At 4:30 they still hadn't touched her car so she checked in. They told her they actually don't have time to do it today because they're "too busy". I scheduled an appointment for a wheel alignment on Wednesday January 7, received a call from the manager to confirm my appointmen. My appointment was supposed to happen on friday the 9th. Well come Friday and I show up to my scheduled appointment and the rude manager tells me they didn't have ANYONE to perform my service. Brought my vehicle in for tire change. They took 4 hours when they stated it would be 2. When I picked up my vehicle the tire pressure sensor wasn't working. I was told to drive it for a few miles and it would be back to normal. I gave it a week and the sensor still wasn't working. I took it back and they said the sensor was broken even though it wasn't when I originally dropped it off. They said they would replace the sensor for $20 even though they broke it. Picked the car up again and the sensor was still not working. Save your money don't bring your car here for anything. read more

Took my car in because I had a screw in the tire and ended up having to buy a new one. I was told it would be quick, but it took over 2 hours before they told me the car was ready--only for them to claim the tire had no sensor, which makes no sense since my car was alerting me about the flat. Then it took another hour for them to take the tire back off and put the sensor back on. On top of that, when I mentioned how long it was taking, the manager proceeded to go back and forth with me instead of just owning the delay. A simple tire replacement turned into a 3-hour ordeal. I came to get my tires service. Waited about 5hrs then as I pulled off the tire was still marking low pressure. They put air in it and then the next morning AGAIN it was low. Same tire! I went back and they said it would be over an hour wait to just take the car in. I rescheduled and the desk manager said it would be only 30 mins in and out and I've been here now for 2 more hours. Terrible experience. I'll keep my business moving forward to discount tire if Bolingbrook. At least they get it right the first time. read more

I was very impressed with the service at this location. I haven't driven my car in a while and I needed air in my tires, instead of rolling their eyes like some other tire companies or wanting to charge you. Mavis Tire was willing to fill up the air in my tires for free of charge. They also have a unit right outside their front entrance which is also free of charge but do it yourself when they are closed. Check them out! They don't just do tires. They also do tuneups smog and other repairs all again free of charge to see what needs to be done. You can't beat this location or at staff. read more

This morning I called the phone number on Google for Mavis Tires & Brakes in Bolingbrook on Weber Rd (630-425-0635). l spoke to a Service representative and asked him if it was possible to get new tires put on today. He said yes and made my reservation for 2pm today. I arrived at 2pm and told the man at the front desk I was there for a 2pm reservation to get 4 new tires. He said that I spoke to someone from a call center and that the call center doesn't know that the reservation time is not guaranteed and that this was a first come first serve business. He said that I would be able to get the tires but they only have two techs working and it will take an hour to an hour and a half. I sat down, waited, and then after the 1st hour I went up to the desk and asked how much longer. The man didn't give me a straight answer, only that they would have my car done before they close which was at 5pm. At 4:15pm, 2hrs later, I asked again how much longer and the man said let me check, he then came back and told me he was sorry for the long wait but unfortunately they cannot put on the new tires today. I had Mavis in Bolingbrook replace the rear shocks on my 2009 Mazda 5. They charged me $300 for one hour of labor. I complained that this was prohibitive. They gave me $40 back. The labor cost was $260 for just one hour of labor. Do NOT ever go there to have them work on your car. Most mechanics charge $80 to $100 for one hour of labor. Charging $300 is way too much and is simply unacceptable. I had to pay to get my car back. I will NEVER ever go back there. read more

Won't be back here again! Scheduled to get new tires, spent $700 for them to take my wheel lock key. I am from Chicago and we got the tires done here while visiting family. We called to get my wheel lock key back and they gave my boyfriend a bucket of wheel lock keys to try out on my wheels. Which, we did not loose they did! Then he told us to come back to speak with someone who is the manager, because we are not looking through a mountain of wheel lock keys. Then when we call about this to the manager it was the same guy who talked to my boyfriend. Okay so we drive back out after talking on the phone making sure he is there, when we get there he is trying the wheel lock keys from the bucket on my car, but, then he gives up and offers to buy a new one I gave him the bag I had from my original wheel lock key and he told us to call back and he will have it at the end of the week. Like ok, we have to drive out here from the city for the third time now. So we call to see if it's there only for him to say oh we need your vehicle in order for this to get done like what? You didn't call to update us about this? We asked for a corporate number and he said he's only the manager and he doesn't have the number for corporate? Like who doesn't have a corporate number? But anyways So I went ahead and bought my wheel lock keys myself because this place is ridiculous! All could be avoided if you just return what's not yours. Plus the management act like they have short term memory loss because they acted like they have no idea who we were. So unprofessional especially having people go into a bucket of wheel lock keys. This is a decent auto rapir and a tire shop. I take my cars there for oil changes, new battery and ofcouse tires. Staff there is knowledgeable and courteous. There prices are on the average side (maybe high average) compared to the competition. They provide free tires pressure checks and air service. My only concern with them is if the job is slightly complex or if you bring in a German vehicle their mechanics may get a little perplexed. Over all I would recommend them. read more

