GREEDY business. I have been using this company for several years, contracted at 60$, but they have been consistently charging my card $65, when I realized I called in and Sara said she noticed it and credited me but nothing further was credited. I also asked for a lower rate as I don't get indoor sprays that I am charged for plus you pay dbl for bimonthly and 1/2 the service. I asked them not to charge for my next spray as a courtesy for all of the overages I have paid, Her response was "why would I do that"? How about to keep a good customer that you have OVERCHARGED FOR A YEAR! since they don't see it fit to take proper care of good customers I don't see it fit to continue giving them my business. About 6-7 years ago my husband and I called this company and met Andrew. He knows his stuff. He's on point with changing the variation of pest control chemicals that are all pet friendly. There would be times I or my husband weren't home and he had no problems doing his thing and leaving us a receipt in the door. You can also get email receipts. Andrew's very good at communicating. If we saw a new bug he'd tell us what it was and got right on it. The receptionist, Sarah, is awesome with scheduling, rescheduling, pausing services or in this most recent case we moved and just needed an address change. She's very personable and friendly. They all are really. Back to bugs - since we've started using their services we have not once, not one single time, had any sneaky bugs get into our yard or home. Mind you - at our old residence, our neighbor had no pest control and his house was infested with german cockroaches. None of those suckers made it next door. The best, when I hear online reports about bugs and scorpions , I can only guess they don't have a monthly pest control service. When we moved to LV from the Bay Area 3 years ago it's one of the must haves for living in the desert everyone told us you better get. We have never seen a scorpion, ants or roaches. I would give them a star rating higher than 5 if there was one. I've been with Progressive for almost 3 years now and i have nothing but high praises. My place was somewhat scorpion-infested when i moved in. I assumed the previous owners didn't bother having anything done with bugs/critters/insects. I was literally smashing an average of 3 to 5 adult/mature 3 inch bark scorpions a week! After getting stung twice (once while i was asleep), I yelped and called 4 different companies and settled with Progressive. John, the technician assigned to me from day one, is always prompt, friendly and most importantly, very trustworthy. I've met and spoken with the owner, Farrah and her son, Bobby, on very few occasions when they would come and do the treatment whenever John was not available. The office always ensures to call or leave a message a day prior to John showing up. I am fully aware I can never ever totally get rid of them damn scorpions especially in summer but at least now I don't see them every week, or every month. Am free from all the insects/critters/spiders/roaches. My assumption is, sad to say, that they all crawled over the fence and re-settled next door. read more

