He has played multiple sessions in both co-ed and boys basketball. Oliver (the director) and his team deeply care about the well-being and growth of the kids and have done a fantastic job managing the program through the aftermath of the pandemic. The community of parents is simply amazing - warm and generous in spirit and trusting and supportive of Oliver and the program. If your child (boy or girl) is into basketball and you want them to experience rec-level team play in a supportive environment then you will want to consider this program. I'm still thinking of the ONE mega Nerf gun we wrapped and the ONE Star Wars Lego R2d2 build that some kid is getting when like 90% of the other kids are getting Matchbox toys. It's like a Christmas Lottery LOL This was a great event and way to give back in a very clean space with lots of spirited people. Local restaurants donated coffee, pastries, and salads during the 8am to 5pm shifts. Each table had a list of schools and age ranges where we would choose what gifts to wrap. I went straight for the Legos and Nerf Guns because I wanted to wrap gifts I would want as a child. We were also encouraged to bring gifts tp donate which we did as well. Great location, safe, plenty of parking, we'll organized, and tons of fun!

But manager didn't rent them a place all though, there was an available room. I am sure she could have help and support us in this hard time. That's absolutely not except able . After hearing great things about their programs, I enrolled my daughter in a new basketball program called Junior Warriors that they were running for her age group. Their rec director Tony provided a great orientation for parents on the first day so that we all understood the mission of the program and what to expect. Very helpful for a first time basketball parent. The other coach Brian was amazing with the kids and making sure everyone was engaged and learning. They are both super knowledgable and responsive to answering parent questions. We are going to give their summer programs a try this year - so many options for workshops and activities every week. He focuses on teaching you proper technique and footwork. I've learned more in a few lessons with Lucas than in 6 lessons through San Mateo Park and Rec.
