Dishonest, rude, and shady service! Go ANYWHERE else but here! EDIT: The "master" technicians told me the recommended service I paid for would stop squeaky brake sound. Immediately after my car was serviced, the brakes continued to squeak! They brushed me off and said to drive 500 miles. I did that and brought my car back 5 TIMES and they still could not figure out the issue. After I got my car fixed here the parking brake light turned on as well, on top of the original squeakiness, plus shaking of the brakes before stopping! The issue is this shop is filled with incompetent workers, and PAUL the owner who is the ultimate scam artist. You have time to respond to every review with paragraphs faulting the customers but don't have time to be a respectable business man! The reviews that should be looked at are the PAST REVIEWS ON THIS BUSINESS, stating this company did not fix, broke, and flipped cars! BEWARE!

The upside is their mechanics are certified, their work is guaranteed, and you will get a firm estimate before they start.

OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH I stopped in to see if they were able to fix my bumper topper I got from…read moreweather tec last summer both corners of the topper ( Guard ) was coming off I figured they had much better adhesive at the body shop then the tape weather tec uses to install it . One of the workers came out right away took a look at it called the manger out there to see if they were able to remove and install it so I won't have to worry again about it coming loose . They immediately took my car in the shop took off the bumper topper cleaned all the old adhesive off my bumper wiped down with alcohol to make sure all the dirt and wax was completely off the bumper they installed extra adhesive that they use at the body shop to make sure that it would never come off again they spent over a half hour working on my car I was so glad it was finally done right . I went to pay him he told me NO CHARGE he said it didn't take him that long . I am a Disabled Vietnam era veteran for the manger and the other worker to give there time , material and knowledge to fix my car was so heart warming to me I broke down in Tears . I'm not used to that kindness I was given today thank you from the bottom of my heart you don't know how much that means to me it's a day I will never forget THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS

Communication was horrible throughout.

Meineke Car Care Center - Oil leaks weren't fixed

Meineke Car Care Center

I had a very concerning experience at Meineke Car Care Center on boughton rd and would not…read morerecommend this location. I went in for a free inspection to get my ac checked and I feel like I was given misleading and dishonest information. I was told my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee required the newer, more expensive YF (R-1234yf) refrigerant and that it could cost around $500 just to recharge the freon, but I would have to pay 169 for an ac diagnosis to see if it's a leak or anything else. However, my understanding is that this type of refrigerant is typically used in 2017 and newer vehicles, which immediately raised a red flag. They also claimed my oil was "very low" and that I had an oil leak but that would be a different diagnosis cost because they would have to degrease the engine and find the leak. Them not knowing that I just got the engine leak fixed from the housing. They showed me a picture of a completely dry dipstick, but it looked like it may not have been properly checked (as in, not re-dipped after wiping). To be sure, I went to Grease Monkey for a second opinion, and my oil level was completely full. Additionally, they recommended multiple repairs and services, including replacing the front lower control arm, flushing "dirty" brake fluid, replacing both air filters, and changing front and rear wiper blades. I just bought new blades and I had someone look at the picture and where they pointed to sayin my front lower control arm was torn/cracked and was told that it was a ball joint and it was fine according to the picture and if my steering wheel isn't shaking or I'm not hearing a noise I have nothing to worry about. My blades also work fine and given the incorrect oil diagnosis, it makes me question the accuracy and honesty of all these recommendations. Their future recommendations stated to replace the shocks and struts they said they were worn and based off age and mileage they should be replaced every 50,000 miles. I strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs here. This experience felt misleading and eroded my trust completely.

Took it back 4 more times kept the car for two days returned it, drove it for one day and the light came back on. Now I have to dispute the charge. This is totally unacceptable. Only thing I see that was done was spark plugs that normally would only cost 10-20 dollars a plug. Terrible!!!!!

They run an honest business and truly deliver VIP-level service every time. My entire family takes our cars there because we know we can trust them. Bill and his team have a wealth of knowledge, take the time to explain things clearly, and genuinely care about their customers. It's also great supporting a veteran-owned business. Thank you for your service, Bill, and thank you for always taking such great care of our vehicles!

THE CARS (FEAT. MIKE + THE MECHANICS)…read more Like a greatest hits CD I'll never tire of hearing, speedy auto service at a fair price is music to my ears. Okay, so it's actually BILL + the mechanics who run a tight ship here at the Grease Monkey on Normantown Rd. This is an A-Team of friendly professionals that can handle almost any job, big or small. They can guarantee an oil change in under 30 minutes. Some sh*t happened to my poor Mazda a couple months ago and I had to have it towed for repair. Although it took a few days, they were able to replace a new ball joint and they charged me a reasonable amount for parts & labor. Fast forward to now, and I'm getting a standard oil & filter change. When they rang me up, I mentioned that the owner had said he'd "help me out" next time I came in. At first I got some blank stares, but after a few minutes of deliberation they came back and dropped the price from $101 to $86. This beat the $5 off online coupon, so I'm glad I asked. I'm not sure they topped off any fluids (brake, wiper) and my car's interior definitely hadn't been vacuumed. I already knew their car wash was out-of-order, so I didn't expect a sparkling exterior. On the other hand....I'd much rather save 15% on my bill and clean the car on my own time. * TL;DR * Honest, thorough, and they'll have you back on the road in a jiffy. If you need car work done, head over to Grease Monkey in Romeoville, not the Bolingbrook location on Boughton (who once fed me some pretty glaring misinformation about my broken-down car, requiring it to get towed a second time). As others have mentioned, Bill is a genuine dude. His team works TIRE-lessly to provide solid customer service, and in an industry where tons of people are overcharged and taken advantage of, you won't encounter that here. Great experience, I'll definitely encourage my wife and others to bring their business to this Grease Monkey.
