They are well maintained and there is usually plenty of parking, clean bathrooms in the community center and folks are generally nice.

The park is dog friendly, has a playground and there is a small parking area that doubles as a half basketball court. There are a few trash cans here but no poop bags for the pups so come prepared to clean up after Fido. There are no restrooms here either so take your kids and yourself potty somewhere else before stopping here. There is a lot of shade on the grassy areas. The playground is in full sun though so bring sun screen. The play area is designed for ages 5-12 and there are no swing or sand at this park. The park seems slightly neglected as there was a lot of trash and debris. We cleaned up a little while we were there. if the kids are antsy or you just need to get out and stretch your legs this is a good place to stop but I don't recommend this park for a full or half play day with the family.

It could definitely use more culture and zhuzh as there were many spots where a bit of design (such as a mural) would have improved the vibe. But that being said, it wasn't too bad for a mid-sized neighborhood park. Our favorite areas were the small overlook with stone bench and the bridge that connected back to the trail towards Lakes. Sadly, like Lakes, some of the trails that lead down from the bridge were a bit washed out so we didn't get explore as much as we would have liked but all in all we much enjoyed getting some steps in and would definitely come back - but perhaps on a day where it's not raining.

These two parks are often confused as one park, but they actually intercept each other. This is an excellent place to bring the kiddies as there is a pretty large play structure in tow. There's also a huge grassy field that's perfect for picnicking and other recreational activities. The walking paths are all paved and lead to other trails within nearby Hidden Lakes Park. There's tons of picnic space and each picnic area can be reserved for special events. You'll find a good amount of exercise equipment near a few of the walking paths. Parking is easy and there are clean restrooms on site. This is the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll or a light run. The large grassy field space is also very desirable for dog owners. I immediately noticed how clean this park was as soon as I arrived. They definitely do an excellent job of cleaning and maintaining this area. I'd say that this is one of the better local parks in the area.

There are so many overrated parks around - this is not one of them. I think its an underrated park in an underrated city. Martinez is one of these cities that just isn't Walnut Creek or Danville or Orinda. A more affordable city and a family friendly one. Its good to get out and take a walk. I recommend you do that once in a while and why not try a different park from what your used to every once in a while? If you have a dog they will particularly love it sniffing around someplace new. Some of the park is noticed from the main road - Morello. You might even see some people enjoying the basketball hoop from there. Just the 'curb appeal' of the park will get you interested to see more. When I got here with Sweets had in gear this launch mode I hadn't seen since he was a bit younger. His enthusiasm was intense and I was surprised since for the most part he just likes to stay at home - Netflix and chill. There really is something for the whole family to enjoy here. A very underrated park that you need to make time to see one day soon.

Love all the multiple slides as well. Everything felt nice and safe. Highly recommend. I like the fact I haven't seen some of these structures at previous parks. Meaning the fake rock to climb on and the spinning colors and one of the music features. Very fun and entertaining.