3/8/25 - Went into the store to ask about their 50k brake warranty since mine are still squeaky after servicing there. While waiting there, I was talking to the customers about my less than ideal situation there. The store manager said I need to leave or he would have me physically removed. Pretty sure it's illegal to promise customers a warranty, do a faulty job, and then physically intimidate them when then come in to ask for more details. Not surprising considering you often use physical intimidation and openly lie to cops 3/4/25 - Check has been mailed and delivered as promised 2/24/25 - after insisting I did not want to meet in downers grove, I finally met the district manager at the Bolingbrook location. We started to review the footage. While reviewing, I ask if he can zoom into the engine bay. District manager claimed their system doesn't do that. I directed him to the magnifying glass and showed him how. He said the frame freezes when zoomed in. I showed him it wasn't and how to readjust the angle. This proved the district manager never looked at the footage, or is intentionally messing with me. We see the mechanic unscrew my radiator caps from 2:00 to 2:03 on their security system. District manager then starts trying to physically intimidate me, so I asked if another employee or the police can be brought in so we can have a third party in the room with us. After bring the store manager in, we all start fully reviewing the footage. All three of us clearly see the mechanic never screw my radiator caps back on. Panicked, the district manager said he isn't sending me the footage and to leave his office. I called the cops. Lying and gaslighting me is one thing, but he straight up lied to the cop saying the damage was already there. Civil lawsuit seems to be the next steps, and looking like I got all the proof to make it a zesty one. Edit - The aggressive lying district manager closed my case, but I reescalated to corporate. They were pretty helpful, and shortly after his boss, the regional manager, called. He seems to be way more helpful and understanding after we reviewed the footage together and talk through the situation. The regional manager took my address down and promised to mail the check for the repairs. Will follow up once receive. 2/13/25 - Yesterday, the district manager reached out claimed no wrong doing . I asked for the footage, and he said he can send me a PICTURE proving no foul play. I said a picture for leaving my car with MAVIS for over 3 hours is unacceptable, and I asked to see the footage for myself. The district manager aggressively started gaslighting me and told me my car was never there for three hours. 2/10/25 - They left the engine coolant cap off my car when checking and now there is engine coolant everywhere and my engine is cooked. Literally. 2/7/25 - No consideration for your time. No call backs and over 3 hours wasted. I simply wanted to get my brakes check and my whole day has been wasted read more

Want to share my great experience with maevis tire in Bolingbrook as well as recognize Kevin the manager and the team. Came in on a Sunday evening 15 minutes before closing with our 2006 Nissan murano and they were kind and courteous enough to inspect the vehicle to determine what was wrong with it. We then proceeded to make an appointment to come back Monday morning. Kevin and staff went out of their way to accommodate us and to make the necessary repairs at a fair price and to get the car back on the road. This place doesn't even attempt to hire employees who work in the shop. They will only hire service writers who try to sell you stuff you don't need. I feel sorry for the two guys who work in the shop who are constantly over worked while management breathes down there neck rushing them through jobs. quality work is not done fast. I called around 10 am and was told to bring car in. Came in around 11 am and checked in. Waited till 12 30 and they didn't even started on my car. During my wait, another customer was forced to leave after two hrs wait cause they couldn't find his wheel lock... the customer's fault. I agree... but two hrs to inform the customer?? That should be a sign. After discussing with the associate, I ubered back home around 12 30 and left the car to the shop. I did see a worker walking to my car when I was leaving, so i was happy thinking that it probably wont take much longer any more. I figured I would just come back later for the car. Around 3 10 pm the shop called me, they accused of engine problem with my car cause they cant figure out how to start a stock bmw.... we rushed to the shop from costco and started the car without any issue(put key in, press start engine button). Waited another 30 min and they still didint pull our car in. So we left in the end. I am shocked by the fact that tire shop with auto technicians can not start up a car, also amazed at how it took them close to 3 hours to inform the customer that they can't the car. After leaving our car with them for an entire 5 hours, they were not able to complete one single tire mount. If you don't get whole day to wait, don't go to this place. I was a NTB customer for a long time, and then Mavis moved in I still used them as my tire people, until my daughter had bulge on her tire, I drove over to Mavis and said "I need a new tire R7515 and I wanted a front end alignment that was at 11:00am so we went home at 4:00pm I called and asked if the car was ready, they said it would be ready in 1 hour that would be 5:pm we drove over and the car was on a lift so I walked over to see what was going on and what I saw was an associate putting on the new tire, so I went over to the manager and asked him what was going on he said your tire is done. I said it's been 6 hours, what took so long? how about the alignment he said" that will be another hour", so I went home it's 5:00pm now, in 1hour he called me and said " your car is ready how long do you think it will take you to get here" this is 7 hours later after I dropped the car off, It gets so much worse, we went to pick up the car and I told my daughter to drive around the block while me and the manager and 1 associate waited she said it dove ok, I paid and we left, you would think that it was over but the next day looking at the tire what they put on turned out to be the WRONG tire it was a R7514 instead of a R7515 so I went back they said we will replace it right away which they did, then I said to the manager you need to realign the front end, he said to me you don't know what your talking about I worked on cars for 16 years and you don't need a new front end alignment even though we put on the wrong size tire, well I talked to the associate who did the front end alignment and he said YES you need a new alignment, little did this manager know, I worked on cars for 45 years and the associate that did the alignment was correct. I am so unhappy with this company and this location that because I live so close I will be telling every car that drives in that they should be aware of what's going on at this location, they lost a very loyal customer and I guarantee others will hear about what happened to me. read more

