Professional Touch was recommended by a friend for tailoring. We got a suit brought in and it came out perfect. Because of the first great experience, we decided to bring in our jackets and coats with leather for dry cleaning for the first time. We were charged a great price and I was very impress. A few days after receiving the pieces back to the cleaners, I decided I'll wear one of the coats to dinner in the city. On my way to dinner, I couldn't help but noticed a few torn marks on the left wrist area of the coat which looking closely similar to razor marks. My first reaction? I freaked out of course and started looking for any other torn marks. I found the same razor torn marks on the right hand. Now my body is boiling because I went from freaking out to what the fuck! I am sure those who likes nice things like myself, cherish and takes care of what we have. The coats are not just any coat, it's more of an investment. AND when you receive a coat that you expected to get back in the same condition when you had originally dropped it off especially from a company you trusted. However, it gets even better. I got home and closely examine the rest of the coats I dropped off. I found the same razor cut marks on my other coat, but on the trim of the pockets. I def went back to Professional Touch and approach Mario about my complaints and these are the exact responses I got back: Mario: "This is worn out" Me: How so? The same exact razor cut marks are on the other arm. And on the pocket of the other coat. What are the chances of it's happening at three different areas on two separate coats. Mario: "this is not leather, it's plastic" Me: the label says leather, this is a 700$ coat. Why would I pay 700$ for plastic. The fact of the matter is that I never got an apology, and he tried to insult my intelligence as if I can't tell the difference between plastic and leather. He continued to try and justify the damages when clearly, it was their fault. Someone there deliberately used a Brillo pad to clean my leather coats or there is a very unhappy employee working there. In addition, I never got offered a refund, but I did get an offer to "patch" it up. Lol. Great job for the customer service. Next stop: Better Business Bureau. read more

Updating my review. I dropped off some garments to be stitched into backdrops. Simple job. Doesn't need to be fancy or perfect in the back. When I dropped off he said he will take care of me. It will be a good price. When I come to pick it up he tells me $140 for 4 backdrops. Granted it was a perfect job if it was going to be drapes. But they're only backdrops and I didn't plan on spending that much money to get hem stitched smh I will not return for future tailoring jobs. I was told to come back in by the lady at the front desk via Yelp response to my survey and she would take care of everything. I asked for a SIMPLE piece of garment to be stitched around the edges!!!! She said don't worry we will take care of you it's going to be cheap. first time calling they said that they would call me at 12 pm to arrange a pickup, I never received a call. I called at 12:50 pm and asked what the delay was and was met by a rude and crass person over the phone who told me the driver went to lunch. When I was told that the driver is not getting in until 12 pm. Nice place to work where u get lunch the minute u walk in. I have been using professional touch dry cleaners for about 5 years now and lately I haven't been very satisfied. Over the last few months I've been extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the quality of work there, I've picked up my shirts and there have been stains on the shirts I didn't put there and now over the last 2 weeks they lost 2 of my shirts. I can't keep doing this, I can't afford to keep buy new shirts, I need to find a new dry cleaners. read more

THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I drop off my Jeff Gordon DuPont jacket to get cleaned because I haven't worn it since my father passed away, since he gave me it. So the owner says "it will be done in 3 days" I say fine that works thank you. I call 3 days later and ask if it's ready because I live on Staten Island I don't want to pay a toll and give up time if it isn't ready, a female answers and says no not ready yet I say ok and she assured me later in the day it will be ready, I say ok I can be there by 2pm. I get there just after 2pm and she says she doesn't know where my jacket is...I think there's some kind of joke I don't understand...so I kindly tell her It's a little amusing but I have to be on my way, she walks around the entire store and comes back to the counter and says she can't find it, so I ask her what kind of business is going on here and she replied "sometimes the owner takes things home" at this point I'm infuriated, I ask Her what she means that he takes things home she then replies sometime she doesn't know why he takes things home he just does at this point I asked her would she mind if I actually went behind the counter and helped her look for my jacket. I did so and couldn't find the jacket anywhere. She then says the owner is at the supermarket across the street and should be back within 10 minutes. I wait for roughly 45 minutes, And he showed up just over that time. Once he showed up he began yelling and stating the jacket isn't here right now he doesn't have the die or coloring something of that nature, he says he sent the jacket to Kearny New Jersey to another cleaners because they had the coloring he needed I call the other cleaners and they say they have the jacket and it'll be done by tomorrow, Tamara rolls around and I receive a call while at work stating my jacket is damaged beyond repair and they'd like to buy me a jacket off of eBay. I was at work so I couldn't speak at the moment so I told him I'd have to call them back on my break, when I call back he says the same thing he said earlier that the jacket was damaged beyond repair and there was nothing he could do about it and says " there's nothing you can do just deal with it we can buy you a new jacket" The jacket I had was an official jacket from my father not somebody is junk that has been sitting in their closet for years, Both shops proceed to say there's nothing they can do about it and I can't even see my so-called damaged jacket, Till this day I haven't seen my jacket again he said well just take me to court if you have a problem with a jacket off of eBay and ""it is what it is "I personally recommend no one do business with this location at all unless you don't care about your items! My personal belief is they took the jacket and sold it because Jeff Gordon Recently retired so all of his memorabilia prices will be very high. read more

I get my lab coats and important clothing cleaned here and won't go anywhere else. He does an amazing job on tailoring all my clothes including all my dresses. Highly recommend. read more

I brought my Ugg boots to Professional Touch Cleaners on November 2nd, 2021 and I was told to pick them back up on November 16th. I go to the cleaners on November 16th and the guy who I believe is the owner tells me they aren't ready. I continue to call and drive there for them to tell me the boots aren't ready. Fast forward to December 13th I give them a call asking if my boots are ready and I was told to call back tomorrow. I asked the guy what was taking so long and he started screaming over the phone and he then hung up on me. I decided to drive to the dry cleaners and I was told the same thing and got yelled at. The guy ended up finding my boots in the back room and they were never cleaned. He tried to say I will clean then now and I said no I will clean them myself. Ruined my very expensive John Varvatos pants the *2nd* time they cleaned. First time no problem. After they ruined the pants (changing them from the original military green-ochre to very light wheat color) they tried to say it was "doubtful" they had ever cleaned the pants before. NEVER use this facility if you value your clothes, they certainly do not. They also get work outsourced from other cleaners all over the Jersey metro area so ASK your current cleaner who they send their dry cleaning to. If it's these guys GO ELSEWHERE. read more

Awful!!!! They destroyed $1,000 worth of high end neck ties leaving them with iron marks, warped, and discolored. I will NEVER EVER visit this shameful place again. I am completely devastated. Generally this place does a good job at your run of the mill cleaning, however if you need anything other than cleaning done I would find a different place. First I brought a patch here that was antique to have it restored. After keeping it for a entire month I went back to check on it and nothing was done. I was told there was nothing they could do to get it cleaned. That would've been good info to let me know after I had dropped it off. Next I need patches sewn on a military uniform. Not only were the patches sewn on improperly but two of the patches were lost. If I wasn't moving I would be finding myself a new cleaners!! read more

Terrible service. The owner is really old and doesn't understand when you ask him to do something. Instead of quoting you prior to completing the work he says "I'll take care of you don't worry"...which is his own warped version of the value he is offering. Asked him to fold and stitch an 8x8' fabric. Told him it doesn't need to be perfect it's only for a backdrop for a photoshoot. Instead he allegedly spend "a whole day" with one of his workers to make it perfect and wants to charge me $75! Had I known about the price before giving him my material I would've taken it back and went to a sane tailor. Instead I let him "take care" of me smh chalk it up as a horrendous mistake. read more

Mario was the name of the guy who claimed would take care of my WEDDING DRESS. He took measurements and all the good stuff , promised he will get it ready on time.. ONE NIGHT before my wedding..I went to try on the dress. Did not fit!!! I tried to call him to get his attention he ignored me and then said hey why r u even starting this, I did. What I could do, I can't fix it !!!!!! Why didn't u say that in the begging u Moron, I talked to the manager and they finally agreed to give me my money back. That was one day before the wedding.
