I would be the one to cancel it. Not the agent, and especially him keeping mum about it. I already had a tough day earlier, and this was just more garbage to deal with. I called up the agent after and confronted him on this issue. The best he did was apologize and say that the property was already rented out by someone else. He even came up with some lame excuse like "we didn't get your name" on the appointment. The same person that called me and addressed me by my name just yesterday! I wanted to talk to Brandon's manager, but he said they were not available at the time. If his manager is reading this post, I would like to have him or her discuss this issue to him, and that he should get FIRED for his incompetence. If they really need some business (and, judging by most of the reviews here, it seems like they do), their agents need to practice some professionalism and honor the commitments made their potential clients. As a current tenant of one of RPM's properties, I would not recommend them. Ever since I moved in I have had trouble with the staff at RPM. The staff are very unprofessional, unfriendly and not motivated to do their job. The secretary is rude, the office manager is always away or "unavailable" and it is like pulling teeth around there to get something done. E.g. Today I called because I received an email claiming that I was late on my utilities. When I signed onto RPM's tenant portal it was stating I had a utility bill past due and also a late fee, which tripled the utilities in cost. Since I just paid the rent and utilities 15 days ago, I decided to call. When the secretary answered the phone, I asked to be connected with the office manager. I was then put on hold. The secretary then picked up asking me what the call was concerning and I told her my issue (obviously the property manager was too busy to do her job). After telling the secretary my issue, she then stated that it was my fault because I was past due. Once again I explained that I paid my bills 15 days ago. The secretary got extremely rude with me. Her tone was snooty and at several occasions during the call she began to laugh at my issue. At this point I got unfriendly and I wasn't going to be charged for their mistakes... Moments later she put me on hold to talk to the property manager. Once the secretary came back, she informed me it was their system that glitched and I would be refunded (thankfully)... This whole mishap could have been avoided if the property manager would have taken my call, instead of avoiding it, in general. At the end of the day, RPM is the middleman between lessor and lessee and should be working to please their customers on both ends. The staff's attitude and methods of handling many situations is unprofessional, and working customer service for 15 years I know that is not the way a company should handle things... In a few months I plan on paying whatever fees and terminating my lease, due to my negative experience with RPM and if you are a property owner I would take your business elsewhere unless you want your tenants vacating due to the unprofessional staff (that you are trusting with your property) at RPM. read more

The most absolute worst management of property I have ever had to deal with. Namely, there is property manager, Julie, who is rude and I do not think she is very accommodating to military personnel. My wife and I showed up one day at 1150 to sign papers. When we arrived, this woman was outside the building with her colleagues ready to go to lunch. When she saw us and asked what we were here for, we notified her we were here to pay our deposit on a house; she threw a fit and stated, "You had to come on the hour of lunch?!" Let me just say one thing about this woman, disrespectful. I have served 26 years in the military, risked my life and have been inconvenienced to say the least. This woman had the audacity to tell me how I inconvenienced her?! This woman has no respect, interpersonal skills and I hope she is no longer working for this company. I will NEVER go to Real Property Management again. Moreover, she accused us for not paying our rent on time, where in fact I had to personally call her to let her know we dropped off our check. Absolute lunacy and does not take care of business in a professional or courteous manner. This woman needs to be fired. read more

I was appalled by a recent encounter with one of your employees in the leasing office - someone whom I hope is not representative of your company as a whole. When you hear what transpired, I am sure you will agree. I was recently denied a rental application per Mr. Ryan Fernandez for only making 2.8x the rent instead of 3x. When I called back to try to explain the discrepancy of my pay I was encountered with an employee who sounded as if he didn't have the time of day to hear me out. Not only was I talked over, but when I tried to explain the additional income I receive from my employer and my recent pay increase that only reflected on 2 of my pay stubs he acted as if he didn't have time to hear another sob story. With a big cooperation I understand that you may not have wiggle room, or that you may have to deal with numerous different personalities on a daily basis because I've worked for one myself. But as a "customer" per say dealing with someone who is supposed to be one of the faces of your company I expect more. Even if he didn't care about what I had to say he could've take the opportunity to just listen and understand my concern. And I find it hard to believe that you would knowingly employ someone who is unprofessional as such. I'm currently renting from one of your properties and was looking to move into one of your other properties because i'm at the end of my lease. Is it standard procedure to have a current tenant looking to move into a larger property treated as someone new? (re-running credit, being denied, even though the income for both parties is still substantial) My significant other and I easily gross 200,000/year. I would hope our application would be reconsidered for the rental we recently applied for and someone actually hear me out. read more