Called about 12:30pm and got myself an appointment for an oil change. I came to the building about 12:40 and waited almost two hours inside there building for an Oil Change which usually takes about 30-45 minutes. Very long wait times and two of the employees that were working today continuously took there mask off. After a couple times of seeing that I decided to wait outside. An employee comes to tell me at 2pm they just started my car and it'll be done soon. You can tell that the two men that were checking in people hated their jobs. Daughter went in for brake pads, they said rotors were bad as well, 100% worn on front pads and rotors and 90% worn on rear pads and rotors, first brake change ever needed on vehicle, didn't even evaluate if rotors could be turned, $800.00 charge for service. One of the rear tires on my Jeep Wrangler was severely leaking air. I came in on a Sunday 20 mins before closing and Johnny took care of me right away. Poor service, poor communication and flat out lied to. Called to have tire repaired. Was advised they were busy and wait would be at least 1.5 hours (no problem and at time appreciated expectations were set). Dropped car off around 10:30am and advised them I understood it would be 1.5 hours. Was told "we will try get in in sooner." To which I advised I would not be waiting so 1 to 2 hours was fine. I asked if they would call when ready which they confirmed. After not hearing anything I called at 3:20pm. The person answering states "yes it's done, I tried calling and no one answered." I go to pick it up, telling my ride no reason to wait only to learn they had not touched my car. I can understand in today's environment many business are short staffed and things do not go as planned. I would have been upset if told they simply could not get to my car but to be LIED to that it was done and they tried calling in unacceptable. Used to buy all my tires and batteries from this place. I've been going here since it was NTB. Great service, they care more about just making a buck. Example, I needed to add air to one tire. I was happy to remember they offered a free air hose. Not only did I get free air, the guy filled up the low tire, asked if he should check the others, when I discovered the tire caps were gone and asked if I could buy them there, the guy insisted on just giving me four replacements. I asked him to take a look at non-essential part on my car, he gave me a few options including repairing the part, removing it and dealing without it, or having the part ordered and put on. Not only did I enjoy that he gave me options, but I also liked the pricing. I decided to go ahead and replace the part and he communicated with me while the part was on order, and when the part came in, he called to have me schedule a time to come in. I had a small, unexpected window of time that came up and he easily accommodated me. A+ for options, communication, pricing, and flexibility! Please take your car here! I had a road trip planned so I called for an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. They said if i could come in within an hour. I was there in 20 minutes. I was told it would take an hour, 30 minutes to do the job, but not until in half an hour. So i waited... for 2.5 hours. That was last Saturday. Left for road trip Monday morning... 300+ miles later, noticed a a hesitant start of the car. My uncle checked the oil even though i told him that i just had it changed. Good Evening l hate l have to write this review, But felt l had too. Today l just got back from Hawaii and while l was out of town my son's car was vandalized. Well I took it to Mavis like I do all my cars to have the tires replaced. Because I live in Romeoville, I did not want to drive the car up there and mess up my son's rims nor did I want to have it towed. So I took the tires off the car and I asked the manager Kevin, who was there that my son had warranties on these cars and I would like to have these tires replaced. I understand that the warranty does not include vandalism, but I would like to have the road hazard warranty put on them. Kevin spoke to me as if I was an idiot and told me that he cannot insure the tires. I said. I understand that you can't insure the vandalism part. But l would like the road hazard on these new tires. He said how do I know that these didn't come off someone else's car. I had my wife send the license plate of the car and of his car jacked up. After further consideration he said I can do it. and I said I need this form filled out because my son went through his insurance company. Kevin gave me a look as if I couldn't afford the tires and that I was trying to beat the system. I had to tell him not to speak to me like I'm an idiot. Like l didn't comprehend what he was saying. After finally explaining and we came to some logic, he gave me a high price tire for two tires for $275. While I was speaking to him, my wife was on the phone speaking to Firestone because of the service that I received from Kevin. This guy should not be in management. I will no longer take my car to Mavis. I'm sorry but you guys have lost a great customer because Kevin has poor customer service skills. read more

Appointments are useless because you still have to wait a min of 2 hours for ANYTHING. If you have a newer car don't go, if you have a foreign vehicle definitely don't go! I'm not sure how they are still in business. Left car at 10 to get new tires. Said it would be done at 1:00. They called after 1:00 and said they couldn't get the wheels off because they didn't have a lock tool. Then said they could get it off after I told the to just change the one tire and we'd get the other ones done later. Instead of going across the street to oreillys to get a lug tool they broke all the lock lugs. Then finally at 4:30 they let my teenage son leave but never mentioned each wheel was missing a lug bolt. This place is a complete joke, we are new to the area and only went there because my son broke down across the street. I hope they enjoy the $700 they got from me, because none of my 4 cars will roll in their parking lot again. read more