Hey all, just a quick update on my service experience with Progressive. I have worked with Progressive Pest Control for about 8 months now and I have been very happy with their regularly scheduled service. Today, I was in a small panic as we discovered a beehive that was in our tree, but it was causing the tree limb to droop to a low height of about 5 feet and into the middle of the sidewalk. We were very concerned for people walking by as the mail boxes are at the front of our house. I called their office and within 45 minutes of them contacting me, their technician Bruce came to take care of our needs! Bruce was very knowledgeable, explained the process, what to expect and it was perfect. I also asked him what some spots were on our roof as I thought they were dead bees and he identified them as pigeon droppings and he proceeded to go to the roof, put spikes onto the areas and MORE places where he identified they were resting. He even helped fix a couple of the roof tiles that were not aligned and he glued them back in. Great service, great advice, and above and beyond. I just moved to Henderson and have been amazed at the amount of scorpions, black widows and roaches I have found in my house and around it. Yuck! Welcome to the desert! So after some research I found Progressive. I called them up, scheduled my first appointment for the very next day, told them about the coupon I had from yp.com (saved me $50) and couldn't wait for them to get here. They arrived on-time and sprayed everything. The owner Farrah came and I was blown away by her knowledge and fascination of scorpions. Progressive is one of the few companies that includes scorpions and black widows in their regular monthly treatment. All of the other companies want extra to get rid of them. So far, dead bugs everywhere. Love it and Love them! I gladly signed a 1 year contract to get the best possible price and I am so thankful they will be back every month. I also love that they call me the day before to remind me and that they always offer to come in and spray the inside of my home. Great job! I would like to respond to the comments by the owner. First, while you may be the owner, we were told Gaspare (sp?) held a major stake. Himself and Mark are the employees who receive the most rave reviews. Neither of them have been seen by us this year. Gaspare is gone, and if Mark is still around, he does not service our area anymore. The new techs that have come out have not done poor jobs, but they are a far cry from our prior techs. The job was done, nothing special. When we called after getting home from vacation, we were told it would be FOUR DAYS until someone could come out. I work from my home office when I am not traveling. My home office window looks out to the street. A Progressive truck DID pull up, and someone knocked on the door. I was on a call with a customer and could not drop the call to answer the door. No one called us the day before to inform us of this. Had they, I would have expected someone and not scheduled a call. As for spraying every other month; I called three other companies to set up new service. None of them spray monthly. Each told me that if someone is spraying once a month, the chemicals must not be capable of lasting. Our new company, Bulwark, uses Cy-Kick CS. I did some research on this product, and it is designed to last 90 DAYS. This would indeed validate the every other month policy. I am no expert on extermination, but the writing is on the label. Las Vegas has brutal weather, but it is no worse than the midwest has been. It certainly isn't as dramatic as Florida, South Texas and Louisiana. If it can last there, it can last here. Let's face it, pest control is essential to living in the desert. I use to think cockroaches were disgusting when I saw them in subway stations of NYC, and to transplant to Vegas only to find out they are EVERYWHERE no matter how clean your desert home is, almost sent me packing my bags back to the East coast. Further, black widows and other creepy crawly bugs are just as prevalent. Thankfully, I met Farrah, the owner, during the termite inspection when we were purchasing our home. I liked her company and that it was small enough that she actually came out. She was professional and genuine. After that, Nick became our technician for our quarterly service. That was over three and half years ago! Quite impressive to consistently have the same technician, and Nick is quick, friendly, and professional. One time, I was pleasantly surprised that Farrah showed up for one of my quarterly sprays, because she was giving her staff the day off for a holiday. How nice she is! I pay around $100 per service and it is well worth it. While they are always happy to tackle any special problems, the quarterly service has been very effective. I never needed an "extra spray" and I noticed less insects in the home soon after my first service, and now bugs don't seem a big deal with regular sprays. They spray inside and outside the house. It is gentle enough for my pets, yet strong enough to keep the bugs out or kill the ones that get in! I highly recommend Progressive Pest Control- nice people, effective service. read more

I called these guys on the recommendation from a coworker after calling Orkin for a quote. Orkin's Customer Service department called me THREE TIMES but never had records of my previous conversation with them, and they were going to charge way more than Progressive. Suffice it to say - I went with Progressive. What a great company! I can't rave about how good they are enough. There was a mild hiccup with my first appointment - but it appears to have just been a computer glitch (happens to everyone) and they were very prompt about getting me set up again. I have decided to do an update giving Progressive Pest Control a 3-star instead of my prior 1-star. I decided to update to a 3-star because I feel that a 3 is more accurate and fair. Over the year and half to two years I had service they were always great and I never had any problems. Also, even though I had to take a beating for it, in the end I did get what I wanted. The owner put a stop to service and I didn't have to pay $150 to do so. Also the owner did try to contact me after I posted my review. I never called her back because I cannot imagine there is anything she can say to me that would in anyway make what she did, and how she treated me better...I just don't want to hear it, but she did try and that is admirable. If you are thinking of going with Progressive you will be happy with there services, but I would warn you NOT to sign a contract. There is no getting out of it. If you do sign a contract keep your own records, also be prepared...trying to get out of a contract with Progressive (for any reason) is hard...like trying to roller-skate over rocks hard. So if you get verbally beat up by the owner when you try to cancel, just know thats the beating you have to take to get out of it. Good luck. read more

We think Progressive Pest Control provides great customer service. We had scorpion problem when we moved in our house. After a few treatments inside and outside including common area around our house we don't see scorpions anymore! Zach comes out each month and sprays inside and outside. He also puts down some type of pellets too. This best service we have since have been in Las Vegas. Our previous pest control did not spray enough chemical because we would always have to spray ourselves. And treating outside was extra. And they will come out again if you have a problem after their monthly visit. But, we do not have to do this because they always do it great job! read more

So far so good!! We are trying a new exterminator as the ones we had we not very good. Don was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We had some remodeling done to our backyard and we think that the wood deck we removed may have brought out some scorpions!!!! Not having that!!! Power spray today and hopefully they will not be back. Don told us that there's no such thing as complete eradication which I understood. I was just appreciative for the honesty.