I am a homeowner who had Real Property Management Select manage a house that I have for one year and decided not to renew the contract. There have been many issues during my time dealing with them: 1. They have a huge employee turnover rate and do an abysmal job at communicating about who's taking over and email forwarding. During my one year with them, I had three different property managers. Earlier this year, I had to call their office to find out that my house was being managed by someone else and they had a new operation manager, explaining why they never returned my emails all of a sudden. Unfortunately, repairs that were overseen by the former property manager never took place because of this (I tried contacting Tammy and India, but they never followed through either). 2. They have poor accounting practices and do not care about their clients' privacy. They once emailed information about my house (address, repairs, etc) to other clients as an attachment, only had to apologize afterwards. Other clients' lease info containing owners' SSN, signature, home address, birthdate, etc, were uploaded to my account. Often times, I received rent late because they had delays with accounting. 3. They are very secretive about tenant screening and try their best not to allow direct communication between the owner and the tenant. When they first found me the tenant, they claimed that they had good credit. However, the rent began to be late just on the second month. I understand why they do not want direct contact between the owner and the tenant, but in the end, the tenants had to text me directly instead for repairs because it always took a long time had they gone through the management. 4. They do a poor job at inspections. Before the tenants moved in, they performed a move-in inspection which only said very few things to repair. However, within the first two months when the tenants moved in, the repairs were non-stop. In the mid-year inspection that they did, none of the pictures were clear. Each inspection cost me money. 5. They could never be reached by email or by letter. One has to call. Towards the end of my contract with them, I sent them many emails and none were returned. When I called them, trying to be connected to the operation or the property manager, they were either out of office, in a meeting, or busy, and the returns of emails or calls promised by the front desk never materialized. 6. They spent over fifty days after the expiration of my contract with them to return the tenant's security deposit and keys. No reason was ever given to me (I could never reach them) and it was in fact a big surprise to see the returns in the mail. I would never recommend Real Property Management Select to anyone. After signing with them, I had to deal with both the tenants and the property management. You might as well save your time and money, and manage it yourself. read more

Don't involve yourself with these unprofessionals. It's sad how they treat potentials clients because they know they have what you need... A place to live. We were denied for insufficient income, however we made 3x the rent monthly, when I addressed this I was instructed that the home had been rented out last week. I APPLIED AND PAID ON A FRIDAY AND WAS DENIED 8 am MONDAY. WHICH TELLS ME THEY HAD A TENANT AT THE TIME I APPLIED. I had to call them multiple times, not once did they ever call me. There is no welcome or human feel, if looking to just be forwarded to a voicemails and be ripped off these are your guys! read more

Unfortunately I have nothing but a terrible experience with this company for the last year or so. When I first started my relationship with them everything was great. I worked with Tami Basa and then Lori. Soon after everything went downhill. From waiting over 6 months for the repair of a leaking sink to now during the move out process. I notified RPM in May/June timeframe of my intent to break my lease. I was informed that I would either have to pay out term or pay a lease break fee. So on 7/7 I pay this fee advising them that I could move out as early as 8/15 but I wanted to be out and be done with our relationship NLT 9/1. Now they had these date back when I first advised them. I did not hear from them after I paid fee. I would email and no response. On Monday 7/20 I called to get an update and was advised that Branden N. who was in charge or my property had been in vacation. The property was not even listed until 9 days later 7/29. Throughout the time it was listed until 8/20 there was no contact and then on 8/20 Branden contacts me advising they have someone but They need to move in 4 days later. I advise due to Evacuation order because of LNU fires I could not have property ready in 4 days so I would be continuing with my previously established 9/1 date. I turn keys in on 8/31 and leave property in impeccable shape. On 9/15 I receive a call from Branden threatening me because I had turned off the water to property and he could not do an inspection (he's had keys since 8/31 @ 2pm) i disconnected water on 9/9 which provided ample time for inspection. I had to contact city and reconnect water. Fast forward 21 days after turning in my keys I ask about my deposit and I am told I am responsible for rent until 9/17. I proceed to reiterate all that I have stated here about dropping the ball and Poor Customer Service as well as advising that I know renters have been in property for a few days as I only moved around the corner. I once again receive a very abrasive email advising me that they are taking the days of rent no matter what has happened read more

So far I am a fan of RPM property management. I have been working with Diann St. Peters and she is tops in my book. She is knowledgeable, professional, courteous and a joy to talk with. She replies promptly to my emails or texts. I have also had interaction with Kat and she is also very professional and a joy to work with. I have not secured a place yet but will definitely report back if I experience the same problems or concerns as previous clients.
